I live here in Michigan too and working on getting street legal just ordered my wd electrics, and e-break now working on rims and tires. This video and others are very helpful. See ya at the dunes brother
Thanks! My advice is make sure to tune in your shocks to your ride style. Write down what you have for your shock settings and really don’t be afraid to play around with the tune. You will find what you like and where your comfort level is. It really is a night and day difference. I run my shocks at two different settings for street vs. dunes. It only takes 5 minutes to change your settings when you know where it needs to be. I might be trying to get a plate for Michigan too pretty soon, see you around the dunes for sure.
Look up things to keep your unit clean. There’s a bunch of sprays that you can use to keep it clean after you wash it for a while and it’s not that expensive. It’s like a shine for plastics and stuff like that
Good stuff Sucks on the breakage We’ve had a lot of wind up here lately Was hoping to get down there for the final weekend but it’s been a hectic couple weeks
In my opinion it gave the car way more stability. I feel more confident in hard turns after I did the conversion. The only difference in the shocks is slightly more travel on the XRS shocks. Most of the geometry is still the same. So to answer your question, yes I think it is worth to do a conversion. Maybe not necessarily HCR, since there are less expensive options out there including a stock part swap to a 72, but HCR I think is one of the best.

Bike rider went down @ 16:58 mark of the video … 😮 hopefully not seriously hurt. Great video and lots of really good info. Thank you.
That light bar mount is clean
Can’t find the video where you check out for any damages on your diff were you able to ever check that out? Also for the install of the new driveshaft
Thank god I got the xrs from the get go. Cool project though man lot of different options to decide on.
Love the roof. Where can I get it?
Man you got to show us how you installed the back brackets my holes don’t line up for some reason
Can you show how u installed the shock brackets in the rear ?
Why weren’t you able to just take the front drive shaft off so you could drive it back?
Did you have to change brake lines also did you put bracket for shocks in the back
Brake lines no, shock brackets yes.
@@MohawkDaveOffRoaddid you gain ride height or loose height or you stayed about the same?
@@carranza979 gained, than I adjusted back down to my normal,
Thanks for the responses
Bruhhhh! How do you keep it so clean while your out still? What are you using to clean it?

We’ve had a lot of wind up here lately

Thanks, I was hoping to be there for the last weekend too but didn’t make it in time to get up and running again.
Do you need a extension for the shocks ?
Hey buddy can you run a shock tower brace with the brackets that are used for 64 to 72 ?
I don’t see why not.
What was the cost of the kit
What sound system you have in it
Can am front and rear driveshafts are a bit of a weak point.
Any new advice learned sense this video was made?
You need some parts off of a M1A2 Abrams.
Why did they snap? Because of the jumping?
I was extremely hard on the throttle while landing the jumps.
What bumper is that
So glad I kept my full size old dunebuggy, all this new shit is junk.
Can you Share the link for the HCR Link

Nice job 👍🏻 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you!
Hey bro, could you send me all the links so I can do mine like this, how much did it all cost you bro 🔥👌🏽
Question would you say it’s worth going from 64 to 72 with ur stock shocks or what you think did the ride quality drop

@@MohawkDaveOffRoadwhere do you recommend buying the stock parts swap for a 72?
Was it worth all the extra weight and the10% performance? Wisdom from shock therapy him self.......
To me it was definitely worth it. It has changed the entire dynamics of my car. I don’t think I would ever go back to anything less than 72”.
Word of advice since now you have longer suspension your shocks need to be stiffer, I would try three clicks stiffer
