'Disconnected' Do you mean the light source has changed from being directly above the buildings to somewhere else?? Why is that a bad thing? Looks more interesting and increases depth to me.
About the scale. The thing I’ve found works, is after I set the scale in the beginning, I adjust each building by 25 as necessary. If I’m trying to line up the line work after I’ve made an adjustment to the height of length, I go either up or down a few numbers.
I have a question. Do you guys plan on making a mobile compatible version of Inkarnate? And if so do you guys have any idea when we could get it? Sorry if I’m being a bother.

Yes you can do this. Just upload the reference image as a custom stamp, scale and trace over it.

That makes total sense to me. It's good to have a range instead one fixed scale size.
