"Shinano" runs between Nagoya Station and Nagano Station. The section between Nagoya Station and Shiojiri Station is JR Tokai, and the section between Shiojiri Station and Nagano Station is JR East. Online reservations cannot be made for JR Tokai sections. You can make online reservations for JR East sections, but language is only in Japanese, えきねっと: EKI-NET www.eki-net.com/personal/top/index
