That looks like an awesome trail to take a road trip on! It looks like you were able to enjoy some fascinating natural landscapes and even better eats along the way! The lobster roll looked immense!
That looks like a really nice trip. Would like to drive it and see all those sights. What defines a "doughnut" though? Is it the shape or what it's made of? I say material is more important and thus doughnuts should be bread. Potato "doughnuts" are just potato patties in a doughnut shape.
Thanks for the video! My wife and I are going to Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine next week. It’s our first time on the east coast. We are staying in Kittery and heading up the coast. We will definitely check out these places along the way.
I lived on US 1 in Bath, Maine in 1973 right across from the Sheraton. The house was torn down years ago. We didn’t have a driveway because when they widened the highway the owner of the house we rented gave those rights up. The owner of the Sheraton let us Navy guys park there and we would run across the highway to the house.
If you’re anywhere near Route 1 you’re nowhere near “the Middle” of Maine. Unfortunately the opening of IS95 really hurt the Communities and Businesses along Route 1 but there remain many charming and intriguing things to be found there. Route 1 is definitely “the long way ‘round” and the slow route to … anywhere … but it really is still worth your time and the trip
I guess I should say “middle of Route 1”.😊 it was definitely worth the slow drive to see all the cute little towns in Maine. Maine is such a beautiful and charming state.
Maine is so beautiful! Love this!
Maine was really nice. We loved the fall leaves.
You are correct! I’m from Portland! Maine is one of the most beautiful and best states in America!

I bet it is interesting seeing how the area is changing over time. What a beautiful location you use to live in.
I grew up in York. In grade school we would take field trips to the Old Gaol Cemetery and do grave stone rubbings....probably not allowed today
York is a cute old town. We really enjoyed it.

Hold on….the globe should have been before LL bean lol
you mentioned the whirlpool but then you didn't show it, very disappointed! not many people know about "old sow".
Unfortunately, we missed the tide for the whirlpool by about half and hour. I would have loved to see it in person. Maybe someday.
Route 1
Thank you.
Spagues was better than Reds in my opinion
The negative bummer comments you make sound contradictory to being a travel channel showcasing beautiful places just a thought
Maine is a very beautiful state and we really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
My gawd she's butchering the Maine names
Sorry about that😊 Definitely a flaw of mine! Thank you for watching.
