- This place is really heaven, especially the backwater ride. Tourism is quite cheap as well. But it was too hot to bear while exposed to the sun on the boat in the month of December.

Having traveled widely, personally feel the beach facilities are filthy and shabby.
They close down by 6 PM.
Coastal Karnataka is far behind in beach tourism.
Honnavar has good tourism potential.

It does include kerala point and lotus point, but not echo beach and magrove boardwalk.
Cost of boat ride,and auto fare honawar bus stand to Back water jetty.
Cost of boat ride for 7 of us was 1400₹ , so 200₹ per person for 1 and half hour. And the auto cost was 200₹ for the entire day, we went to 4 places, backwaters, mangrove boardwalk, hanging bridge and apsarakonda falls. So overall its very much affordable
