Can Am Maverick X3 HCR 64" To 72" Conversion At The Dunes

- In this video I finally convert my 64" Maverick X3 to a 72". After adding an RPM Motorsports electronic dump valve exhaust and some other minor details to my X3, we took it out on the dunes to test out the new HCR suspension. As always, things don't exactly go as planned.

Bike rider went down @ 16:58 mark of the video … 😮 hopefully not seriously hurt. Great video and lots of really good info. Thank you.
That light bar mount is clean
Thank god I got the xrs from the get go. Cool project though man lot of different options to decide on.
Can’t find the video where you check out for any damages on your diff were you able to ever check that out? Also for the install of the new driveshaft
Nice job 👍🏻 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you!
Can you show how u installed the shock brackets in the rear ?
Do you need a extension for the shocks ?
Love the roof. Where can I get it?
Man you got to show us how you installed the back brackets my holes don’t line up for some reason
Why weren’t you able to just take the front drive shaft off so you could drive it back?
What sound system you have in it
Good stuff
Sucks on the breakage
We’ve had a lot of wind up here lately
Was hoping to get down there for the final weekend but it’s been a hectic couple weeks
Thanks, I was hoping to be there for the last weekend too but didn’t make it in time to get up and running again.
What bumper is that
What was the cost of the kit
Hey buddy can you run a shock tower brace with the brackets that are used for 64 to 72 ?
I don’t see why not.
Bro This Video Is Golden For Me. I Am New To All This So I Will Be Watching Your Video Several Times 😂 I Am Looking To Buy A Conversion Kit From SuperAtv, Do You Know If Its Anygood ? Tubed A Arms Will Be 3500 In Total, & Boxed A Arms Will Be About 4500 In Total. Im Only 2 Minites Into The Video & Im Working 😂 But I Will Watch The Whole Video Tonight. Thank You So Much
Question would you say it’s worth going from 64 to 72 with ur stock shocks or what you think did the ride quality drop
In my opinion it gave the car way more stability. I feel more confident in hard turns after I did the conversion. The only difference in the shocks is slightly more travel on the XRS shocks. Most of the geometry is still the same. So to answer your question, yes I think it is worth to do a conversion. Maybe not necessarily HCR, since there are less expensive options out there including a stock part swap to a 72, but HCR I think is one of the best.
@@MohawkDaveOffRoadwhere do you recommend buying the stock parts swap for a 72?
You need some parts off of a M1A2 Abrams.
Did you have to change brake lines also did you put bracket for shocks in the back
Brake lines no, shock brackets yes.
@@MohawkDaveOffRoaddid you gain ride height or loose height or you stayed about the same?
@@carranza979 gained, than I adjusted back down to my normal,
Thanks for the responses
Can am front and rear driveshafts are a bit of a weak point.
Hey bro, could you send me all the links so I can do mine like this, how much did it all cost you bro 🔥👌🏽
Word of advice since now you have longer suspension your shocks need to be stiffer, I would try three clicks stiffer
Why did they snap? Because of the jumping?
I was extremely hard on the throttle while landing the jumps.
So glad I kept my full size old dunebuggy, all this new shit is junk.
What tires/ rim size are you running on this video
Can you Share the link for the HCR Link

Was it worth all the extra weight and the10% performance? Wisdom from shock therapy him self.......
To me it was definitely worth it. It has changed the entire dynamics of my car. I don’t think I would ever go back to anything less than 72”.
Bruhhhh! How do you keep it so clean while your out still? What are you using to clean it?
Look up things to keep your unit clean. There’s a bunch of sprays that you can use to keep it clean after you wash it for a while and it’s not that expensive. It’s like a shine for plastics and stuff like that
