Awesome knowledgeable info once again Andre! 2nd to none! Also perfect editing Ben. I like the longer 10 min videos rather then the short 3 min ones. Great job guys!
This interview was AWWWSOME! It's really helped me understand a S.Charger install i'm doing, was not sure what sensor to use MaF or MaP now I'll just get a after market calibrated MaF in a bigger tube for my injector upgrade. This channel really stretches my brain, don't understand a lot but that's where the growth is.
This video inspired me a lot back in years. Now I do the same to stock Honda ECUs. I do turbo on stock MAF Honda ECUs. I also do Speed Density Conversion on MAF ECUs. Honda ECUs are very lovable to work on despise not having lots of supports. That's what makes me love them a lot. Less but more, always more to learn.
That's awesome to hear man! James is very clear and concise, it's a shame we haven't bumped into him again as I'm sure just like us you could ask him questions for hours right haha Cheers for taking the time to comment this as well. We don't do these technical interviews expecting millions of views, they're done for people like yourself who are a bit more niche in the general automotive/motorsport scene and we're stoked you found this one an inspiration 😎 - Taz.
Where can I find a guide to tuning the J Series? I know they are timing sensitive, but my local tuner has melted 2 of my j builds & im struggling finding info to tune my track car.
Really enjoy these interviews. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend purchasing HPA tuning courses. They're worth every penny (or cent depending where you are in the world).
No idea, my tlx is almost fully built. Have turbo low compression pistons just waiting to be put in but not sure if the tranny can hold that added power. I’ll add a video of my dyno soon.
We can hope that when the Type S TLX comes out (with Turbo) that it will be based on the same J series engine, and thus purchase the Honda parts to add to our TLXs?
The actual TLX A-Spec shouldve been a V6 Turbo, with a better transmission tbh. Exterior is amazing looking. But the rest, including interior is dated.
@@yungjarq2173 😂😂 more like 3 seconds, if the factory type s with less horsepower can push 0-60 in 4.5 seconds this car can do it in at least 3-3.5 seconds easy
Acura calls themselves "Precision Performance", so, what I need to know is why the hell didn't my TLX come with a turbo like this from the factory? "Performance" my ass, it's just a good quality "near luxury" car that's fast and smooth, but nowhere near as viscerally engaging as a proper sports sedan SHOULD be. *cry*
Christopher smh if they truly cared about performance it would’ve started when they made the rsx, very potent car with the motor it had and same goes for their v6s. If they really wanted to have a huge following and be known for best performance, they gotta care more than just about handling. Hopefully new tlxs come turbo
@@Slavikhavoc Didn't you hear? They've already officially announced an Acura Specific Turbo V6 engine, and, I believe it will be available in a TLX "Type-S" available later this year! I won't be able to afford to turn in my current 2018 TLX to upgrade to the Type-S, but I sure wish I could! I'm just hoping that I'll be able to do so for a ~2 year old "CPO" Type-S TLX in a few years from now - that will be a happy day indeed. Assuming that I don't get lucky before then and somehow get the car I REALLY want, which is a BMW M2.

Thanks Brandon for the kind words and feedback mate! We'll have to give Colin a pat on the back for the editing though ;) - Taz
These videos are the real technical and nitty gritty that we look for. Thank you for putting these together!

This channel deserves more subscribers and views. Great in depth analysis of cars rather than the 1320 video "How big is the turbo?" Silly questions.
Thanks Luke! We do these videos for the love of it at this stage so are happy if even only 1 person enjoys the content and learns something new - Taz.
3:01 always nice to see random conquest pop up.

Hey man! I wanted to know have you turbocharged a tlx 2018 shawd?

Great technical information as always thanks
Cheers dude. Wonder what the oem tuning software is like.
would have been nice to see the car more.
Yes there isn't much footage of it even on the official channels. Luckily we did get the technical aspects though ;) - Taz.
Can you put this turbo in a 2015 TLX 3.5l
That a good question
Wow! Awesome interview, very cool car!
great job on the interview
Excellent as always. Maybe you can get a gig as an oem tuner next.

How much and where to get the turbo kit at? Shits 🔥

Great ☺️
What TRANSMISSION is this running

What's the 0-60?

He’s asking all these complex questions but didn’t Ask normal questions like is the motor built and how much boost is he running smh
it says tsx but it is clearly a TLX
Thanks for pointing that out Todd. Not sure how that typo happened! - Taz.
