@@har5814 IMAX ratio has been successfully adapted to 16:9 for Nolan’s movies. Why can’t this be the same way? Not ideal having black bars on each side unless you have a huge tv or projector and screen.
@@nlikeflynn8837 for home viewing I would agree that the downside outweighs the upside. I would much rather it be cropped to fit a full tv screen. But as far as theatrical releases go. It really doesn’t get any better. It allows for a full viewing experience without any of the masking from a 16:9 movie. Maybe this analogy will hit closer to home. Consider digital cameras. The two main camera sensors are full frame and crop sensor. Full frame (4:3) allows you to show an image with the widest viewing angle without distorting the image. Where as a crop sensor takes a really small portion of that Full Frame sensor. Fraction of the light. Fraction of the resolution. That is why 16:9 does. That’s why you’ll find directors with sharp eyes like Nolan, Zack, Ridley scott using a fuller size than 16:9. The unfortunate answer for why 2021s snyder cut is being released in 4:3 when theaters aren’t even open to enjoy this big advantage is that he originally filmed Justice League probably around 2016 when he fully intended for his movie to be featured on a 4:3 ratio. I thought the original was the main st accurate ever representation of Batman in movies, it showed a real human level powers and not a superhuman claiming to be a human.
i like the dark blue color grading that Snyder has in his cut more than Whedon's red annoying tone. Snyder Cut actually fits into the two previous movies, MoS & BvS so we could actually see it's the actual continuity.
Why does Snyder hate warm colors? Like, in any of his scenes? Not saying the entire movie has to be saturated colors, but literally everything the guy churns out is washed out. It's like he's trying too hard to be edgy.
There are only 3 scenes in this trailer that may look washed out because color grading isn't finished. 1. Flash rescuing Iris. 2. Lois lane looking up in the sky 3. Flash vs Resurrected Superman. 4. His resurrection will take more relevance than in Whedon's cut. There is an important reason to revive him and a reason to make it in this point of the story. Maybe will get resurrected in the same way but in great context behind the action
The CGI is day and night , plus the color grading is much better too , and these are only about 30 min in the movie , the other 3 hours and 30 min are all new and we saw like 5 min about it

So hyped for the Snyder cut but the aspect ratio 4:3 is so weird. Why can not we have 21:9 or 16:9 as normal?
U really don't know about how the aspect ratio is better as 4:3
It was shot for IMAX.
Dude it's an IMAX shot. Think back to when Nolan shot The Dark Knight in IMAX for the action scenes in 2008
Zack Snyder is letting us see the whole frame. Tbh I always hated widescreen. It takes away the beauty of the visuals of the movie. Especially for a visual god like lord and savior Snyder. This movie needs that IMAX experience
Originally for the IMAX theaters and then the 16:9 ratio for regular screens. But the IMAX ratio shows more picture of the scene.
@@har5814 IMAX ratio has been successfully adapted to 16:9 for Nolan’s movies. Why can’t this be the same way? Not ideal having black bars on each side unless you have a huge tv or projector and screen.
There is no comparison. Different movies.
Synder's Steppenwolf actually looks cool and intimidating.👌
when people ask "why the 4:3 ratio!?" show them this video.
What is good about the 4:3 ratio? Looks really weird on my tv for a 2021 movie.
So filming his additional photography with a crop wouldn’t make sense. Sorry to ramble. I feel like it was important to elaborate? Lol. If I got any of that wrong. Please I welcome any corrections.
change of color tone can make things look so different!
Whedon: Zack's JL is too dark and unwatchable.
Snyder : DC universe not Marvel you know
The DC Universe isn't usually so grim though. That's just his interpretation. I'm just curious to see what he wanted to do.
@@JohnDoe97637 This story specifically is. it's about apocalypse, and even in the comics it's really dark. I know it's his style, but it's THE right style for this. as people really say, this is not marvel when even everything is bad they joke around(it sometimes happens), but in other times it really is bad, and everything turns real black.
@@mansourr Oh I 100% agree. But there are some people out there that like to push this notion that Marvel is fun and family friendly while DC is grim and dark, which could not be more incorrect.
@@JohnDoe97637 i understand, but generally, it is actually true. look at the dark stories of marvel, and then look at dc's ones. Love it or hate it dc is really more dark, it's just the truth, but not all of it is just dark. What conveys dc best is the animated versions. Nothing will top these adaptations.
@@mansourr But both Marvel and DC have fun stories, dark stories, fun characters and dark characters. It all depends on who's writing the story. That doesn't suddenly change because of films that DC doesn't even make. Some people think otherwise though, and go around saying DC is all dark and grim, when that's so dead wrong. That's like saying Marvel is dark because of the Netflix shows. It just doesn't make any sense.
Honestly, not a good comparison. You should have left it blank where the scene is not in the theatrical cut. Adding scenes from VFX reel, leaked scenes and deleted scenes doesn't serve the purpose. Majority off these scenes ARE NOT in the 2017 movie.

Just clarifying some fact: There's no Joss Whedon's Steppenwolf. Both designs are Zack's, you can check that on his Vero or google it. Joss is known for giving useless side characters unneeded screen time like in the avengers movies
@@wanted_melon2348 but Snyder is the king of that, he killed Jimmy Olsen for no reason and gave us a dead Robin with no context and introduced the JL members via usb 😂.
@@Qthetar how is Snyder the king of that? Yes, I agree he shouldn’t have killed Jimmy off that fast but even in the comics Jimmy isn’t that important so it’s not that upsetting, also, how does dead Robin and JL members on a USB have to do with giving useless side characters unneeded screen time, you see how off topic you got? Snyder made the movies mainly for comic book fans so people already knew what happened to Robin and the JL members on the USB made since because it came from Alex Luther and he was looking into to metahumans and superhumans to find someone that can kill or defeat Superman, that’s why they were on the USB dumbass
@@wanted_melon2348 Jimmy Olsen isn't important in comics ? God, you've proved that you don't read. Jimmy Olsen has been one of the most important Superman characters as well as arguably Clark's most important friend. Killing him off in just 2 minutes was just dumb, no offense.

Yeah sure. Zach had finished scenes. Joss League is two people's vision in one. @@JamesCartermusic yeah prolly, hopefully the movie will be a treat.
His resurrection will take more relevance than in Whedon's cut. There is an important reason to revive him and a reason to make it in this point of the story. Maybe will get resurrected in the same way but in great context behind the action
