The Trammps was a very underrated band in the seventies. They were great musicians and had a tremendous lead vocal in Jimmy Ellis.

Jimmy Ellis his voice was made for these songs. “ where do we go from here” “ shout” “ disco inferno”. Etc. His voice was truly one in a milion. Thanks Jimmy Ellis and the Trammps for giving us such wonderful times and music.! This will stay forever with us, my generation.! Thanks again.! R.I.P. Mr. Ellis.

I love disco. I am so glad I lived on this era. I just finished Highschool in 1978. Oh the music and dancing, so many fine dancing women in every club. Disco's everywhere. Women in pretty mini skirts , smokin. Most of guys had 2-3 women steady. It was crazy. Love it. The Trammps had it going on; hit after hit.

The Trammps...the best disco band ever. Great sound, great vocals. I was working at Atlantic Records when Disco Inferno came out on our label. Awesome! But, their earlier tracks: Stop and Think and Save a Place are two of my favorites as well as Love Epidemic. But there are many other tracks that were great and hold up, even to this day.

    "Stop And Think"
Stop and think a while before you leave and say goodbye
    You know you'd better stop
    Stop it baby
Stop and think a while before you leave and say goodbye
    You know you'd better
If you leave I know my life will never be the same
One more chance that's all I ask
My heart is full of shame
    Let me explain
Ooh, I fooled around and took the chance on a one night fling
    You caught me wrong
I promise you girl I'll try my best to do the right thing
Stop and think a while before you leave and say goodbye
    You know you'd better stop
    Stop it baby
Stop and think a while before you leave and say goodbye
    Wait a minute now
There's one thing I'd like to say if you have the time
I'll confess the wrong I've done
    If you say you're mine😍😍
    Let me explain
Ooh, I fooled around and took the chance on a one night fling
    Honey
    You caught me wrong
I promise you girl, I'll try my best to do the right thing
Stop and think a while before you leave and say goodbye
    You know you'd better
Stop and think a while before you leave and say goodbye
    You know you'd better
    Stop...😃😃😃😍😍😍

~ Top ten dance song USA 1975: This song and this album are so not forgotten, especially by dance music aficionados worldwide. Stop and listen: I hear a sample or two from "Disco Inferno" in this song L.O.L. I know: that came later. Philly soul is derivative and formulaic, yet like Motown, it is still fresh and revered in 2018. See also the group The Moment Of Truth, and hit by Trammps same year, '75: "Hooked For Life."
    Cheers, DAVEDJ ~

Totally agree with you David, although I don't remember hearing Stop & Think being played here in the UK. I don't understand that because if it had it would have been a sure fire hit. DJ DC, I f***ing LOVE both your mixes and the miles-wide breadth of your musical palette - from the most AM-annointed Pop to the deepest crate-digging classics like this one. If anyone listening to this doesn't feel their Soul and their Ass get a jolt...well, I can't understand that.
