  • The violence in Manipur has claimed over a hundred lives, and displaced more than 70,000 people, who have now taken refuge in relief camps. Team NTT spent two days visiting several relief camps set up across Manipur. The people, who have taken shelter in these relief camps, continue to live their lives, grappling with the scathing memories of arson, bloodshed, murder and the loss of loved ones. All of them share a common story of displacement and separation. While the people of Manipur are divided between two communities, they now stand united by the stories of loss and human suffering. Sufferers are many, but this story is one that weaves together people who share the same pain of the same violence, even though the state is in crossroads divided between communities. Many of them miss their neighbors cutting across communities, long to reunite with them and relive their old lives.
