I'd love to hear what the young people of Istanbul have to say about the city being on 2 continents geographically and culturally. Are they secular or religious? What are their thoughts on religion being split from the state. Also, I'd love to hear about the music they like. I'm a big fan of Sebnem Ferah myself.
University, man... Atheists and women with headscarf could be best friends, people who have religious family could be non-religious or vice versa, everyone (even if they are completely different by the world view) could easily talk with each others etc. There are every kind of people. You can not see that from a video.
As an 18 year old Muslim Turkish I would say majority of young Turkish people don't really care about other peoples religion, I myself don't even ask about their religion or get curious if they don't mention it theirselves. I think religion being split from state is one of the best things to happen to Turks since people like our current "Erdogan" kind of politicians love to use religion for politics. They are mostly blocked by secularity thanks to our great leader Ataturk and his works. Young Turks are really sarcastic about state and political issues these days since we can't do anything about it other than praying and ignoring :D But yeah, most of the times I don't even see if girls have hijab or not I think it's what makes Turkish culture beautiful. And I have so many friends that don't have a belief in religion or believe in something other than Islam. I love every one of them equally. I think religion is a personal thing and it should just affect the person and their behaviour not their view of public.
It's not like what you think, neither european side completely secular nor asian side is completely religious you can just check on the maps and google 'fatih' and 'kadıköy'. besides no young ppl gives a shit about being religious or not

And educative video again. Thank you Emin! Can you make a video about foreigners who live in Turkey? Keep doing what you’re doing 💕
Great job ! Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the production of this video...A humble suggestion ; next time, try to find foreigners living in Istanbul and interview them in Turkish, I think that would provide extra motivation and inspiration for Turkish learners...
Would be better for beginners if you kept to one theme or one question. The second half do the video is not about student life. Easy Turkish needs more of the “easy” in my opinion
So nice video! but could you help me please? I want to find out, what is omitted script is, 00:15 ~ 00:18. it just be written "İstanbul'da öğrenci hayatı hakkında..." I did my best to find out what removed script is. anyway, So thanks for sharing this video. Istanbul so nice city!! I am foreigner who is learning by this video. and I am jealous of you all guys kkk salute from Korea.
It usually snows a lot all winter long. The more you go east you will see more snow, we have ski resorts and everything. But in south coast it doesn't snow at all (antalya, Alanya etc.). Southern warm weather doesn't reach to rest of Turkey because of high mountains.
Rubus den röde It’s very common, especially in Istanbul🥶 But the coastal areas like Aegean coastline and the Mediterranean are warm as always, we have beautiful beaches over there😎
Actually we finished recording videos in 5 days (yes, it means it was snowy and sunny in such a short period of time). The weather in Istanbul can be unpredictable especially in winter, but mostly it's not too cold :)
But you defined the Scandinavian languages! In fact, I heard that 'Turkish sounds Norwegian/Danish' in many times by the people of Scandinavia. So, I think you are right.
I don't know why, but it seems to me that everyone in Turkey speaks too fast, making it hard to even read the captions in English. Easy Turkish... maybe not easy for me, at least for the next 5 years of hard learning ;)

I have a question to turks. How common is snowfall in Turkey?
Rubus den röde It depends on the province
It usually snows a lot all winter long. The more you go east you will see more snow, we have ski resorts and everything. But in south coast it doesn't snow at all (antalya, Alanya etc.). Southern warm weather doesn't reach to rest of Turkey because of high mountains.
Rubus den röde It’s very common, especially in Istanbul🥶 But the coastal areas like Aegean coastline and the Mediterranean are warm as always, we have beautiful beaches over there😎
Actually due to warming, last year was not that much snow in Istanbul. Previous years were more snowy
here is snow in every city in every winter, here is snow during winter. here is 4 seasons. here are too much forests, here is rain in spring and fall.
The weather in Istanbul is bad probably, because season is constantly changing in the video.🌨
Actually we finished recording videos in 5 days (yes, it means it was snowy and sunny in such a short period of time). The weather in Istanbul can be unpredictable especially in winter, but mostly it's not too cold :)

@Lucifer, Other than I... It's similar. I know it might not be exact, but I meant it as a compliment. I didn't mean to start a fight.
But you defined the Scandinavian languages! In fact, I heard that 'Turkish sounds Norwegian/Danish' in many times by the people of Scandinavia. So, I think you are right.
