George Clinton and Prince Public Enemy bonus Nuff Said. I am 2nd Generation Pfunk put my Dad on to this when it first came out and he about lost it. Rest In Glory Pops
I just picked up this promo 12" with the edit version on both sides for half off at the goodwill and I had to grab it cuz its stamped with the Paisley Park label....
I bought this album on cd soon after it came out- love it, especially this track, but can't help thinking that the bass is a bit low in the mix throughout- play it loud and it just doesn't have the pressure that it ought to- shame, because it's a great album, musically speaking :)
Hey, when did this come out? I partially heard this many years ago, but only the Flavor Flav part, and nobody seemed to know anything about it whenever I'd ask, or at least they wouldn't tell me. And only now I come to find this video (uploaded 2016). I guess since the pandemic killed my music career and now I don't have a life, I suddenly have tons of time to back-search stuff like this. There goes the rest of my life, but thank you for uploading this.
Just amazing. 1989, "the number" … I must've heard this (like) early-mid 90s, and I asked radio people, record store staff and collectors, and NOBODY could tell me anything about this. What a powerhouse collab!
remember buying the album in the summer of 89 and playing it constantly. still in love with it - this track especially. This and Airbound
