Hey Buddy! Thank you so much for your video and assistance. My neighbor gave me the Linksys along with 3 more. I did not have a clue on how to use them. My WiFi has been slow and he moved on to some company and gave me his linksys. Thanks to you, it is all set up and working like a charm (I think). Again, thank you.
Thanks for the video! Helped immensely in connecting my Samsung 4K TV in a poor WIFI signal area of my basement. Keep up the good work!

Haha!
Thank you sir for your help
Always welcome!
Hi - great video! I did follow it exactly and the setup was successful, however now my router is no longer communicating to the modem. My router is a Linksys too. I am not sure if this is a coincidence or not but after the installation of the wifi extender my router is no longer connected. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Very helpful video
Glad you think so!
Thanks
Thank you for showing All the steps.
Very helpful
Glad it helped!
Love the names of your networks !!!! >:} hahaha

Very helpful video.! Thank you. Question: I noticed that the setup site reads “not secure “in the address bar. Any concern for security with that since the page shows the actual WiFi password and I assume is not encrypted ? I was a little concerned. Thanks
Yup not encrypted. Glad we could help!
Thanks bud
Thanks. Very easy.

You’re welcome 😊
Gracias bro
You bet!
I do have a blinking light and am 3 feet away from my router. However, I do not see the linksys Wi-Fi in my list of Wi-Fi networks?
Will the Ethernet port work backwards to a bridge
Thanks for the video very helpfull the thing is when i finshed all the set up steps led is yellow i repate it still yellow why never green ?
Solid green/yellow is correct. It will depend on the model.
The video is a great my holiday home wifi is very slow and week and I am ps5 to keep me distracted this will help for downloading games
Awesome!
Hello can you help me whenever I plug the extender in the socket it instantly turns to stable yellow and it doesn’t reset from any pin or paperclip
Thank you sir! Must appreciated
Most welcome!
It was so helpful instructional video. I was able to set up my AC750 Linksys extender just following the steps in the video.
Everything is running great, Great Speed and strength but sometime i lose the internet connection and it gets reconnected on its own. Please help how to fix this
Try rebooting the main router too. See if that helps with the disconnect.
This happens to me too, did u fix the problem yet?
Thank you for this! I have moved my extender a couple of times. I have a solid amber light. I can't seem to get it to green. Is green a vital color?
This will help out a ton!
www.linksys.com/us/support-article/?articleNum=318365
@@HelpCloud thank you for this. I can only get a green light if I plug this in right next to the router. As soon as I take it across the room (not large) it turns amber. I called Linksys and at some point there was a sliding bar to show the connection. I can't seem to get back to that part of their website.
I have two Linksys RE6350 range extenders that I want to connect to my router. Can I put my own password when setting up instead of using admin? Also once I get the extender connected to my router will the other range extender automatically connect to the router since I have two Linksys RE6350 range extenders? Thanks
Great video and very informative! Just curious, what is the F**k-Box on 3:47? 😁
Hey hey! Thanks a bunch for the video, but I just had a question about what may’ve happened to mine? I recently reset it so I could go through the whole setup again, but every time I plug it in, it immediately goes to a solid yellow, and won’t show me the setup wifi. The WPS button also seems to be unresponsive. I know it’s a very strange case, but I just wanted to see if you had any ideas. Thanks!
I would press the reset again and start from scratch.
Thank you this helped a lot! I set this up on my phone. Will this automatically send the increased Wi-Fi signal to all my other devices or do I need to connect each one to the WiFi-EXT network?
You will need to connect them to the EXT enabled networks.
So u have to change the WiFi each device connects to?
@@hilarydaimler1083 yea you have to connect every device to the ext network
@@Its_me23555 thx it helped me my extender helps me with my signal for devices outside cameras and lights. Thx
So i had to split my bands.
Once i did i could try the setup again for the 2.4 and 5.0
But for some reason the 5.0 keeps saying the password is incorrect. I double checked and its not...dont know how to proceed
Great video. Will this work with ATT U verse. Trying to extend wifi in shed in back yard. Would this work by putting in the shed.
Depends on how far the shed is. It may be best to place inside the house closest to the shed.
Mines not showing up on wifi, you know any thing about that?
So I got xfiny would that work
how close do i have to put the extender to the router for initial setup? my building shares the wifi and the router is in my neighbour’s place who lives right below me. you think i could get away with setting it up without having to go down to my neighbour’s?
As close as you can. If the signal is weak upstairs to begin with, it may have trouble trying to setup the extender.
I just got this, idk why but this is pretty good with ethernet
Mine has worked well, are you in AP mode or extender mode?
So when u connect the extender to ur computer through wifi settings, does that connection alone allow u to be able to reach the website to continue the set up? Sorry if it’s a silly question, just need clarification. Thanks :)
Yes, exactly.
If I wanted to put this WI-FI Extender in my bedroom and use the Ethernet plug to my PC will I need to setup the extender to "As a wired range extender(Access point)" when setting it up. Thank You and Great Video!!!!
That is correct, you will want AP mode.
@@HelpCloud Thank you, huge help!!
So if I connect this into another area in my house, and I have a desktop in that room, can I wire it to this thing with the Ethernet cable? Will it be just as good compared to plugging it in straight to a modem?
Yes you can do that. It wont be as good as a wired connection, it will all depend on the strength of WiFi the device is getting.
I know this is an older video but I’m hoping you can help me, I have xfinity with just a normal router will this extender work? If so after it’s set up can we unplug and place it where ever or would that require us to set it up again
It will work, once setup you can unplug and place it where you get the best wifi signal before drop off.
HelpCloud Thankyou, this helps a lot we moved into a brigger house and I can’t get WiFi in my room good at all
Will I be able to plug in an Ethernet cable from the extender to an Xbox and still have the extension run
Yes, you can "capture" and extend the wifi to a device that is plugged into the ethernet. Although my experience with gaming that way has caused some lag.
Is there a way to get rid of the extension on the wifi name? So this way your device like iPhone can connect to what ever is closer automatically? Or will you always have two separate wifi names
With this device the _ext is automatic and can't be removed.
Do you need to have a 5Ghz connection? Or you can just connect if you have a regular 2 GHz? I’m planning to plug in this wifi extender in my room and use an Ethernet cable to plug into my pc
Nope, it can do either or both.
So I have a bell network and it shows the Name Bell799 only once but it shows it has 2ghz and 5ghz wifi the first password works but the second doesn’t any tips?
The wifi name should have an _ext at the end if it is setup correctly.
I set mine up by just pressing the WPS button on my router and the Extender. It was easier that way, but I'm not happy with the connection. The Ext wifi turns off and on. I mainly have it so our smart TV in our living room and my sons xbox can connect to internet. But we'll be watching TV or playing xbox and the wifi keeps going down. But the wifi from our regular router works just fine.
Anyways, I'm wondering if resetting it and setting up through the browser would be better....
Try moving it closer to the original wifi source so it can get a stronger signal.
@@HelpCloud I have. Closer, further away, i've restarted the router, all that.
I got mine to work on 2.4ghz but it won't work with 5ghz. Was reading online to try wpa2 to get 5ghz to work.
Hi, I need to have my TV working in my garage. My hubby bought 2 extenders. Is it possible to extend twice because the signal is so weak. Like plugging 1 in my kids rooms near towards the garage and plug another extender in the garage near the flat screen? Let my know. ty
It is possible but still may be pretty slow.
Mines connected but has a yellow light on it , could you help on that ?
Yellow just indicates it has a medium signal strength from the wireless source. You may need to move it a bit closer if possible.
Have u tried it outside? Do u get a better signal outside your house? I have ring cameras I want to setup outside but they don’t get enough wifi signal. Also have WiFi lightbulbs that work with google that I want to use outside but haven’t got them to work outside the house?
I haven't tried this outside. You may want to look into a WiFi Mesh System. We did a review on the Deco M5, they provide far better signal.
ua-cam.com/video/C6we5ixMuXQ/v-deo.html
So after the set up I can unplug and put it where I want or do I have to set it up from the beginning each time I move it?
Once setup, you can move it around until you get the best results.
When I try to connect to the extenders Wi-Fi nothing comes up
thank a TON but do you know if having a ethernat in your computer boost your wifi
Having an Ethernet into your PC will not boost your wifi.
does it boost anything?
Are you able to set it up as both a wireless range extender and a wired range extender?
You can plug a device into the ethernet cable as well as have the wifi extension.
I’m trying to reset but when the amber light for the reset is on, the setup will not appear in wi-fi. it continues to show my old wi-fi network and i do not know the password
Hold down the reset button while plugged in for 30 seconds. Then let it reboot.
will this model work for extending a network with a single band? (there are not two options 2.4 & 5 GHz)
Yup!
@@HelpCloud Is there a different procedure for that? it keeps asking me for both and won't work for some reason :(
Can we take links us out the room after we pair it and put it somewhere else
Yes, you will want it placed within the "strong" range of the current wifi in order to repeat it effectively.
Ive set it up and connected it. It has a solid amber light, what does that mean?
The Power / WPS light indicates the following:
OFF - There is no power on the range extender.
Blinking Green / Yellow - The range extender is starting up, resetting to factory defaults, upgrading its firmware or WPS connection is in process.
Solid Green / Yellow - The range extender is ready to use.
Solid Orange / Red - There is a weak connection with the router.
Blinking Orange / Red - The range extender is not connected to the router or other network.
Perfect . My PC doesn’t have onboard wifi and I definitely didn’t want an Ethernet cable running through the entire house nor do I want a wifi card to take up my 2nd PCIE slot . The wifi dongles on Amazon have such mixed reviews I was hesitant. This is actually perfect Because I can use the wifi extender in the farthest rooms in my house and hook it up directly to my PC. Yusss
The extender will need to be placed towards the middle of the wifi range not at the end.
I have one of these routers, and I have a question. Would it be faster for gaming if I set it up as an access point? or range extender?
Access point would work better for gaming.
@@HelpCloud alright. Thank you so much, sir!
For sure!
Help! I've set up my extender but I don't know what the password is for the extender? How do I set one?
You will set up a password for the extender. Default info should be in the box/manual.
Whenever I find both of my networks , I can’t access them it won’t let me put the admin password word in or anything , It only tells me reset my router and try again which I’ve done multiple times
Same
Yep
Did you ever get a it fixed as I have the same now.
@@garrywynne1218 u fix it?
@@jbstoleyobxch7214 - fixed it by getting closer 🤷🏻
I did everything as you did and the WiFi doesn’t work. I tried loading up a UA-cam video on my other phone with the extended WiFi and it doesn’t work
I would reset to factory settings and try again. Double check that you have the correct credentials.
Does it have to be plugged into the wifi box just when ur setting it up or just as I set it up??? Plz someone tell me quick
For which mode?
@@HelpCloud nevermind I got it
hey it doesn't show the setup on the internet network list
Did the setup say it has completed?
I just bought one but which wifi do I connect to after my setup? Do I connect to the one that has the _EXT at the end? Thanks.
Yes the _ext is the new network to connect to.
@@HelpCloud Thank You!
Question i didn't connect my 5ghz at first but i wanna do it now how would i do that?
You can log into the unit and configure the settings. extender.linksys.com
Everything works, just the light isn’t green any reason for that? Much appreciated 🙏🏽
It appears I misspoke in the video. Here is a list of light status indicators for this unit.
Blinking Orange / Red - The range extender is not connected to the router or other network.
whats the range on it and how many walls can it go through?
Extend the range of your wireless router up to 6,500 square feet, eliminating dead zones.
Is this compatible with apple airport extreme networks
Quick search looks like it does indeed work with Apple Airport Extreme Networks.
How do we do a factory reset
Press the reset button on the left side for 30 seconds whuile it is plugged in.
The extender setup wifi doesnt show up on my phone settings, and my extender is powered and blinking amber, what do I do
Plug the extender in and hold the reset button on the left side. You may need a small pin or something.
So you can move the extender after the setup process without having to re-setup the extender?
Yes you can, just make sure it keeps a strong signal.
@@HelpCloudAwesome THANK YOU! My download speed went from 16mbps to 168mbps!!
That is a nice jump! I would recommend rebooting(unplug/plug back in) it every other week or so just to keep it fresh.
@@HelpCloud Okay thank you! I realized after about a week it started to slow down again and didn't know that was a thing so thanks!
Does changing your WiFi extender passwords change the password used for the normal WiFi?
No it does not.
So is this a seemless connection or do you have to go into settings and change it?
This does NOT offer seamless roaming. If your mobile device isn't swapping automatically, you need to do it manually. I did a recent video on a WiFi Mesh system called the Deco M5. It is a bit pricer but gave MUCH better results and features seamless roaming.
ua-cam.com/video/C6we5ixMuXQ/v-deo.html
@@HelpCloud going to check it (video/product) out now, thanks!
I’m trying to use mine currently and the name to connect the WiFi exterender will not pop up on the WiFi search bar what do I do??
I would factory reset and try the setup again.
Do you know why my wifi extension has drop outs ?
It may be too far from the modem/router.
So I had it connects by an Eathernet cable and wanna do it without it now but I also go a new router how can I reset it?
On the left side, take a pin and press the reset button while it is plugged in.
Got it thanks 🙏
