It seems that the worse the exotic performs, the cooler it looks. I mean, spacemen, spider eyes, having the universe as your head!?!? But they all suck performance wise.
Yeah it's pretty depressing.
Best titan exotic is also by far the ugliest: Twilight Garrison. Damn thing is just hideous, wont change color with shaders even. Very salty about this.
I know this is an old comment but if you still play Destiny they changed it so that the Twilight Garrison uses shaders now. It looks much more badass now lol. :)
EpicGamerzFail kepreis sting it's not that good but looks fuck amazing
Sunbreakers much
Titans are the Swiss Army knife of destiny
Agreed.
Crunk Crayon I mean, after the great Hunter genocide of 2016, they do kinda need a buff. but anyone who thinks titans are op deserve to be examined.
KillertitanV2 it's true, apart from when sunbreakers first released and jug shield ,they've always been balanced more or less in pvp compared to hunters and warlocks and they've always been the workhorses of pve. So glad I picked it as my first character
EpicGamerzFail anyone who thinks hunters are even remotely comparable to titans need their heads removing and sent back to the womb
KillertitanV2 just looking at the jump, it can do what both hunter and warlock jumps can do, just not as well
Twilight Garrison. Nuff said
Tuna why did they nerf it 😢
HAMMER2702 YIPPIE it's was way to op and it's still insanely good what are you talking about
Scoobalu -Destiny and More It's still good, but it was nerfed for no reason because Bungie doesn't know how to balance the game
Tuna no it was nerfed cuz it was op
RadiantFireHD Yeah beause moving is op now. At least you didn't become invisible and invulnerable like shadestep, and you had to activate it in midair. It also took skill to use at its full potential, something you can't say about many things in Destiny
if only titans had a quick draw exotic I would never leave
Kianou Acfalle NOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBBBBBB
I agree on pretty much all the ratings except ruin wings pve one that is a definite 9/10
If the Ruin Wings worked as well as the Raid gauntlets (and they should.. because Exotic) I would agree.. but they don't. I agree with Patrick, they are just too unreliable for me.
Having used them both extensively I have a hard time believing that.. Raid gloves in the raid give much more reliable drops than Ruin Wings anywhere.. including previous raids.. and I was an avid user of Ruin wings from the moment they came into being.. just my personal experience with them
Spaceman in spandex 😂😂
Acd/0 feedback fences were my favorite before dunemarchers came along. I cant not wear these boots now. Feedback fences will always have a special place in my heart, especially after i got a kill while afk bc someone punched me
This guy rated the Peregrines lower than the Stand Asides, I am FURIOUS
peregrine's is kinda useless in pvp and there's way better pve exotics...
Tarv Is One of which isn't the Stand Asides, though my opinion is based on the release version of the boots that didn't improve shoulder charge at all, and at least Peregrines provide a fun factor.
yeah no, I don't think anyone has ever used stand asides.
Patrick did say it was only for the turn radius tho. it's nice but the Dunemarchers are the best for that. i agree though, way more use from Peregrine.
Hay fun fact with feed back fence's range a Warnock with it basic melee can melee you and not get get hit.
darn Warnock melees
zorin234 What's a Warnock?
Eclipse Warnock is a secret subclass for the warlock. gives you sniper melee range and a roaming super with the health pool of oryx and you gain access to a y1 gjalathorn.
unless you,,x move forward
As much as I love Glasshouse and Armamentarium, I will stick with Ruin Wings for PVE. Stacking it with a sniper that has Surplus means that every pack of heavy gives you like 5 rockets/50ish sword energy. Having more heavy ammo drop from enemies is just a bonus.
uh they fixed that tracking glitch on the helmet a while back. i tried it while using gjallarhorn and truth, and tracking works. also the bellicose is useful in pve even though its situational. one example is when either poe, challenge, heroic and/or nightfall have the airborn perk so a 2/10 is kinda low. but yea,no one would will replace it over other useful exotics
+
Keron Stewart dude are you serious. Both truth and gjallerhorn already have tracking
Farrel Taylor
i know that but holtzman said the helmet removes tracking from all rocket launchers which was the case when it was released. not anymore cause bungie have secretly patched it.
I thing that glitch is fixed with Taikonaut so it will not turn off tracking on a launcher with tracking on it. I second the comment on Bellicose. I love it during PVE events that involve Airborne.
THUNDERBUNNY210
which is the only time it should ever be used. though they should have increased the duration of the belicose perk. as for pvp , its more or less dead on. not everyone is like datto , unknown player , cammy cakes or true vanguard that makes sky sniping so easy with this helm or by using the angel of light perk for warlock sunsingers
For me twighlight garrison is an 11/10 for pvp, they're SO useful if your good with them. Just like shadestep.
And that´s why the rating given above is fair: it depends on user training and success/error. Some exotics like Arma are way more forgiving and act passively, TG has a very steep learning curve and it´s simply not for everyone.
true but if you learn how to use TW it is the best
Still wont stop a hawkmoon to the skull
scout wizardman This commemt was made before they buffed hawkmoon
They fixed the Taikonaut tracking glitch a while a go
Totally agree with everything, except Dunemarchers, I'd bump those to a solid 9.
10/10 on appearance! I would totally wear this with SRL armor so I could be a space man in spandex! -Patrick Casey 2017
I feel that your assessments are fair and accurate. I love Dunemarchers and Twilight. Try Dunemarchers while running during the Kings Fall Raid. I usually slam the Deathsingers before the snipers show up.
Glad to hear Ninja_With_No_L (angle, not L) getting some love. He's incredibly talented, and is a blast to watch.
Honestly the dunemarchers are what the RDM's for hunter /should be/.
For the Bellicose, I argue for a SLIGHTLY higher grade because for certain strikes/nightfalls, it makes the airborne modifier really useful.
I main ruin wings and I agree. Sometime there are huge droughts, but, wether it's my luck or whatever, I seem to get pretty consistent drops
Makes me feel better about almost never taking my Armamantarium off
Garrison is by far the best armor piece for me I never take it off lol great vid Pat!!
Yes, I just created a titan 3 weeks ago and this will help a lot! :-)
Selthafour\\\ I just started using them about a week ago and I love them, thanks!
Jordan Green no it wont because he didnt give an accurate representation of titan exotics usefulness
I've always loved the Armamentarium. Second Exotic I ever got and I never took it off back in Year 1, although it was a tad better back then since you got more Special AND Heavy ammo instead of having to choose between them like we do now. I have no idea why Bungie felt the need to nerf the Armamentarium that way, I don't think the extra ammo was that OP.
No back up plans were also nerf badly during the update. You used to be able to survive most supers with around 3/4 of your health left over
I would personally rate Twilight a bit higher in PvE as it is a massive benefit to skating (can pass a lot of the acceleration process)
GenericUA-camNameHD yes
GenericUA-camNameHD true, but in pve a handful of other exotics are far more beneficial
All I wanted was Feedbacks getting some good PVP recognition and you gave it, thanks~. I still can't take off Dunemarchers in PVP since I got them, but the Feedbacks were a long time choice for me as armor defender in the crucible.
technicality: Ruin Wings doesn't give you Surplus as you stated, rather its perk "Seeds of Ruin" actually stacks with Surplus, meaning you can get 6-7 rockets out of one heavy brick in PvE with, say, a surplus Aoife Rua-D equipped along with Ruin Wings... when heavy decides to drop.
I personally love alpha lupi because i pair it with my iron regalia helm which has the perk angel of light, and sincebi mostly just do trials, skirmish, and strikes its perfect to revive quickly and charge my super even faster
Now you done fucked up!!!!!!!! you disrespected the Peregrine Greaves.
You're damn straight we will
Swain The Titan hooorah
just as a heads up, the skullfort still provides Transfusion in the striker perk tree if that would bump it's rating at all.
Brandin Lewis i think it should. allows for Aftershock or headstrong, although i would definitely take aftershock.
It does provide transfusion the perk just doesn't say so.
As someone who doesn't own a controller with paddles and can't claw (so Garrison is much less useful), Dunemarchers are a godsend.
i really enjoyed all of the exotic armor rating videos. Next stop. exotic weapon rating and what situations they perform best ( i.e. crucible, trials, strike, raid or it sucks dont use it ). anyway thanks bro! oh btw, do you live in seattle yet? i live near seattle, would be cool to grab coffee sumtime. leme know bro!
Zach Leathers dregs promise sucks dont use it. arguably worst exotic in the game, no shit beyond has an extremely high learning curve and shit damage compared to most other snipers so waste of time if you want to kill alot of the tine, chaperone again has a big learning curve as its a one shot headshot kill only shotgun. young wolfs howl is the worst exotic sword out of the 4 with the arc sword being the best for pvp but the second worst for pve. mainly stay away from these 5 guns and life will be easier
peregrine greaves are really good when you are facing a bubble titan in trials. you can just titan skate in and take out the titan while your teammates have snipers trained on the other guys. as soon as the bubble drops the other two go with it.
my top 5 personal favorite exotics across all classes
5. Nothing manacles
4. Celestial Nighthawk
3. Bones of Eao
2. Ophidian Aspects
1. Twilight Garrison
MagnOx_HD no one cares
My Dunemarchers have not come off since week 1 of ROI. They work well with my play style and look badass.
Patrick Casey, are you going to do an exotic review on the weapons? I'm just wondering, it's ok if you don't.
I will be. Just waiting for a weapon patch so the video isnt immediately outdated.
Patrick Casey well you're going to have to wait for a while then.
Patrick Casey do more PvP commentaries. its fun seeing someone that can go outside the meta.
I would wear the Taikonaut with SRL armour so I could be a spaceman in spandex! - Patrick Casey 2016
I think The Glasshouse should get a few style points because it looks fantastic when you've got a full set of blue chroma gear and a black shader.
Empyrean Bellicose is 9 or 10/10 when airborne is active
CaptainCole Is it really that good?
CaptainCole I've never tried it....
AwesomeGoldenGamers it's wonderful
The only value this helmet has in PvP is when the airborne perk is active. If you have airborn + specialist - it is really fun. Try it out.
Peregrine greaves have some strange properties in PvP. For example, your shoulder charge ignores Juggernaut shields when they are equipped
V1cT depends on when u activate the shoulder charge. u have to already be through the shield or coming at an angle. Violate did it in a myth busters video. but even then, u don't need the Peregrines for that. but still awesome to knee a self res in the face.
Why did you give the armamentarium a 8? You even said that you can't take them off. I don't think that it should be a 10 because it's not broken or OP, but it's definitely a solid 9.
If you have the airborne modifier in strikes, the empyrean bellicose is quite good
So my predictions for top 3 Titan Exotics were Armamentarium because Titans love grenades, Twilight Garrison for that mid-air Shadestep, and Mk. 44 Stand Asides for the sprint turning.
Two out of three ain't bad. Guess I over-valued the range boost on shoulder charge. Also didn't know how stacked Dunemarchers were for mobility perks.
Dramatic_Gaming I never take them off.
Dramatic_Gaming dude they are stacked!.....IF the hunters Frosteez and radiant dance machines, had sex...
the dunemarchers would pop out!
Dramatic_Gaming wrong for 1 outta 3 the best 3 exotics for titans are
1. Armamentatium- because its a subclass universal exotic and the extra grenade is useful anywhere.
2. Helm of Saint 14 for pve- Blinding enemies is good for team modes. Dunemarchersfor pvp- Extra speed, extra ADS strafe speed, and tighter turn circle . nuff said
3. Twighlight Garrison- deeper learning curve than dunemarchers, but extra movement abilities are extra tools.
Twilight takes some practice, but combining it with Titan skating... let's just say your opponents are going to have a hard time keeping up. Agile directional change without sacrificing top speed is huge.
Keeping the angle at which you change that direction around 45-60 degrees to the right or left will keep you from taking all of your momentum away.
Appreciate the mention in the video.
Been a Striker from day one. Double lighting nades is still all around king.
Twilight garrison got nerfed with shadestep, a while back....It's still great for mobility, just not as useful anymore.
Ive been having way more fun with dunemarchers and sprint artifact.
yes the garrison helps in pvp but titans should have the dodge ability on the thrid jump so we could have it naturaly. the garrison is a double edge sword its amazing when you use it but severely criples you if you try to use anything eles
peregrine greaves come in handy when you need to take out an armor of light Titan in a bubble
The Taikonaut was fixed a while back, idk when but I read it in patch notes.
Didn't rate the Mark of the Sunforged
0/10 unsub
Year Two Titan Exotics: "Let's give Titans Hunter and Warlock abilities!"
Only downside really with twilight garrison is once you use it all the time, you cant use anything else. Also I would have given it a 5/10 in pve because I once clutched a bomb set off back when oryx challenge was a thing and TG had the double boost. Could not have gotten there in time otherwise.
i agree with EP helm but love it still :) gave me a tier 12 build due to my stat roll 5/5/2
I always forget that the Mk. 44 Stand Asides even exist.
I use Garrison for everything. would give 10/10 for both. Movement speed is just so good.
Daddy Lequan then you sir are crap at the game if you cant use other exotics than "oh shit im in trouble and need to dodge out the way" how about oh hey everythings dead because i just armamentarium double thermite grenaded everything so i dont have to dodge "oh shit theres alot of enemies coming outta that doorway that look like they can kill me, better boost dodge away" nah just pop bastion ward of dawn with helm of saint 14 right in front of the door.
TG is good, but when you use it for everything, then that shows you dont truly know how to use it properly. kinda like radiance warlocks who use fireborn ALL THE TIME. they die more often than most other subclasses because they are playing lazily. yer they can come back to life, but the idea is to stay alive , not i die, self res, kill stuff, die to a stray bullet, self res rinse and repeat.
How am I crap because I use tg for everything?
Feedback Fence is great if you are in Thrall territory.
Patrick Casey may be next time you could have some gameplay of them
helm of saint 14 should be at least a7 if not 8 for pve. i use it in the raid to blind adds all the time. glasshouse deserves a 7 too as have extended WoL duration for your whole team during a boss dps phase increases damage time and lowers ducking in and out time. taikonaut is not still bugged . having radar active on HMG and rocket usage is very good and the taikonaut can provide tracking to launchers that have grenades and horshoes and turn them into mini truth launchers. no backup plan i think should be a 7 instead of 8 for pvp as they only really work best with a max str setup. armamentarium should be a 9 for both modes not 8.
patrick casey anyway you can make a list for all of the exoitcs from best to worse
The Armamentarium never comes off. Ever.
twilight garrison aint perfect but definitely deserved at 9/10 IMO too ✌
I just want a huge pvp patch!
I think you underestimate the quicker revive a lot! :)
Loving your tier list videos.
you should make one of these for exotic weapons
"A good example of this would be Thorn or Vex Mythoclast in their most powerful states, also known as Violent Thorn and Shin Vex Mythoclast."
TWILIGHT GARRISON IS THE BEST ANYWHERE
"don't be to angry if i didn't rate your favorite exotic as high as you'd like"
heh, i like twillight garrison... a lot... i mean i'm completely adicted to it no matter where, giving it a 9 in pvp is right up my alley and i can say that it isn't all that good in pve unless you wanna get to the bad guys faster.
why did you give the Thagomizers a six out of ten? those things can be incredible, game hanging if you run correct gear
good video but I love the dunemarchers so much that I think they get little bit more love in pve and yet I still see why they get a low rating in pve
brilliant video...keep them coming. looking forward to warlocks and hunters (warlock master race) 😉
warlocks and hunters already got their list.
hey patrick, sorry if this has been asked, but does the taikonaut stack with the raid gauntlets? also, I see you in the tower all the time so we must live near each other. I live in West Kentucky so I truly hope you aren't anywhere near this area for your sake.
im a main titan but I highly disagree with this list mainly because helm of saint is the best titan defender exotic out there and it was par with the no backup plans on this list.
I main a striker Titan and since I got dunemarchers I have used them for every encounter even the raid ... I have a problem
are you out of your friggin.....just kidding love your content you are by far my go to when I'm looking for weapon or armor info thanks for what you do.
good ratings, I concur.
Twlight Garrison is a 4 for PvE?? This piece of Exotic can save your life in PvE in so many different ways, it deserves at least a 7.
ricecakejohnson why do you need saving if the enemies are dead lol
what about an ability tier list that'd be unique
Time traveling Guardian from Destiny 2 here, ah. I see eternal warrior was always garbage
I wish Bungie would just make twilight garrison bonuses intrinsic to titans, so I could actually use different exotics :)
cletus2941 that would be op, then youd have to give hunters shadestep intrinsicly and come up with an intrinsic boost dodge for the warlock
not the same thing............
I swear peregrine greaves grant extra tracking. They just do weird shit when you use them
RedAlertSteve _ no...
RedAlertSteve _ but I love them anway
Dunemarchers 7/10 for pvp and 9/10 for twilight ? When the marchers give you tighter turn radius, faster sprint speed and faster movement while aiming ? I know these ratings are mainly based on your own preference, but geez at least give them the same rating as garrison Patrick.
TFW the highest rated exotic for Titans is a sublcass node for Warlocks.
Jason R?
Armamentarium - Two grenades
Even though Garrison is 9/10 for PvP the Armamentarium is technically the highest rated overall.
I always enjoy your videos man, keep it up Holtzmann. Hope to run into you in the crucible!
Are you going to do a weapon tier list too?
Is there going to be vid or videos about the exotic weapons?
I disagree with u on ruin wings for me they are a crouch when im on my warlock I always struggle with heavy ammo and need them but they are useless in pvp though
Thagomizers with overload are the best shits in PvP
Glasshouse is equal to Saint 14 in PVE?
Good point, but is probably a close call given they are both Defender & team support exotics. In that context, which is better depends on the mix of PvE. I think Glasshouse is more beneficial in Wraith of The Machine Raid, but rarely use it for Nightfalls & Strikes (where Saint 14 is a strong contender). Saint 14 worked really great on this week's Nightfall.
Saint 14 Combined with a Exotic Sword is incredible potent. You have a safe space to dip in and out of, and deliver great DPS.
My issue with Glasshouse is that almost in all cases were the extended time would be useful, you are typically reloading and can jump back in the bubble for weapons/blessing.
I understand the low rating of the Peregrine Greaves and the low intelligence required to use them in pvp, but I don't care. Ignoring all damage and kneeing enemies in the face so hard they die is too fun not to use them.
Twilight Garrison... a 4 in PvE? :O
It's understandable. PvE already gives you far more options for terrain cover, and juking AIs is not really a priority. As a Hunter, reasons to use Shadestep other than for style points are few and far between.
personally I think that hunters should have dune marchers snf titans should have the frost-Ees. it just makes more sense and would benefit the classes better.
Jason R Titans are a beast with Grenades so Frost-Ees would work better for Titan sense that run around more often. It meshes well with the Titan class.
On the dune marchers case, the hunters are built to be a fast class. It's what they are meant to be so it would make more sense for hunters to have dune marchers because they don't benefit from Grenades as much as Titans do.
Jason R I can't really say that, titans have some of the best nades I'm the game. Lightning, suppression, sticky, incendiary. They're all really good. Frost-Ees don't enhance the Grenades, it just recharges them faster.
So why not let hunters at least move faster which would help out the bladedancer which really needs help right now and also compete with The Vows while the Titan would get all around better with the Frost-Ees from the grenade recharge.
Jason R yeah you could add speed to Frost-Ees. That would be good.
armamentarium great. I agree with the rating
Peregrine one sots supers right... 2 of 10?
Helm of saint 14, is an easy 9/10 for pve
Carl Stair Not too much any more. Just run armor of light if you have to deal with douches in your bubble and you're fine. They used to be the only real choice, but Bungie redesigned the encounters in this game so that it doesn't happen as much like in year 1 and part of 2
TheLycanStrain I trapped so many yellow bars in the bubble and killed adds or others with weapons of light then came back. Even omnigul and a few other majors. You can block entry points it has so many uses.
The tracking isn't bugged anymore
saint 14 helm is just like warlocks obsidian mind: used to be 10/10 pvp and pve exotics in year1 until better exotics came
What do you recommend for the challenge mode raids?
Bellicose is great for when airborne is a modifier on heroic strikes or nightfall:]
Adam Daelemans but it also makes you an easy target in pvp and pve as you are highly visible motionless in the air and you HAVE TO ADS
Jason R bro ive used it, it does exactly what angel of light does on warlock hold you in midair, yes you have a slight idle drift, but you are essentially montionless because you cant change guns, throw grenades, melee, dodge, boost or anything except ADS and shoot. so forgive me for classifying slight idle drift, which actually works against you not for you, as montionless
Honestly the only Titan exotics I ever think to use are Twilight Garrison, Armamentarium, No Back Up Plans, Dunemarchers, and Helm of Inmost Light. Everything else is garbage lol
Marcus Williams 4 out of 5. HoIL is not even in the discussion.
j riley Oh man I am tripping. I didn't mean Helm of Inmost Light lol. I meant Helm of Saint 14.
