Those "leaked" items are clearly fakes, most of them are just basic hue changes of existing models to the texture, and the meshes with original textures are rushed with rough uv editing. Also the only item that required any new modelling at all (the lava lamp) looks like absolute garbage. As someone who has done 3d moddeling and texturing before, all the leaked items would take me about 25 minutes to recreate, and i assume roblox would spend more effort than that for and event that they are hyping up this much. What i assume happened was that the person who made the textures saw the blue-black color scheme from either the korblox or release date posts and decided to make these textures to troll everyone. Plus the creator is not even in the dev rel development group (the group making the game) it also doesnt aline with the admins teasing the event with egg related stuff. Im not sure it will be and egg hunt, byt those leaked items are deffinetly fake, and if they are real ill give the first reply 1k robux

@@whatduhheell yes but they are not associated with dev rel, who is making the hunt. Other roblox developers like inception time have been trolling by making fake things titled "secret" so assume the 3d artist who made them is trolling aswell. only time will tell, the "hunt" is in 9 days anyways.

Personally, I don't mind if there aren't eggs, I just hope the journey to obtaining these items will be fun. The journey is what was always fun about egg hunts or other events.

Tbh not true, I mean it’s true for most people but what got me into egg hunt was legit discovering eggs and the unique ways they could design a single egg model. I swear I looked at the egg design way more than I did actually playing the games to get those eggs

There were leaked placeholders for games meaning we will get a dev style hunt, but likely the blue items were just made to be purchasable in the egg hunt area, not to be the actual hunt.

This MIGHT still be a 2019 style egghunt which if yall dont remember that hunt also had normal free accsesories leaked at the start and as a person who had partaken in that event people also thought it wouldnt be an egghunt itd be an accessory hunt but it turned out to have eggs!

To be honest I'd like actual accessories that you can actually wear and not eggs that only fit you with very specified shirts or pants

So long as it isn’t another brand tie in, and is an actual community event, I’m fine with this for the most part. I am bothered by all the specific egg mentions leading to not eggs, but at the end of the day this *is* substantially better than the brand events before. Still some genuine disappointment though
I think it still has a chance, because they did a similar thing with the ready player 1 event, and there are so many different badges and yet only a few of these, it could potentially be a thing such as things that could be collected in the “hub”
Those items look really cool, I love the blue/black color scheme, like in the Darkage Ninja Swords
the only thing that I hope this event can bring to me myself and all of you guys is the feeling of a fun journey on hunting those items like the old days when the events come out and everybody's so excited and ready for it that's the real value for the Roblox events can bring to
I like the variety in prizes. Eggs are cool but they are kinda big and bulky looking. Plus like you said in the video, just having it be called the hunt could open up the possibilities for having these types of events at different times other than Easter. Can’t wait for the event, I love the vibe of events and having the whole Roblox community come together. Happy Hunting 👍
bc of how roblox is, the item hints in game could be a cover up to what really the hunt is about, the hunt possibility could be roblox gathering/hunting down all info what ever credit cards are saved on roblox and the countdown could be when roblox finishes the gathering of said info and when the timer hits 0....

Even though I am a bit bummed about it not being an egg hunt, I checked out the game in the description and honestly, the items have an old Roblox feel to them and aren't all that bad. Also, after listening to the 2:28 part, I think having multiple small hunts in a year would be so cool.

They’re most likely just starting place items, there would probably be a main hub area where you can get these accessories and for the other games is where the eggs actually come in.

Well, more variety for free cosmetics is always nicer for the free players, so it's a win for me.
it could be the sort of thing they did with christmas events and their openable gifts, but instead you open eggs and find neat hats.

I am gonna miss the egg themed prizes. But i think different types of accessories does sound like a good idea! Could be more options of things people might actually wear more often. And more different free items for free to play players.

This could be some sort of "looking back" kind of event, judging by the remodeled items.
Also more to add: Maybe the so-called "first phase" of The Hunt relates to a more traditional Roblox egg hunt (to an extent); but the second or rest of it is similar to something they did in the RPO/RP2 and RB Battles events, where you're suppose to find things like a scavenger hunt with limited accessories and stuff. Similar to them so-called Dev-hunts.
I still have good chunk of hope left because devs launched eggs, approved that they are working at on the EGG hunt, you can see egg mosaic in the roblox lobby video, and most importantly egg silhouette in one of the portals

All though it doesn't look to be an actual Egg Hunt, I'm still glad we're getting an event. I've been starved out of events for a long time, so I'm happy with this. And the accessories don't look too bad either.
And a possible return to Halloween related events is something I'll never pass up, Halloween events were always my favourite whenever they rolled around.

Well actually just realized eggs could be unlocked as a ugc from developers since Y’know devs could release egg prizes but from different developers and they advertise it on their front page which would be awesome
Tower heroes just uploaded an egg hat asset, one of the place holder event hats was called “TH”
This is basically the Ready Player Two event, but I’m not mad since I loved that event
honestly, even if the fake egg hunt leaks were fake I'm still so glad we're getting something other than sponsored events. sure they're old items with a new colour scheme but this is something i genuinely do want instead of some sponsored underpay-your-developers event
and they don't even look THAT bad PERSONALLY, even if it's just a recolor i would like to try to get them

I don't rlly mind the event not being a hunt. It is still an event that would keep us engaged. Perhaps it's an event that would slowly introduce back egg hunt.
It would be cool if they were eggs, but at the end of the event they turn into actual accessories, (the eggs would still be able to be equipped afterwords though)

Even with accessories over eggs, this event will still be great. (Though a 3D platformer involving the hats would've been better)

I'll enjoy it nonetheless, it's been a while since we had a big event like the usual egg hunts. Even if this might not be about the eggs it's still a good sign roblox is becoming more interactive with their community which allows us to have more events like these. And who knows, maybe have an actual egg hunt next year.

It'll be interesting to see if they actually go the egg route or not. I'll probably wait until the event comes out and see what the cosmetics look like before playing it. If there's eggs, great, day 1 play for me!
If not, then I'll only go for the ones I like or just won't play at all. It's interesting to see them doing something for an event that's supposed to be community focused, but then.. they somehow avoid the aspect of something the community has loved ever since the "hunts" were stopped.

Honestly I kind of think this is really cool. Even if it's just recolored lava lamps and stuff, these are really neat. I don't mind the egglessness. I like the item color scheme!
Also, devs won't have to cram eggs into their games where they don't fit. Even if it breaks the tradition, I think it's at least not a bad thing.

I feel like they should make it so you can find accessories and eggs, so we can we get the new stuff but also keeping the tradition of finding eggs.
Well... I like the idea that roblox is doing. They're slowly transitioning back to their old times, but with modern influences. They're making new traditions or changing old ones. Even if it's not egg hunts, remastered items from their older days is still a jackpot compared to what we've had.

@playfulwaddles I agree. Roblox has literally hinted multiple times that there is an EGG HUNT. They responded to a guy regarding the egg hunt with the "👀" emoji and they responded to Kreekcraft and also used the emoji "👀". Not to mention the admins spamming eggs. Roblox can't hint to all of this being an egg hunt and then be shocked if the player base is mad when it isn't.
nobody wants to get boring,cheap items, having to go to to Walmart Experience or Hyundai experience to get them. Use your brain for a few seconds

I kind of prefer these items if they are the prizes that is. There’s not usually many good eggs and so some varied accessories are more welcomed to using them in avatars.
Honestly, I don’t hate the idea. The eggs are our tradition, sure, but at the same time, they’re kind of restrictive in design and you probably wouldn’t actually wear them outside of the event…
Having broader prizes that could actually be incorporated into non-event outfits sounds awesome. Although I’m not a big fan of the idea of re-coloring existing accessories.
And hey, at least we’re getting an actual event. And hopefully a recurring one at that!

Well this event is still a good thing. Even if it's not a "egg" hunt, it's a miracle Roblox is even doing this for the us in the first place. It could be the start to bringing non-sponsored events back as a whole and more community interactions from Roblox if they get enough praise for it.
