Osmo Pocket 3 in Glencoe: The ultimate cinematic test.

- Greetings Everyone!
This video looks at what I've discovered about the Osmo Pocket 3. It's overwhelmingly positive however there are a few things that I have noticed that I thought I would let you know about.
If you are wondering what the still images are like from the camera, then wonder no more! Have a look at some of the shots I managed to capture with it. Disclaimer - I did a LOT of editing in Topaz AI and Lightroom to get them where there are in the video.
A HUGE thank you to everyone that watched last week's video and subscribed to the channel! It certainly gives me belief that we can hit the target of 1000 Subscribers and 4000 watch hours. It might take a few months more, but we are now well on the way.

Great video David and good to hear your thoughts on the Osmo Pocket 3, I have to agree with you it is certainly a game changer device. I did get some STARTRC filters with mine in a bundle deal from DJI Retail together with a Hard Carry Case. I have not tried the filters yet, but may have to check them out as I have seen some mixed reviews on them. I have however used the FREEWELL filters on my DJI Mini 3 Pro Drone and if the STARTRC ones turn out to be a disappointment, then I think that FREEWELL also now do filters for the Pocket 3.
The filters are a necessity but they are also a pain to put on and take off!!! It really does help with the quality though!!🤗🏴

Nice MOOD shots & framing. Good to see someone who actually uses the Pocket 3 and pick away at it. Try a fade-out transition on your sound clip (I only use LumaFusion on iOS/iPad Pro 12.5 - no other computer since 2010), not sure what your editing with?

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback! I’ve been using fades both in and out but I think it’s just my overall music level is too high. I think I will try separating the entire audio track when a video is complete and use a compressor on it! Never know! Might work?🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁
@@davidmuirphotography May I suggest - on a second audio (music) track, just lower the gain on the EQ Master.
You know something ridiculous? I’ve been in a band for 30 years and I recorded, produced and mixed the albums! You’d think I know better but I didn’t realise that most of the audio tools from Logic are in Final Cut Pro!! I’ve used a Limiter, a Compressor and an EQ on my new video and, to me at least, it’s night and day!
I got a few bits of clipping when recording audio on the wireless mic so I have changed the gain input and output for the next one!!!😊😊🏴

I’ve started out building amps and speakers in the 70s’, High school sound for stage, then to full sound for large stage acts (including outdoor sound), then to DJing (clubs and mobile) from 78 to about 2019. Sucked as a musician! play base and rhythm guitar, with some African drumming. I love sound patterns and tones the provoke emotions. For me, it’s best not to speak in my films, but allow the music and visuals to make the stories. I really enjoy your work and looking forward to your next project. MeHi from Newfoundland

Nice video/pictures. Im going to use pocket 3 on and inside my car. Any tip to reduce vibrations? it's very sensitive.
Also did you take the pictures with pocket 3 at 3:18 and so on?

Thank you for the kind feedback! I literally just held the pocket 3 in front of me whilst driving and you can see how stable the footage is in the video!! I didn’t use stabilisation when editing but I dare say you could for even better results!!
