Superb work ❤️ The Hitachi A-Train E257-500 series, which arrived in 2004, was upgraded to the E257-2500 series in 2019 and to the E257-5500 series in 2023. The E 257-500 series was in yellow, blue and green livery, in 19 interconnected 5-car units. After the upgrade of the E257-500 series to the E257-5500 series, there are more than 5 interconnected 5-car units. The E257-5500 series has been assigned to limited express services on the Takasaki Line since 2023: Akagi and Kusatsu/Shima services.

Since December 2022, the E657JR-East series has happily revived the colors of the Fresh Hitachi Limited Express Inaho of the E653-1000 series on the Joban Line, under the name "Revival Color" which is inspired by the tourist spots of Ibaraki Prefecture: - K1 June 2023, Blue Ocean, inspired by the Pacific Ocean. - K-2 April 2023, Daffodil Yellow, inspired by the flowers of Hitachi Seaside Park. - K3 September 2023, Orange Persimon, inspired by the autumn leaves around Fukuroda Waterfall. - K-12 February 2023, Scarlet Blossom, inspired by Kairakuen Garden. - K-17 December 2022, Green Lake, inspired by Lake Kasumigaura. Commissioned in 2012 on the Joban Line of Greater Tokyo, 19 ten-car EMUs make up the limited series Express E 657 operated by the Eastern Japan Railway, JR EAST, although derived from the e259 series, the similarity seems impossible at first glance. Built between 2011 and 2019, the E 657 series replace the E 651 and E 653 series of the same manufacturers. The E 657 series is present on all Hitachi and Tokiwa express services between Shinagawa and Sendai on the Tōkaidō, Ueno, Tokyo, Jōban and Tohoku (shinagawa - iwaki) and Tokiwa (shinagawa - katsuta) lines to and from their destinations. From Sendai, they operate the entire Joban line. Trains also run between Shinagawa and Ueno after the opening of the Ueno-Tokyo line. They were to run between Ueno and Iwaki. Some Hitachi services serve Sendai after the reconstruction of the Joban Line.
