Picking up a Cheap Sight Unseen 1993 GMC Chevy OBS Build Project Purchased Thru an Online Auction

- We all love budget built hot rods or modifications to our cars/trucks. I got a wild hair and bought a 1993 GMC OBS truck. It was cheap enough, but, what do you get when you buy something sight unseen? You have to trust a few pictures and a vague description before offering $ for it.
Tell me your thoughts. Did I over-pay at $1050.00? Should I fix a few things and sell it to buy something better? OR, do I use it as a parts vehicle to get another project further along? So many decisions!!
WE GOT SOME LAURENCEVILLE GARAGE SWAG AND DECALS!!

My thoughts are that I'm gonna watch and like whatever you do to or with it! Love your content....looking forward to some more obs vids
Thank you Lloyd! We have a couple of big projects coming up that kinda have a big span. One (is for a customer) and is very cool and different kind of LS build with a higher budget at well. The other is going to be a very tight budget that would appeal to (I think) a large audience. Something a guy wanting his first car/truck could afford and fix up or someone that is just on a tight budget and can't afford crate motors, 20's and chrome stuff while paying for a mortgage, kids, and braces. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@Laurenceville Garage man that sounds exciting! Can hardly wait!
I just bought another 89 gmc single cab short bed, project has 5.7 tbi and a th400, will try to use the transmission with a 5.3 or 6.0,
That'll work! Should be fun!
I picked up a 91 xtra cab 2wd 5 sp with the v6 last fall. Motor is stuck, but seized at idle so it may need and oil pump and bottom end bearings (long story). Could also be a great V8 swap candidate.
Best thing about it, I paid $500 with a clear title and the guy helped me tow it across town to my shop.
I would say you stole that one! Good job!
Nice truck,,, Is it for parts???
I don't know yet....I could fix it up a bit and sell it to upgrade to something better....
Were did you get the auto trailer from ? And what does one like you have cost ?
Got it from Texoma trailers. Depends on some options, but mid 4's. Best deal around I could find that had one in stock.
Parts but it has a decent body and running sell it make money back
there certainly worth fixing up , I still drive my 91 GMC 1500 short box , I sure wished it was a standard . this is the result of 2 years of work, body was done at a shop. ua-cam.com/video/-BDUuHcDqW4/v-deo.html
