Dee describes things very well. I started transitioning when I was sixty-eight. I am now seventy. I crossed dressed twenty-five years ago and realized then I was trans. It was very, very difficult to transition then so I decided I had to live as a man. Then, two years ago the egg cracked. I had to do something about it. I knew there was no way I would be able to repress it again. I only would add for me after cross dressing for a short time I realized it was not about the clothes. It was about whom I wanted to be and who I felt I really am. I agree one of the hardest thing is coming out to people. Also, when transitioning at an older age, it is hard to know how far to go, HRT, FFS, GRS. It just feels like you do not have much time left. Regardless, I am happier and aware my life is better for acknowledging I am trans. Sure there are advantages to transition at an older age. But, many trans people wish they had transitioned when they were younger. Passing is so much easier and if you do it early enough you can avoid surgery and do not have to deal with coming to terms with having lived so many years as your birth gender.
A lovely interview. Dee is very courageous. There are many older trans people who feel that they cannot come out to some family members, and who therefore live a double life.
Hi. First and foremost, thank you for the excellent interview, and thank you Dee for sharing. I just want to emphasize that the sexual origin (excitement from putting on women's underwear) is transvestitism. The transgender narrative is most often different, with some sort of gender, social or other types of dysphoria whether manifest or latent from a very young age. Nothing is black and white of course, and one can be both. I just feel it is important for anyone who's confused here to know that what Dee is describing as her origin story is actually a fetish that more often than not exists separately and is not related to transgenderism.
What a lovely story. I do know this lady and had the privilege to meet Dee when she came to Melbourne for a holiday and love to meet up with her again.
I wonder how many occasions there were in the past where someone "left something out" like maybe underwear was found and instead of admitting what was up they accepted the first accusation and were considered an adulterer.
My sister is depressed + has ptsd and she is ashamed of admitting that she has an obsession for downloading books. Should we celebrate her simply ecause admitting that she does this is difficult and it feels like the new her, because it does. Just so sad.
I thought that it was easier after the Professional life. Because trans women often get jobs as men, but are unemployed as transwomen. I know a person who detransitioned because of this. The person said they saw that they couldn't live the life of a woman. Because the person will not give birth to children and marry a man like most women do... So all that remains is only to concentrate on the career like men. They said they couldn't get a job as transwoman. Living off social support as a woman. Or switching back to being a man and achieving something from your career. So the person decided to sell all female clothing. To live as a man, to have a well-paying job. He then immediately bought a condominium.
Was there a point to all of this ?? A good many of us still keep our jobs and function as a productive part of society. So the real question is..... What is more important, Living your life happily or being miserable, while being just another......... "Cog in the wheel"
@@wilburshuman It's probably very individual. There are some who are married, have children and a job. They think about whether they really should give up everything and then lose their wife, perhaps children for a while, lose their job and perhaps live on welfare, and then never be fully recognized as a woman. Or whether they shouldn't do it. Others transition, perhaps lose their wife, but are still respected by their work colleagues in their industry. But don't know who the woman they have transitioned to is, because this woman has no past. She has not lived as a girl and experienced puberty. And, later on, did not live as a woman either. Because the person lived as a man and was married to a woman. Whoever lives well and it fits well is beautiful. But it's not always that.
@@nathanmiller9785 Please explain. I would expect any trans person to be as other young people as in incredibly horny all the time. I thought it odd Dee claimed to have no impulses until the age of sixty. It makes no sense.
I believe that turbo diesel was a different engine from the diesel that Ford put in the Rangers, though it sounds like a better engine than what they put in the Rangers.
Because it's usually not about transgender it's about autogynephobia. They get aroused by wearing women's clothes and having their twigs and berries on display.
My friend Suzi transitioned at 54 and lost all her family. It’s so upsetting her family couldn’t love her unconditionally x

Thank you for sharing your experience and good luck for the future.
What courage this woman has. I’m in awe of her bravery…
I had trans feeling all my life but I didn't transition until 45. I will be 70 December 21 2024
You still didn't transition. It's impossible 😂

Absolutely !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is such an interesting discussion. Thank you for contributing.

Could I ask a very dumb question please? Is this AGP and how does one get sexual excitement if one is over 60?
This is 100% AGP but don’t expect anyone to acknowledge it. Speaking as a former AGP myself I can spot the shit a mile away.

You are so beautiful
Transgender women don't usually dress modestly. No matter what age. It's something I noticed.
they tend to go into protitution too, very provicative
Incorrect. The ones that stand out dress immodestly. But Check Wendy Carlos Jan Morris even April Ashley !

Why wait till you are old and balding?
