Well, there you are Simon! Good to see you. I hope all is well with you and your family. Thank you for being such a great teacher and sharing your enthusiasm and encouragement with us.
Yes back from the ‘dark winter’ haha, house repairs and taking a break !
@@sleachpots Well, I certainly understand how that goes. Great to see you. I hope we will see much more of you now.🌷🙂🌷🌷
Yes thanks!
Very nice to see you again.
Glad you are back at the wheel…looking forward to your video lessons/demonstrations. 👍👍💁🏻♀️🌻🌻
Yay indeed, here we go !
Welcome back Simon! I was wondering what was missing in life this winter, till I saw this video today, and realised it was your reassuring teachings, voice and persistence to keep practising! You may not have any idea what gems of wisdom you impart doing simple repetitive things like throwing a tankard! I have watched so many videos of the same tankard being thrown over the years, and somehow i keep learning something new! Thanks once again for inspiring always! warm regards from India 🙂
Hi Adi …yes took a short break to recharge batteries ! and do some work on the house. Thanks for your encouraging words. Simon
Welcome back Simon. I recently went back to pottery. Yeah!
Breaks keep you going. Welcome back
Thank You
Welcome !
Please keep doing these Simon, I am a beginner potter, who is really enjoying making mugs and bowls, largely inspired by you. I have taken my level from zero to not bad by watching your videos, especially with tips you give, like keeping the clay lubricated I can now do an even pull, quite consistently. All the best and thanks from the good old UK.
Keep practicing 12oz, 5” cylinders and learn to make to a stick gauge.
Simon! So glad to see you again!!!
Gracias aqui estoy !
@@sleachpots muy feliz por tu vuelta!
So good to see you, Simon! I’ve take a a break myself from pottery since before Christmas and am getting back to it. Your video gives me more motivation!
Yes we need it don’t we these days ! Winters can be a drain on our motivation, but spring is almost upon us !
Thanks for sharing this pottery workshop I did enjoyed your tutorial
Keep practicing …..12oz and 5” tall cylinders, 3” wide, key to getting better !
@@sleachpots thank you
Great to see you back we've missed you
Thank you always good to be missed :)
Good to see you Simon! Thanks for your teaching and sharing. Merci!
Good to see you Simon. That new camera angle works great, I like it. I said it before I'll say it again, consider doing a series with "Master Class." Best!
Glad to have you back Simon we missed you
Missed you all too, just had to pull back a touch, regather you know…had some house chores to do !
So glad to see you Simon.
Thanks here we again :)
Glad to see you again Simon.
Here we are on the tube again, let’s see what we can pull out of the bag ?
wonderful video Simon !! A gift for us .. (it was daughter Chelsea's birthday yesterday 3-3) and so .. extra special is this video!! I woke up to a Chelsea Morning ... one of my favorite artists .. (Joni Mitchell) .. and one of my favorite potters! Simon Leach ..
Thanks just another ‘off the cuff’ video, always something to learn eh !
I’m glad you’re back. I always look forward to your videos.
Thanks the sap is rising !
Great to see you again Simon 🤗
Thanks good to be here with you all. Teaching inspires the teacher as well !
Thank you for the video. So good to hear your voice and suggestions. About re-rounding the top of mug with a yoghurt container - I was surprised at how briefly you leave the container in mugs.
Hey Simon! Nice to hear you again. The Iron Dinosaur team.
Gilmore I presume ! Don you are the man ! We must meet up sometime :)
Welcome back, Simon!
A blast from the past !
Nice to see you again.
Thank you, the wheel is a medicine indeed !
During most Simon Leach interregna I'm left jonesing for the next fix. Not this time. Vermiculture has consumed me. That doesn't mean it's not great to have another installment!
BTW, the collar serves another function: The positive draft makes picking up the tankard by the top much more secure. I know this...I do it 10-20 times a day. :)
Indeed yes a practical view there !
Good to see you again 👏 shame you have such long hiatus in YouTubing
Well I have been 15 years on UA-cam now so I don’t feel guilty. Strange times we are in and this affects us all doesn’t it.
That's funny, I bought a new wheel but then decided to renovate my house too, I also have mallet finger so jot sure how it will go with the clay. I'm very keen to get back on the wheel. Great to see you Simon.
Get on the wheel ASAP ! Always good Medecine
Great to see you again. I've been worried about you
Good to be here, let’s get our hands dirty !
I've been checking every day to see if you've put another video up - so glad to see you're back in the pottery at last. If I'm making something new I usually try to make three and then pick the best - normally there are several failures along the way but I haven't quite got up to the 33 that you suggest making yet!
Yep back again, need some wheel sanity in my life haha
I’m not sure about your pottery, but you are adorable! ( kidding) ( I love your pottery)
I have a lot of faults believe me …..good to be here again :)
enough with the “actually” dude jesus
