If the virus instantly deletes the master boot record (MBR) then it's just an unfair fight for the antivirus as it can't do anything about that
Just dont turn off the antivirus
kaspersky come with the solution as always it shields the boot sector and make it uneditable

@@arkadipmondal5402 No, it actually fixes the boot sector after infection. Windows has an option to do it through command prompt but it isn't the best. Kaspersky can be using windows tool to fix or it can be using it's own tool. We don't know unless kaspersky becomes open-source.
Something that should be pretty obvious but apparently not... Yes the anti-virus/anti-malware removed the threat, but it cannot recover your boot disk if it was deleted by the virus/malware itself, thats a whole different task thats outside the scope of what an anti-virus can provide as a service worker agent. You have to restore that part yourself using recovery tools to restore lost data that has been wiped. For typical Windows users you probably wouldn't care about these things and how they work by understanding how the boot disk works and the operating system itself.

I think it also depends how long the anti-virus takes to remove the virus, because if it's too long the computer's system will already be deleted.

this isn't kinda fair because the antiviruses did remove the malware but the boot sector of your pc was already destroyed by the malware

The MBR (Master boot record) is the very first segment of your hard drive. It has the instructions for the initial jump into the operating system. From there, the initialization code for your computer begins to detect devices, etc.
The MBR is the most key (usually 512 bytes) of your computer's hard drive.
Good! You might become a computer expert one day! Most people don't know what is to be a computer expert. It is not to learn 5 programming languages and hacking. There is more out there in computer science.

If you somehow manage to be in that situation like he is but you actually accidentally installed malware if you're antivirus application is done with that virus it's basically telling you to back up your all your data into a new computer before you know it dies

@@dnyaneshwarikadam7207 Since the virus instantly deletes the MBR, the computer can no longer boot. It will stay on, but once it's off, it can longer turn on again due to the missing MBR. Antiviruses are incapable of restoring the MBR. So the antivirus is basically giving you a chance to save your important files elsewhere since your current computer is done for.

Avast isn't that of a sh**ty antivirus like McAfee or windows defender. But it's not a serious antivirus like Kaspersky or Bitdefender.

This is like a game of Sprint, where the finish line for the malware is to corrupt and remove your OS, and for the anti-virus, it is to find and eliminate said malware. You're basically giving the malware a headstart before the anti-virus, essentially giving the malware a free win, destroying your computer. Only after the finish line does the anti-virus eliminate the malware, but its already too late since the malware already finished the race before the anti-virus ever reached it.
avast works so well! love to see my favorite antivirus win against a well built malware. also great videos! make more if possible.

im pretty sure that all anti viruses delete the mbr on start, so the anti-viruses don't have a chance to remove it without interrupting the malucios procces in the first miliseconds of the run.

Can you try doing the Cyberghost AntiVirus? That's the one I use and I want to see how well it will do.
The main goal of the antivirus is to delete the virus and protect the PC from Threat like that. Once theboot segments is delete, the antivirus cant restore it, as it is not its purpose. You should use an another programm. With that logic, Windows defender perfomed pretty good

also 9:40 like obviously,malwarebytes won't return you the files that the virus has deleted off your pc.
Gdi malware usually overwrites boot sector before the gdi effects happen, also, windows defender would have shown found threats or something if it removed memoxide

The reason that you could no longer boot the computer is because the viruses removes the bootloader at the start off the process
