It's interesting to see in depth what kind of tools there are in my software, because I use Bitwig only because how it's laid out visually and practically in a way you can keep all the effects and routings in a same device panel. To me almost all of the EDM things are there just for nice to have if you need them in some rare case. I would maybe use the dribble with some retro drum machine tom or other percussive sound and zip it with the downbeat.
Yep I am actually in the same boat... I use Bitwig just for the layout and ease of use for production but it's cool to just be a nerd sometimes and dig deep into everything.
I think that Dribble is an interesting idea, but it feels half-baked. For a "zipper" type of effect, I think you're better off rigging something up in Grid, by modulating a trigger or lfo speed with an envelope. I think Ricochet is too similar to Dribble and is more useful for getting an organic chaotic modulation.
