Maynard is singing about how it doesn't make sense to him that if there is a God it doesn't make sense that he "abandoned" a faithful servant and let her die painfully. I feel bad listening to this song because I am a devout Christian, but it's just so awesome... haha

everytime someone brings up the whole " let your servant die" thing, i tell them to examine their daily schedule. just think of the literally millions of ways you can die, like tripping in the shower, falling onto the sharp kitchen corner, a car crash etc. When someone dies, it's because it's God's declared time. end of.
