I was happily surprised to see Rise of Fenris on here. If you love Scythe, it really is a must have. I played through it three times now, and would still not mind doing it again. And the best part is that everything in the box can be used in a regular game of Scythe as well.
I've only played Eila and Something Shiny out of all these, and I can vouch it's a solid story-driven game. It's such a unique way to tell a story, and super cute yet relatable.

I don't drink coffee but my wife does and I bought that coffee for her and it is her favorite coffee she has had. The only downside is it is a little on the pricey side but she says it's worth it.
I've bought Many Worlds Taverns coffee at BGG Con, it's really good and pretty strong. They've started to add tea to their inventory and I'm excited to try it soon.
Oh yeah. Oathsworn does have some awesome sculpts. Just finished chapter 14 and amazed with the sculpt in box 14. Also impressed with how varied each boss battle is.
@@Quackalope Yes, yes. And, I must admit. Boss 13 knocked my whole Oathsworn troop out. Thankfully, my companions came in on relief and took the boss out. That battle was down right nasty!

Honestly? Thought you were going to pull a KDM is my number 0, so I had no idea what your number one was. I have to really start getting some games in with mine, and get my brother to put his KDM together already. Coffee ad was good, shout-out at the end for them was better. Definitely taking a look, and glad they were willing to support you. Also need more coffee.

I’m not sure if have gotten or played it yet but Lands of Galzyr is really great. There isn’t leveling but your character does change over time. I know you are a story buff and it has that in spades. Can’t wait to dive into our next game.

Let's be honest, it's the campaign game all other campaign games are measured by these days, and for it to not crack your top ten is amazing. Great video as always, loved the transitions!
Your channel has been an acquired taste for me. Now I am a fan. Your content is great. You don't waste my time on non-game fluff and personal chitchat. You give a good feel for each game in a concise but clear way. This is your best video yet. While I appreciate all that went into it, don't kill yourself trying to maintain or exceed these standards. Sometimes good enough is good enough. And your good enough is very good indeed.
Just finished Oathsworne and while its still great, the more my group played, the more it feel down for us. The two main issues were their really wasn't any reward for you level ups, and several times cards you got were not as good as those you had. The other was the Narrative gave choices that didn't matter, and always just resulted in you getting on type of token or another for your characters.
Great video! I haven't played any campaign games yet however I'm intrigued to enter this genre of board games. I'm currently trying to decided between Tainted Grail King of Ruins or Oathsworn. Curios which way should I should I lean

I really enjoy Welcome to the Moon and Sleeping Gods. I haven't played anything else yet. I am all in gameplay for Tainted Grail and look forward to that, but I'll have to skip Oathsworn again because I have backed to much already. The end of the year is hard because you spend all your money the first 6 months haha.
@@Quackalope yeah, I have only been building my collection for the last 2 years and I have spent more than I probably should have to get variety. I have been pretty moderate on what I have backed, but I am going to have to hold off now as I'll have a lot to go through once everything arrives. The next couple of years are going to have a shift to more retail purchases as there are a lot of older and smaller games I want, but haven't bought. The one exception is likely going to be CTG's Elder Scrolls game!

Ive said it before and I'll say it again....I highly prefer these videos where you take your time, script some, and especially dedicate time to cool transitions and editing vs more content for content sake
Wow - didn't expect Scythe! I literally talked to someone recently how this game has such a beautiful theme that got completely lost when I played the game.. didn't feel the theme/immersion as I played. I'll have to look into the campaign... Lol.. "My number 3 game... Let's move on to number 7 .... My number 6 game..." so much editing ;) great transitions though. One that you'll have on this list when you finally get around to running it - will be Middara. We're 100+ hours in and it's been fantastic. Speaking of Kingdom Death.... where be the vids ;)
I'm big into deck builders and especially Aeon's End, so my favorite legacy game was Aeon's End: Legacy of Gravehold. Legacy and campaign I guess is a little different, but it's ballpark similar. My favorite "campaign" game is hopefully going to be The Isofarian Guard when it delivers around January/February.
Many worlds tavern coffee (as a coffee nerd and elitist) and company (as a nerd and DND elitest) is amazing! Glad you were able to get their support......though I feel like that solidifies your need to start actually covering RPGs since that's their main jam.

I love it. Ultimate Badasses expansion is pretty necessary though. Get Away From Her You B**** is good but doesn't add "classes" like UB so it isn't AS necessary, just adds cool crap. Like the queen. And what is your opinion on LotR: Journeys in Middle Earth? Devon and Alex apparently hate it enough to want it to be removed from the top 100 on BGG lol.
How far are you in Oathsworn? Im at story 9 and its my favourite campaign so far. Stories are great i would never do fast set up. Sleeping Gods is on 2nd place on my list, Tainted Grail FoA is 3rd. You think Aeons tresspass would overtake KDM?
We are not quite chapter 9 yet - Shira had to do some traveling so we will catch back up once she gets back! We had a moment during the storybook that took us out of the experience - so we do the fast setup now since we love the boss battles more than anything! I don't think ATO will take it down.

I bought KDM last December and think it highly overrated. I’m not bashing it , i really really wanted to love it like most seem to but it’s just not as fun as I thought it was going to be. I enjoy games being difficult but not to this level. I’m not into starting a new character after every few fights cause they died or got a serious wound that hinders them so much. It takes so long to level characters that starting a new one so often is exhausting to me. The system though is the best Iv played. Very unique .

I agree with 2 of these but I strongly disagree with what you classify as campaign games. Games with small campaign add ons don’t count. Games that are long to play but can be done in 1 session (sleeping gods) don’t count. The only ones I agree with are oathsworn and sleeping gods. Tainted grail was good but not top 10 for me. My top 10 1) midarra 2) oathsworn 3) etherfields 4) dungeon universalis 5) shadows of brimstone 6) stars of akarios 7) gloomhaven 8) bardsung 9) chronicals of Drunagor 10) arena the contest. I am expecting vampire the masquerade chapters to take one of the top 3 spots when I get it.
Oh no! It finally happened! I actually disagreed with you. Of course it's your choice not having Gloomhaven on your list as it's all opinion, but I would dearly love to know your reasons why. I mean, while the story is nowhere as strong as the likes of TG, it's certainly stronger and has superior and vastly more popular mechanics than Scythe. I mean, it's been number for nigh on 5 years for (many) a reason.

Of course it's your choice not having Gloomhaven on your list as it's all opinion, but I would dearly love to know your reasons why. I mean, while the story is nowhere as strong as the likes of TG, it's certainly stronger and has superior and vastly more popular mechanics than Scythe. I mean, it's been number for nigh on 5 years for (many) a reason.
