- I started shooting footage for this video well over a year ago, and this is something I’ve been trying to get off the ground since 2013, so I’m beyond excited to FINALLY announce this! A huge thank you to everyone who has helped out along the way, you all know who you are and I appreciate you greatly! There is still so much work to be done, but I’m excited to bring my filmmaking community up to speed and get input from you all so we can make this the best thing that ever did live.

My dream for Evil Empire Studios is for it to become a vibrant hub for all things Film & Content Creation in Hamilton, but in order for us to make that dream a reality we need vibrant filmmakers to join our community! I’m 73 and I find this so inspiring. I worked in a co-op of 5 jewelry makers and that really kept the creative juices flowing. Good job

HOLY CRAP. For the longest time I was wondering when something like this would happen in Hamilton. I was always thinking if I didn't leave in Hamilton I would make a production company in Hamilton becasue of the empty building. Well I'll be dammed you guys beat me to it. I just Finished at MAC and love to take advantage of the space.(oh god please hire me).

Congratulation - I was so excited back on February, when you contacted me with the plans. This is one of the coolest developments for this building in decades. The history of the Cataract Power building dates back to August 25, 1898 when the power was turned on it. This building was the terminal if the second longest power transmission in the world. Congrats Christoph. Can't wait to see the final product. Also looking forward to working with you to bring out the History and the Nikola Tesla connection.

Hopefully I'll be able to come over for my 50th in 2023 and experience such an awe-inspiring space.
Having being in the building game for too many years the project looks like it going to take a few years or maybe you will complete a section to generate the income to go on the next section. From experience of conventing many buildings the journey will eventful with plenty of late night decisions of what to leave out and what is not, along with what colours to have tiles in the bathrooms (maybe you could raise some funds by allowing people to buy a named tile or an engraved brick for a wall so people from around the world can take part)
Anyway I could go on for longer, good luck and don't forget have plenty of coffee.
Definitely strapping in for the long haul, and yes, there will be lots of coffee, haha!
