I have developed a deeeeep passion for the franchise. Even though I haven't really been playing any of the recent games because money is tight. I have however played Pokémon GO. I was immediately hooked. They brought one of my most passionate topics to the real world. And it wasn't some crappy cash cow. It was an actual, legitimate community based game. You all worked together, even if it was against eachother (Gyms). But now, we can really do it all. We can all gather together to take on the best of the best. Legendaries. We do it together, all as a team. With the pokemon that we have bonded with too. Y'see pokemon isn't all EV's. Or IV's. Or nature. Its simply having fun as a community. And pokemon go really nailed that. Niantic accomplished what I have dreamed of almost my entire life. And I was overwhelmed with emotion. You might call me a wuss, and well, I fully respect you if you do. I'm kicking my own ass for crying as we speak xD. But seriously. I may not be able to attend GO Fest. To be completely honest. When we beat the legendary the entire crowd of 50 people playing with me went silent and broke into a happy cheer just like this. It was a moment that I had missed from the original release which I am glad they were finally able to recreate. They brought people together, regardless of how small the amount. I think if anything, this game deserves a bit of respect for all it has done, even with the bumps along the way.
Remember the Pixels film? A city was attacked by Galaga aliens, fake Pac-Man, fake Donkey Kong and the Atari Centipede in it. Can only imagine if this was done with Pokémon as well. The Pokémon wouldn't be made of voxels, but their powers could still do damage to the city.
Am I the only one who can't stop a heartwarming smile to appear on my face during and after the Raid Battle, especially when the crowd hugging each others :)?
