We finally tackle a job we had been putting off for months

- After living in the gite, which is nestled next to the tower of the chateau, for several months, we are determined to create an outdoor living space for ourselves, rather than the mud bath that we have grown accustomed to with all the rain fall. Carpenter Curt helps us make a great start as we pour the first half of the cement slab that will eventually become our terrace.
The Chateau Adventures charts the adventures of Nick and Nicole (and their son Noah) as they take on a renovation of a lifetime to bring back to life an ancient 1,000 year old chateau nestled amongst the vines in the small village of St Julien D'Eymet in the Dordogne, so that they may create both a home and a business.

I ne er fail to be awed and amazed at the incredibly arduous work you do!
Thank you. Baby’s steps each time, but we’re making progress ☺️
The terrace is going to be the best gathering place. Enjoyed seeing it from start to almost finished. Thank you.
It is ☺️ hard work in the heat but very satisfying.
Nice size terrace just right to have drinks in the evening with aperitif and friends 🎉❤
I like your thinking Annette ☺️
@@thechateauadventures cheers 🍻 👏
❤❤❤❤
☺️
Going to be fantastic!
Thanks ☺️
I hope you all signed the slab with Noah and the year
🤦🏻♂️ I think we may have forgotten to do that! Next time 😀

I don't understand why you're putting it on top of plastic sheeting.
Apparently, water vapour from the ground can damage concrete slabs so the plastic sheeting is there to protect the underside.
@@thechateauadventures Thank you.
Nick & Nicole, I was wrong, Selling UP is on at 3:30 so next week, I'll tell everyone at Colombe to come here at 3
Thank you ☺️
And get well sooner ❤️🩹
@@thechateauadventures it’s not me, my husband had surgery on his leg
