I have a buddy who works for McLane he tells me the pay is stupid good but you earn every cent, I have lots of respect for you food delivery guys out there! Takes a certain personality to make a living and last in that industry, isn’t for everyone! Kudos brother!
@@adolfo1264 so how many days a week you usually work.. when does your day start.. about how much you bring biweekly after taxes... Looking into McLane
azeleapark yeah i dont work for them but i work for a company that was bought by them and im going to say if they would have never bought us everything wouldn't be shitty
Nice job. I started w ben e keith a week ago and today i took a spill off the dolly ramp and blew out my knee and finger. Going back to hauling fuel where i belong. Commend you food service guys. Hard as hell work
Two compartment. Nice. When I was at Ben E Keith, it was three compartment and their policy was to load the truck where you can't get the bulkheads open all day. They claimed it kept the refrigerated and freezer sections cooler. I did this kind of work for 20 years. Sometimes I miss it. But not often. I now drive linehaul for an LTL company. Drop and hook. Great benefits and similar pay, if not better. Only problem is I put on weight.
I like how there isn't a cooler bulkhead to keep the dry and cooler separated. Fresh meat most likely way out of temp all day. Looks to be like fresh chicken. Judging by the rust on the real door, they haven't been using a 2nd bulk head for years.
Why do they need to do that? There is a freezer reefer behind that bulkhead probably at minus 10. The second refer unit you see in the video keeps everything else cool in front of the bulk head . Probably set at 33. This is completely normal bud.
K Dub yeah but if your real door is open while you’re unloading especially if it’s not winter time, your cooler is going to be out of temp. I work for Sysco and the cooler, freezer and dry is all separated
Most food delivery company in California pay starting 22 hour top of scale like 28 hour for most companies plus ot delivering gas to gas station pays from 27 hour most places once u been there few year you be at 31 hour plus ot superior tank line pays good for fuel good luck to all of u
@@mikecollins9791 yeah, I work for qcd and they work me like a dog. They are trying to be more cost effective so they are trying to eliminate helpers for full sized trucks. They pay very well, but people that work this job are either in pain going to be in pain or slowly dying because of the amount of work

Do you have stops where you just drop the pallet?
Sometimes.. But they are very rare.
I drive for pepsi, so I feel your pain. I was looking into going to food delivery, but it looks just as bad.
Pushing a dolly is getting old.
zacatetas you wouldn't make that at the branch I worked at.
How much do you make? Which state are you located in?
I no longer work there. It is located in the Chicagoland area...and it didn't pay enough for the hours and type of work.
