Even with Misfits, MVP and everything that's come since, this was the peak of UA-cam boxing. The fight wasn't great but man everything else was. To go from, like True Geordie says, wearing headguards and commentating through walkie talkies, to a sold out Staples Centre with S-X, Rick Ross & Lil Baby performing JJ's walkout song (and also from memory Justin Bieber was in attendance) was just, yeah this was a special moment man and I imagine everyone involved from the start was just pinching themselves. What a time to be alive. Say what you want about JJ but he's definitely carried that on, from Headie One performing at 001 to Bugzy Malone in his latest fight. But yeah, this moment will always go down in history because this is where the YT (before it was even known as Influencer boxing) scene really started to grow. Hard to believe it'll be 4 years ago this year.. that was the other thing too that often gets forgotten, the worst of COVID came only a few months after this and it really fucked a lot of shit up, including JJ's first album release which Down Like That (the walkout song) was the first single of. That's why JJ took a lot of time off to make his second album a success, and really probably what in a way inadvertedly led to the creation of Misfits. But it also delayed fights, including Jake vs KSI and is probably a big part of the reason why that fight is so hard to make now. Then again, had that fight happened then we might not have got to see Misfits.

The end result of the 2 point deduction was correct, just poorly implemented and I'm glad Sensei addressed it.
In reality it wasn't -2 points, it was -1 as the knockout shouldn't have counted.
Ive said that a million times since the night of the fight and been told every time I'm wrong and a casual etc lmao the whole time knowing I'm a long time boxing watcher and scorer and know theyre casual

@@TojnamComplex that's what theyre saying. The first knockdown should have counted but didnt. So the 2 point deduction subtracting 2 helped even that out. -1 for the illegal shot plus am extra -1 to replace the 1 that ksi should have earned lol
Then either way Logan is a hoe for complaining. The -2 didnt stop him from winning all it did was make the score what it should have already been anyway and he loses the fair scoring period

Also, with Jake I can kinda get both sides. Yes he should fight boxers, because seeing him KO people who don't even remotely know what they're doing (yet people are somehow still convinced they have a chance, remember when he fought Ben Askren lol) is hella cringe. But, he's doing it for promotion and name value, of which he's gained a fucktonne of since this fight happened not even gonna lie. I also kinda think he's doing it to piss Dana White off lol.
With Jake & KSI though, the thing that pisses me off is that when KSI called Jake out, he said no. Yet Jake waited until COVID & JJ's time off to say let's run it. Jake's argument has always been that he fought in front of no one, so there's no excuse. But the Jake/KSI fight will still be huge, maybe not in the mainstream scene but certainly in the influencer scene, so I can agree with JJ's argument that it should be in front of as many people as possible. But now that it finally can be, of course Jake is throwing up roadblocks and, it seems, colluding with Tommy Fury to stitch JJ up. He wants to make fun of Tommy for pulling out, yet has no problem doing it to fuck with his arch nemesis. If you believe what you read Jake also intervened in KSI vs Wassabi, and mark my words it would have happened with the Woodley fight too. He's a hypocrite.

Completely agreed, I think JJ did a lot better than people realise - he was wild and the fight wasn't pretty but he was fighting to kill and that not only won him rounds but it meant that Logan was always a step behind in the judges' eyes.

That build up got insanely personal, I actually forgot how deep Conor went until I saw his docuseries. No wonder Khabib took his time beating Conor and did what he did after, and I'm a Conor fan but looking back it's hard to not say that was when the decline started for Conor. His attitude changed after MayMac and it's showed ever since, the one time he even started to look legitimately hungry again was the Cowboy fight.

I have had it 56 - 56, but with the minus 2 it's a 56 - 54 W for KSI.
I can understand the points deduction, I can agree to it being fair, but it still leaves a bad taste as KSI isn't the cleanest of fighters either. I mean back of the head is pretty much his signature move and his push through punches which sees his forearm and elbow pretty much connect or scrape a lot too.
I scored KSI a knockdown, but even that was pretty much back of the head stuff.
That last little punch of Logan though when KSI was down... that might have actually sealed the point deduction, if he hadn't done that last one it might have ended in to what I believe this fight should have ended as.
A draw.
Had that happened JJ's first fight back would have been the trilogy and it likely would have been on Misfits, as remember the worst of COVID came only a few months after this which, along with JJ taking time off to make his 2nd album a success, would have mean't there would have been a delay.
It also would have likely mean't that we wouldn't have seen Prime, or not for a long while anyway, which as we know has been a huge cash cow for both.
So honestly, some things just work out for the best.
Though it is a shame that COVID fucked up not only JJ's first album release (which is why he had to make his second one a success), but also KSI vs Jake. Because remember there was a lot of talk of it happening at around that time, and honestly it probably would have been the best time to get it done, before Jake started fighting the MMA fighters.
Then again, had they fought then it's probable we would never have seen Misfits, as that would have been JJ's last fight.

I feel like the most generous decision you could've given to Logan was to score the fight as a draw. JJ edged 1, Logan edged 2, JJ's knockdown was clear as day (on the replay) and should've been counted in 3, both got a draw round in 4 given the circumstances, Logan won 5, and arguably the two drew in 6. I think yall gave the most accurate scores you could've given the two fighters. Ultimately, JJ should've won at least a majority decision over Logan depending on who one thinks won the 6th round (55-55 draw, 56-55 JJ, or 56-54 JJ).

whoever is editing the vids for the breakdown needs to step up their game, multiple times now have i seen in vids of the editor focusing on facecam when the boys are pointing out something in the fight/screen. Wade says listen to the audio and there is no audio... no hate to whoever is editing the vids but i dont watch every breakdown vid but whenever i do there is some annoying editing misstake.

If you look at it skill wise then yes it's a little overrated but this fight set everything up for the future. It set Jake on his path now and let's be honest the only reason Misfits was created was to have Ksi fight Jake
