The only reason i watched the grammy's was because of Taylor Swift. And to find out she won best Album of the Year and broke a new record for being the first artist to win 3 albums in different genres (country, pop and alternative). Taylor is a legend!

I like that you mentioned how wide Taylor opened her mouth on the "mine to lose" note in August. It's a habit of hers to open her mouth very wide when she's belting especially and i find it helpful to emulate that when i sing her songs

Little known fact: her vocals have always been great when it's just her and the guitar. If you look at acoustic versions of her songs from 10 years ago, you'll understand what I'm talking about. People think she's a crap singer because of a few performances they might have seen of pop songs like Shake It Off.

I don't even know why I'm here, I appreciate a wide variety of music and you know how that works, watch one Taylor Swift video and suddenly they show up everywhere. As much as I am impressed by Taylor Swift and what she has accomplished, I've never really gravitated towards her music while recognizing that she is an excellent songwriter and story teller. All that said, August is a complete vibe. I understand why my daughter is a Swiftie ... and suddenly a Chiefs fan, lol.

One question I had was how she controlled her breath so smoothly during the first song of the medley. For almost the whole first stanza, she seems to be lying flat on her back until she sits up in the second verse. If she was singing live, wouldn't this make it harder for her to breathe and sing smoothly? True, as the camera pans out, we can see that she was actually leaning on the roof of the stage house, not on the floor, but even so, whenever I am on my back it is harder to sing than when standing up straight.
she is not laying totally, if you can see the roof it's slunt, I tried it, I layed back and sing and I did it 😊

@@mr287s No, she is not lip-synching, although it is hard to sing laying flat on your back, it is still possible if you can. It is made possible by gravity, we can see that she isn't really laying horizontally, she is laying on her back diagonally, thus, make's it easier for her to sing. You can hear her taking a deep breath before singing in Cardigan, as the mic is in range with her mouth. Hope this answers your question! :D
