God-- I am LOVING this. SO much fun to watch. I heard about this video back in the 90s... floating around on VHS, but never saw it! It's so interesting to hear how Greg sings the songs differently... Especially "What Jail is Like" at the 20 minute mark. The differences in his voice and its inflections... just the way he treats the songs differently at that age... if that makes sense.
These guys traveled econo and saved themselves from owing the record company. Unlike the guys I worked for, whose initials are U-O. The Whigs would give me shit when we ran across each other on the road
I saw a band with those initials play a show in Madison in 04. I'd assume the drinks for the band would be comped, but I guess I was wrong as they ran up a bill of several hundred dollars. The show rocked, but I can't imagine giving that much money back to the venue.
I remember the gig at Doornroosje (=the Sleeping Beauty) in the Netherlands at oct 11th 1992 ended with and extra encore of Greg and a nude Steve Earle singing Jesus Loves Me, This I Know, For the Bible Tells Me So a-capella while holding hands. A priceless memory.
I wish I could sleep deeply like the ending. If I make a little sound or if there is the tiniest creaking I wake up. I am so tired, always tired but at least I don't snore
Agreed Brad, when today's music really is a thumbs down, there comes a group like the Afghan Whigs that restore my love for music and belief in the artist
Great live footage but I was hoping for a little more storyline. Probably get bashed for saying that, but I love documentaries on bands. Anyway saw the "Conjure Me" video on 120 min when I was 22. Bought the album and kept listening through the years. Retarded is still my favorite but not socially accepted today I'm sure. Peace
Up In It is why they are proto emo forebears. And to think, if I hadn't introduced Dulli to Chris Thompson, there might not have been a "Congregation". "I'm Her Slave" indeed.
The best live band I ever saw. It was live a religious experience. I’ve never seen someone command a room like Dulli.
Yes! Never seen this. Thank you!
This is amazing. There is simply not enough conten on these guys for me, for any of us.

Dulli owns a piece of the R Bar. It has a 4 room hotel upstairs with a shared balcony deck that is a great sex/drugs spot...
