I'm so glad you make these videos. I've been trying to figure out which wax to buy after having a bad experience with the one that came with my warmer. As you've said in another video, the people reviewing on Amazon don't always know what they're doing so I can't go off of that. It's so helpful to see the wax actually being used by a professional to get an idea of the quality.

I’m officially a licensed esthetician and I know for a fact the wax I’ve received in my starter kit that I ordered from amazon is terrible quality, but I couldn’t remember what I used in school and I believe it’s the Starpil that you’ve reviewed, I’m so glad

I feel like all hard waxes no matter the brand, you always never get all the hair that you have to do clean up strips. Where as soft wax it’s usually a one and done and only have to tweeze tiny amount of hair or rarely have to tweeze.

Thank you for your video. I'm a licensed Aesthetician trained years ago in hard wax. I learned to apply a pretreat oil on the skin. When if ever do you use a pretreat oil. I was trained it puts a buffer between skin and wax to avoid skin irritation.

    • @TylerCard-Huffman

Wouldn’t the oil prevent the wax from sticking to the hair too though?

    • @lifestyleofselflove143

@@TylerCard-Huffman actually it surprisingly doesn’t. I use jasmine apricot oil. You can go over the skin too as the skin isn’t damaged and doesn’t have skin lifting. Been doing it like this for 23 years. Learned method from Lycon wax.

Thank you so much for your videos. I’ve been waiting on this video. I tired the cirepil wax and I loved it but when my hair started to grow back I had a lot of ingrown hair under my skin.
I wanted to try starpil wax, so I made an order from the website you put under your video, I got it 2 days ago... still haven’t tried it yet,, the shipping fee is pricey which made me order more than 100$ to skip the shipping cost... I hope it’s worth it
I don’t know why amazon doesn’t carry starpil wax

Thank you so much for these videos! You are a God send! I remember how excited I was when I bought a little wax pot warmer from amazon and got the hard wax beads with it. Boy was I disappointed in the wax. It hurt when it kept breaking when I tried pulling it off. I only used that wax pot once 😔
But would that same little wax pot warmer work with good and thick quality hard wax like Starpil or Cirepil? I’d rather not throw the pot away if it can be useful 👀

I recently waxed myself for the first time and I used cirepil. It was good. But in some areas I had to go over it many times (which ik is not good for you) and it did not pull some hairs from the root. I did my armpit and a brazilian with it, and those areas have thick, coarse hair. People talked so highly of cirepil, so I was surprised I had to go over the same place multiple times. Is it because it was my first time and it’s harder to pull from the roots? Will it get easier, making the wax more efficient?

I also just bought cirepil its what my school uses but since my school is currently closed with the virus 🙃 I wanted to practice at home im used to soft wax but was very interested in learning hard wax. I tried it on my legs and eyebrows first... and it didn't get all my leg hairs I think its because not all my leg hair are in the same hair cycle so by the third time they should be on the same cycle but im not 100% sure.. i do have to say there is a learning curve especially if you are used to soft wax because i was under the impression hard wax hurt less and um my eyebrows hurt for days after (probably an inexperienced operator problem) so it will probably just take time to learn

@@nkirukaukaegbu5080 it works for both but with me being new at it, it doesn't get all the hairs but I assume that's because the hairs are in different growing cycles rn by the 3rd time they should be in the same cycle. I did successfully wax my armpits on the first try (still have like 2 hairs on each but those are pluckable. Practice makes proficient. Good luck!

Hi, so I've used cirepil and love the way it works and bought starpil to test out the different waxes, but it doesn't really grab all the hair and I'm left with hair behind, that being fine hair and normal hair. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? I apply just like I would with cirepil, I make the lip at the end as well, and I also make sure it's a good consistency. I even bought the blue, pink and starsoft hard wax from starpil, to test out and I'm having the same problem with all 3. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello, I have Starpil the honey color one. It seemed to pull-up hair on my armpits but when I did it only legs, it only got up maybe 25% of the hair. I did all the things you said in your video such as prepping the skin, exfoliating, not waiting until it's hard, etc. I could probably press a bit harder so I will try that, too, but I don't think that will help all the way to get all the hair. Would a different color of starpill wax pick up more hair on my legs? What are the different colors for?

I think so, just try it out and see. I always use the twirling method when it's on the stick to ensure it's moving fast, but not too fast. This will allow you to cool it before you apply it. You'll get used to the movement & speed as it relates temperature. This is how I can tell if it's at the proper temperature by just looking at it.

Can i use any type of oil for a pre-waxing oil? Or is that oil even necessary?

I believe before wax you apply a cleanser like bactine then dusting powder, wax, and for after apply the oils , so it’s cleanse then moisturize

Great video I could’ve swore cerapil used to be wayyyy cheaper tho😬 oh well I’ll stick with my starpil love it and their options❗️❗️ also could you do a video on how to eyebrow wax yourself because I try not to put it so close to my hair I feel like I’m going to take out too much 🤷🏽‍♀️ also it’s hard to wax a nose and not have it drip on the upper lip

It might have used to be cheaper but recently when I've looked up prices it was a lot more! Lol yes I can show you how I wax my own brows. It's not easy... Just use a little less wax on the nose.
