I was waiting for this review since last december ... great job as usual, and awesome product. Now I'll keep on wait on an extender review of the Holo Red if it's also in your schedule. Thumb up, great review.
So I pulled the trigger on the Bliss KTE about 4 weeks ago and just received it 2 days ago. I let the unit warm up for a couple of hours before plugging in my ZMF Caldera and my initial reaction was a huge smile on face! Coming from the Burson Soloist 3X GT AMP, immediately it sounded as if I plugged my headphone into a tube AMP in that it feels so much more open with a hint of warmth to it.
Not to mention the imaging, placement of instruments and details feel so much more refined and the control it has on all parts of the frequency range..👌.
The holography is also spectacular in this AMP with sounds coming at me from all directions.. it literally feels as if I purchased a new and better headphone but no, it brought out performance in the Caldera that I did not realize it had!
So far its been an absolute treat listening to all my favorite tracks again. Hans Zimmer Live in Prague 2017 is an absolute marvel. This is definitely a major step up from the Burson AMP which up to now was my favorite.
Paired with my Gustard R26 DAC, this is an absolute joy! I hate to use the term endgame but I honestly think I am done with gear... not to mention I still have the Woo Audio WA22 AMP which I intend to pre-amp the Bliss to see what can happen... I used it as a pre for my Burson AMP which was awesome.

As always, great review, packed with information. Something to note with stacking the Bliss - in the manufacturer's manual they say you can stack it on top of the May if you use the May's power supply between it and the DAC unit. Otherwise, they recommend 2 inches between it and any other device.

I am looking for a Class A amplifier to provide my Pathos Hybrid Integrated
Amplifier a bit more oomph. I will use this new amplifier primarily to power my stereo mini-tower
front speakers.
I believe that I have narrowed my choices between The Bliss and the Musical Fidelity A1 Class A Integrated Amplifier.
One strong runner-up

I am looking for an amp that will soundstage boldly in all 3 dimensions...
especially in height,
that is very quiet...has a low noise floor, is richly detailed and is either neutral in its presentation or
on the warm side of neutral.
I would be grateful for any informed opinions about which of these 3 amplifiers would be best.

Great product. Clear and detailed overview. I respect this brand and used their products for a while. I think that in this price category it is a strong player. I highly recommend that you take the upgraded amplifier from Trafomatic audio - Head 2 for listening. I am sure that your mind will experience a pleasant surprise. This amplifier was able to combine all the best from solid state and tube devices. I have owned and listened to many other headphone amps, but this one fascinated me - the best I've ever heard.

One of your best reviews, great from start to finish. I'd probably only consider this amp if I decided to upgrade my HEKse to the Susvara... which might happen one day. I'm wondering how close my Burson Soloist 3XP with Supercharger in power-amp mode (class A, no volume control) is to the Oor and the Bliss.
I just went through this upgrade path. Upgraded from Arya to Susvara while I hang on to my 3XP for a while to save up for an Amp that can drive the Susvara. The 3XP with Supercharger can drive the Susvara acceptably well but certainly not to it's fullest potentional. I now upgraded to the Ferrum stack and it's a noticeable upgrade...I'd say maybe 20% but certainly not doubled the performance.

@@radissimo1 At first I was really leaning along that line as I liked the Soloist 3XP a lot and would be a natural step up. However, I decided I wanted to try something different as I experienced what Burson can bring to the table. I wasn't looking for more of the same at this point in time. I may go back to the Burson (definitely a GT) if I find that I miss it but at this point....I am not missing it much
Myself got the Ferrum Oor + Hypsos using it with HD800S (ZMF Verite Closed, Audeze LCD-XC-2021, HD650) wondering if I can squeeze out more of these headphones by going from Ferrum Oor to Holo Bliss (top level).
@@dennisvun8863 How are you enjoying the Susvaras? For you the jump will be even bigger as I remember how much technically more proficient the HEKse were coming from the Arya. But I'm not sure if the Susvaras are worth the cost when compared to the HEKse, hence I've not pulled the trigger yet.
What is a good headphone amp for around or under $500? Is the Ifi zen can good or does the poor crosstalk ruin it? I want something that measures well and sounds good. Is that feasible in that price range?

I’m looking at getting this to complement my tt2 & mscaler. Would love any recommendations as to either the susvara, 1266 or caldera (I currently only have the meze elite).
I have to say that the internals look incredible in this amplifier. They obviously did a ton of R&D . The price tag may be justified. The design looks air tight and something that may last for absolute years. ❤
Could you compare the Flux Volot? That's another amp that will easily power difficult planars.

This message is for golden sound. At anytime while listening to the the holoaudio may dac you felt the warmth of tubes?

Wow... the ferrum stack is that close to the Holo Bliss KTE? That's disappointing... I was really considering the Bliss KTE until this review, but I'm grateful that I don't need to buy the bliss now.
I was seriously considering the Holo Bliss KTE... but went with the newest Burson Soloist 3XGT for about a grand less
I own the Holo Audio May KTE and Serene KTE. I've never understood why they don't come out with a power amp considering they make a preamp!

hi, there is a miss conception about the Tube amps regarding the holographic attribute and the second order Harmonics, and also about tubes and tubes on detail retrieval, particularly the misconception is thinking that all the tubes and topologies are the same , for example tubes like the c3g d3a , 801a and others as drivers are absolute stunning on performance , quietness, detail retrieval and holographic presentation, there is also a misconception about topology , Negative feedback , and power filtering. Most of the Comercial amps do no t take account all the fronts and o all the duties on what's needed to do a killer Headphone Amp using interstage dht on three or 2 stages without any feedback.... I would be more than willing to speak with you and any other anytime you want about this...

your hearing is not the problem, his is, because he is making up differences that nor exist.
What amps have you heard where you expected a difference? I'm with you in general, headphone amps sound pretty dang similar to me, even with high end headphones. Only amp difference I've really been able to hear is my Burson Soloist 3XP sounds just marginally better than my old Topping A90, Burson sounds slightly more spacious and smooth. DACs on the other hand I've heard much bigger differences with, my Denafrips Pontus II sounds a lot more groovy/dynamic (without being jumpy), open in terms of staging, and less harsh than my old Topping D90.
@@carsdankandchicks Neither competent amps nor DACs sound different, only if they have high distortion (like R2R DACs, or amps without feedback), are broken, or have output impedances that do not match the load.

Yeah I keep telling people size matters.
Anyone who buys such an amp to use it primarily with IEMs is beyond help. A cell phone and a $10 dongle do the job equally well.

Man it is a pain to watch this, full of audiophool misinformation or even straight lies. DACs and amps don´t have soundstage, speakers do. The Topping A90 does not sound sterile, but transparent, there cannot be anz difference in sound to the Bliss, if the frequency response is linear adn noise and distortion are sufficiently low (which is all give).
Hypsos+Oor or Bliss, with Susvaras?
