All 8 episodes are engrossing and incredibly well-acted and beautifully directed and written that at some point you realize wow this is art right here. Jeremy gives an astounding performance full of grit and pathos and passion and sadness and heart. Watch it ASAP.

If you've worked in a restaurant, especially as a line cook in a small place like that, this show gives you Anxiety. I haven't worked in a kitchen in a few years, but my work nightmares started coming back after watching this show. Still, totally worth it. Great show, and incredibly accurate to both the restaurant industry AND Chicago.

I've been a line cook/chef for around 8 years now and this show is so spot on it's scary. It captures the feeling of the lunch rush so perfectly that I had to pause it in certain spots because I had to remind myself I wasn't at work. Also it's cool to see Matty Matheson playing a character on the show.
There's a part in the show where Jeremy is checking the temp of chicken. The skewer his uses has to be held to his face. As a chef the nerve endings fingers don't pick up heat anymore. So you have to find some other part of your body to check the temperature. A nod too all them chefs that sacifice a part of themself and i just loved that detail in the show.
It has only been done twice before. The first time was a film called Waiting, and the second time was the movie Chef. This is the first TV show (that I can think of). I will say Party Down is pretty damn accurate for catering from a service perspective tho.
Check out a movie called “Boiling Point” from last year starring Stephen Graham. Takes place in a restaurant, all one shot, it’s practically the movie version of this show, I loved it.
Jeremy Allen White deserves so much recognition after his breakout role in The Bear. I’ve been a big fan of his role as Lip Gallagher in Shameless. He’s in the top 10 actors of 2022.
From all of my experience in the restaurant industry the thing that the bear really nails is the full spectrum of social dynamics that you experience in these environments. It captures that perfect balance of passion, warmth, pressure, hostility, aggression, cruel humor, love etc.
I'm a Line cook and I had to show this show to every friend in the industry and everyone agreed on how accurate and relatable it is. Episode 7 has my anxiety all the way up. Shoutout to every BoH watching this show!!!
This show is completely underrated and whizzed by me unnoticed. Impact-wise, its by no means at the level of Succession, House of the Dragon or Last of Us, but its wonderfully written, shot and crafted. Jeremy Allen White and the cast was incredible and the cinematography is so immersive I gasped for air after each episode.
A lot of people praise the accuracy with which the restaurant environment was portrayed but I have no experience there so I want to praise the dialogue. It felt alive and real and electric, and each character clearly had their own voice. I think it also portrayed how different people deal with grief in their own ways in a lovely, matter-of-fact way without making it too melodramatic. Every aspect of the show seems really well thought out and that one episode that's almost completely dine in a single take is one of the most exciting things to happen on a show in a while for me.
Honestly love this show and I’m so ready for season 2, and yes this does remind me of when I was working at a restaurant , for sure gave me a little anxiety 😅 but I’m so happy that this is being represented, and I know that it’s a long shot but I really hope that people have more respect for the people in the food industry because they work HARD!
I started it. Very good show! And he is amazing! And the show really does capture the Cook life/Kitchen environment VERY well! They are ALL that intense and chaotic.
I read a comment on UA-cam that some guy who had worked in the restaurant industry, couldn't watch more than one episode because it gave them so much anxiety... Because it's so realistic .. it's an amazing show by the way
I’ve watched this show twice. It’s not like any show. Something about it is just so appealing and different. I really love it. The cast in itself is just A+.
Lol, I had the same reaction as Seth's friend. Having spent a few years as a line cook, I watched the first episode and was like "idk if I can keep watching this". Too real! But, I did watch all of it, and recommend it 1000%. One of the best shows in a very long time.
Definitely a great show and great perspective on how things are behind the scenes. I’ve worked in a kitchen as a cook and this show is a great representation.

@@DaveLam ty so much for this recommendation. I've been waiting for a new cooking movie and this one seems perfect after watching The Bear.
Give the movie Burnt a shot too. Bradley Cooper disappears into his role
This show is truly beautiful, it gives me crazy flashbacks, but oh man is it therapeutic.
He could absolutely play young Marco pierre white
What a wholesome and down to earth guy...
I love how he mentioned Marco Pierre White because that's who he reminded me off with his look
I will always watch anything Jeremy is in
I LOVE this show. Had never seen the actor before but he is amazing. The whole cast is great. I think he should star in a Barry Manilow biopic!
If you loved him in this you should watch Shameless. One of the best series you will ever see! He grows up on that show and his character is awesome
He reminds me of Gene Wilder, but now that I see your comment, I could see him playing either of them.
He’s not getting enough recognition for this. He’s incredible and this show is incredible.
The Bear was soo good. Anxiety inducing…but in a good way. Glad to see Mr. White’s talent is not being wasted. Look forward to season 2!!!!
I love JAW he was incredible in Shameless, definitely underrated and Im so glad he's getting recognition for this amazing show
Jaw? 🤦♀️ His character was named Lip! Not Jaw!
@@letthedogsout1 his name is Jeremy Allen White = JAW i wasn’t talking about Lip at all but the actor
This show is phenomenal!!! If you've ever worked in a restaurant you know that this show nailed it.
I'm a Line cook and I had to show this show to every friend in the industry and everyone agreed on how accurate and relatable it is. Episode 7 has my anxiety all the way up. Shoutout to every BoH watching this show!!!
Love the Bear! Great show! I need another season.
Jeremy is a brilliant and ridiculously gorgeous actor and am so happy for his success and may he continue to share his talent with the world
Signing up for Hulu cause of this. Been wanting a show like this forever. Working class shows, not those bulls#$% house wives shows.
You’ll like it. Hits the nail on the head for those of us in boh
arguably housewife shows are working class in that the audience for them is made up of working class women
I've worked in kitchens and yeah this show really hits the culture
This show is completely underrated and whizzed by me unnoticed. Impact-wise, its by no means at the level of Succession, House of the Dragon or Last of Us, but its wonderfully written, shot and crafted. Jeremy Allen White and the cast was incredible and the cinematography is so immersive I gasped for air after each episode.
He does carry a conversation with humility
God I love Jeremy. He’s an amazing dramatic actor and I’m enjoying The Bear.
Can't wait for The Bear to open!
8:00 "I agree..I wanted.. I saw.... I read this book..." lmfao love this guy
The Bear is GREAT! I almost binge watched it, can’t wait for the next series! It’s brilliant! I’m going to watch Shameless now, he’s a great actor.
He was so good in The Bear. As a former restaurant worker, I think the whole cast nailed it!
Great show and he's perfect for the role.
I love Jeremy Allen White he’s a really great actor & person as well 💜
Such an amazing show very accurate with how things go in a kitchen environment and outstanding acting from the whole cast.
Jeremy, if you so happen to read this, you absolutely connected with the back of the house in a way that is real. Love a career chef
Love this guy. What a talented actor.
As a retired from the profession chef I have to say that The Bear was great. It made me laugh, remember and stress out all over again from my years back of the house. I love this show, please bring us more!
