I agree. The very best instructions step by step. Many people learn faster by watching an instructor doing the steps. If you are a beginner to the craft it's so much easier to learn by watching the instructor's hands and how to place the hooking needle along with showing the front side of the stitching and how it should look. Thank you Amy for all the terrific tutorials you do. From a fellow Vermonter. training.
Amy makes me so calm. I have a hectic job. When I watch her videos, it's like the Earth Mother is speaking to me and saying "there, there" it's okay to relax. Unwind those tense muscles." I hope she sees that as a compliment. She should do some guided meditation recordings. I'd buy!
This was so helpful and her soothing voice reminds me of Mr. Rodgers! I mean that as a sincere compliment. I was the little kid that LOVED Mr. Rodgers' Neighborhood!
Hi Amy. I started punch needle as we sheltered in place and your videos have been so helpful. Thank you for being an excellent teacher! Punch needle has really helped my mental health in these last few months. I'm excited to gift small mug rugs this holiday season :)
An excellent tutorial, thank you for such precious tips! Such a clean finishing! Did you apply anything on the back to secure the knots (fabric glue or a sealant)?
Hi, Amy! Thank you so much for all the videos you made for us. I just have a question, what is the diameter or circunference of both the regular and fine punch needles you produce? I want to see which one works best for me. Thank you! I hope you are doing great.
My daughter-in-law bought me a kit last Christmas but I never got around to finishing it off. This morning, your video popped into my feed. My mom used to tell me that the front and the back should look the same weather it is rug hooking, needle punch, embroidery. It seems you are echoing her sentiment!!! Now I can finish off my needle punch project!! My son reminded me that he used to help me as a very restless 5 year old!! Yes he did a hockey player rug hook which was never completely finished. Now I would like to give it to him to hang in his sons room but was wondering if and how to wash it after accumulation of some 30 years of dust!!! Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
I'm working on a much larger project that has to be shifted on the frame...I'm wondering can I do the clean up (snipping long/loose ends) off the frame?
I see many people put a wool piece on the back covering the whole back - does that help the rug hold up when it is on the floor? and where would you buy that piece?
What kind of glue can I use to finish the back of a rug? I made a big rug and I wonder what you are using to stabilise the stich. Fabric glue are only in small tube. Any suggestion about what kind of product I can use? TY
@@carolerhacheleblanc3950 If you are hanging it on a wall you don't need glue, if you are putting it on the floor beside your bed where it won't get much use you don't need any glue either, just keep cats and dogs away from it but if you are putting it on the floor and it will get some use, you can use PVC craft glue. That's what I read in crafters forum anyway.
Can one make a piece like for instance a Smyrna tabelrunner, where the topstiches are open, if you know what I mean ? I am nearly 80 and not used to speak English, I'am from Belgium.
Hae lovely you inspired me on making Mats have just oppened a channel ...you can check on my progress ...I love the. Am really looking forward to be like you

Hi Miss Amy, I Love using your needle Punch tools, I was curious, will you ever consider making a needle punch tool that uses embroidery thread ?
I'm working on a much larger project that has to be shifted on the frame...I'm wondering can I do the clean up (snipping long/loose ends) off the frame?
Hello. Which cloth do you use while stitching a rug. Is the cloth different in a wal hanging frame and rug?
And do you glue the back of tour work?
I see many people put a wool piece on the back covering the whole back - does that help the rug hold up when it is on the floor? and where would you buy that piece?
Molto esauriente cercavo come rifinire i lavori

Спасибо за ваши добрые слова!
hi! any tips on hemming a circular rug?
Is the ironing technique safe for acrylic yarn?
We recommend it for 100% wool yarn. It could melt some synthetic yarns.
How would one go about cleaning such a rug?
Como puedo traducir el video no hablo ingles
