Thank you so much!! I am a white foster mom trying to do right by my black kiddos. I am learning all sorts of braiding styles for the kids, all I could do at first, after watching a million UA-cam tutorials and lots of hours of practice was jumbo box braids😂 Now I can do so many and even have helped do the kids’ braids for other foster parents, plus a few friends have trusted me to do their own hair. I know my braids are not perfect yet but I am gonna keep practicing and doing them for my foster kids! Cause to they ain’t foster kids to me, they are MY kids. Don’t matter if they are with me one night or many years. I want to build relationships that last a life time and braiding their hair is the perfect way to bond with them while boosting their self esteem and confidence. A lot of these kids coming into foster care have never had their hair properly cared for let alone ever had braids. I have become obsessed with learning about how to care for textured hair, especially for my black kiddos, and how to do protection styles and condition condition condition. I refused to be the kind of white foster parents that just let the kids’ hair look like a mess. I will do right by them!! These videos have helped me so much!! I can’t wait to get some products from this line!! My kiddos’ hair is gonna be looking so good! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ and yes I also take them to salons so they can stay connected to the cultural relationships formed in black owned the hair salons and do my best to nurture that culture in my home. I have had a lot of different race and ethnicity with my kids and we celebrate all of their parts of culture that are important to them or their parents! But seriously I cannot thank the content creators that put these videos out there. It helps me be the best I can be for the kids in my home!!🥰
