CT Pages | Westbrook Public Library Baking Buddies

Welcome to CT Pages! Meet Tricia Carlin, Children's Librarian at the Westbrook Public Library who shares the experience of collaborating on Baking Buddies with the Westbrook Senior Center and the Parks & Recreation Department and with support from a CT State Library Summer Enrichment Grant. Baking Buddies offered a series of baking classes for children in 1st through 4th grades pairing them with senior volunteers for the program. The seniors provided baking help, mentorship, and were fabulous reading buddies with whom they got to enjoy a good book and a delicious baked snack!
