I’m anxious to play the new remake. But I was about 29 when the original came out and looking back now it’s still looks amazing for what it was. And it can be imitated, but never duplicated.😊

lucky that you played the originals, I was to scared as a kid to play them and now that I'm older and I'm not scared to play them the originals are too dated for me so I enjoy the remakes.

La lucha con Cuhillos entre Krauser y Leon, me recuerda muchisimo a la pelea con Espadas entre Rafe y Nathan Drake en U4.

Aunque el remake sea otro acto de beneficio para traer de vuelta juegos antiguos( y de seguro saldra bien) siempre apreciare a RE4 original como la obra maestra que fue
Aparte de eso es por que estan conectando toda la historia de RE con los remakes (tengo entendido).
Ambos juegos serán apreciados desde la perspectiva de cada quien. Para mí ambos serán increíbles con su experiencia diferente que tienen para aportarte.

The remake is a huge step up from the original in terms of atmosphere, sound design, and art direction. It’s also great to see them adding new areas, side quests, combat mechanics, stealth, and more. I can’t wait to play this!

the og as a better color palette that is suited more for a horror game, the remake has too much contrast that causes black crush, too much blue tint and everything looks wet ans shiny, looks very bad to me honestly, its like someone put those "reshades" on it or something and it has this fan-made look in some degree

The new lighting creates a very effective and tense juxtaposition between light and dark, and the expanded color palette makes the game look more like a Victorian painting come to life (which actually fits the game’s setting). I LOVE the original, but everything was overexposed and lacked detail in the environments compared to the remake. The remake makes the locations feel more lived in and inhabited, and gives the locales more of a historical context. This is crucial for environmental storytelling, especially when it concerns the backstory of the characters and Las Plagas infection. The original looks great when at its best, but unfortunately when at its worst the limited color palette is reminiscent of an early Call of Duty game. There are even buildings in the original that are completely empty and fail to convey the historicity of that area. The remake looks great man, stop shitting on everything to an irrational degree.
@@giacomoford1572 The remake also has new areas to explore, a new parry system, new enemies, stealth mechanics, new weapons, expanded village section, environmental strategies, weather effects, side quests, and more. Resident evil 2 and 3 remake didnt gave me that impression at all, they looked amazing, here it doesnt even look like the Re Engine, its full of crap shaders and it doesnt look clean

No sé por qué pero me dieron más ganas de jugar el original que el remake. Tal vez sea la nostalgia pero casi 20 años han pasado y la entrega del 2005 se sigue viendo genial.
Pienso lo mismo, es uno de esos juegos atemporales que se conservan muy bien.
Pues ambos juegos estarán de la mano para jugarlos siempre que uno quiera. No tiene que ser para todos... Del mismo modo que el Re4 original no es para todo fan de la saga, éste no será la excepción y no por eso significa que será mal juego como paso con Re4 original que por lo mismo que fue despreciado por la nostalgia de los RE1, 2 y 3 de los 90's.

You are using the HD re-release (pc, ps4, xbox) of RE4 as refference, which was a (very) bad port, missing all shader and post processing effects.
Either use the original GC/wii version (via emulation) or use the HD project with post processing restore patches active if you want to show how original RE4 looks.

I don't like the fog traveling on the floor when both Leon and Ashley are introduced to Salazar. That fog has no need to be added in that scene.

I'm enjoying playing RE4R and the details and graphics looks amazing, even though the loading textures load slow on ps4 pro it's still a good game. RE4 OG still looks great after 19 years especially on PC having the HD Project installed and also on ps4.

I have only one wish. That some day, somehow, that one of these RE4 remakes and reboots and re-ports and revisions will include the Dolby Pro Logic 2 soundtrack from Gamecube (and I believe ps2). Every other version I know of had complete trash for surround sound.

Sorry ,I don't want to offend anyone but in my opinion the face is not fit for Leon (although the face model maybe good-looking but doesn't look like Leon). They should've stayed with the original look of the characters and just update/enhance the graphics (face, outfits, environment etc) as per new standards.

Just got my ps5 and got Re4 remake and Dead Space as my first games! After 2 years of looking everywhere for a dang ps5, I finally got one and THIS is my first experience..... DOPE!!! Man, Capcom really killed it with this one.... I don't even wanna play Dead Space haha

Maybe this time I'll actually be good at it. Even in an era of awkward controls that most would get used it, I sucked at the original. Had a collection with escape from racoon city, code Veronica, and 4 and I couldn't even make it past the first level in any of them. I'll definitely get the remake though or at least try the demo and see if I can get anywhere
I personally dont understand how you couldnt play re4 in some capacity. If you didnt like the traditional controls you could have gone with the wii version which had great use of the wii remote. Or hell you can play it in VR now. Just saying if you wanted to play the original there are so many different ways to play it now.
@@survivalhh2995 I was poor, young, and terrible at most games so I never had a wii except for a few games later in life. Second, no way in hell would I ever play any Horror game in vr. The controls were so janky and aiming was awful to me. That’s what I’m saying
