- Packing for a cruise?
Whether you’re boarding a ship, leaving a ship, or traveling to some other fantastic destination, packing is one aspect that can be frustrating. While on the Brilliance of the Seas, I took the opportunity to show you one packing hack I always use to get more clothes in my suitcase, (or in this case: laundry bag). #cruise #travel #hack

Probably the best cruise travel hack I’ve seen.
I’m glad I could help!
Amazing! Thank you!!!!
Wow! You are a laundry magician! This was new to me!
I've never seen the laundry lasagna before. 🤯 It's really difficult for my mind to believe that you got all of those clothes into that bag with room to spare!!! 🤯
Right!!! I literally just yelled out "SHUT UP!" 😂 This is good to know even just for regular packing.
⭐️⭐️⭐️”GENIUS”⭐️⭐️⭐️
Variations of this is also how 1 bag travelers pack clean clothes for their trips. Nice job!
Hey Morgan, I'm literally doing my laundry in my sink right now, on the very same ship you are on at this moment. My clothes are all quick dry material specifically so that I can do laundry myself. I bought some dry detergent sheets on Amazon which dissolve quickly in the sink. This ships sinks are kinda tiny though. Anyway, the clothes dry overnight.
Cheers!
PS-- Looking forward to see what you say about this cruise, since I can compare to my first hand experience.
Hi Roger!
loved this idea!!! thanks for sharing this technique.
That's a great tip. We always rolls but your Clothes lasagna is way more efficient!!!
It is more like a Clothes Rollatini than a Clothes Lasagna.
Wow- thank you for that tip. I miss the cloth bags on Royal. I could pack so much in them.
Genius! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the clothed lasagna trick for the laundry bag. We always do the wash & fold special but never get so much in the bag. I saw your video for packing.
Very impressive and have never seen this before. Thanks Morgan!❤❤❤
Fabulous! I used it and it worked like a charm! Thank you!!!
Life changing!
What a great hack!
I am stunned! Excellent tip!!
Oh My!
I used to roll each piece super tight. Your way is better. Thanks.
Love this video!! Thanks this is my first time seeing a video like this ❤
Wow amazing we get a free laundry because of our status and depending on the length of cruise we are so doing this I have watched it a few times will practice even in suitcase packing thanks for the demo
Thanks! Great tip!
This was totally brilliant. Our status gives us a free bag on Celebrity and we always did the stuff and jam method. This is way better. Can't thank you enough for saving us tons of money but not having to do a second bag.
We will be heading to Alaska on our first cruise in a couple of weeks and will be using this lasagna trick.
Wonderful tip Morgan. Thanks so much.
Awesome idea. Great video
Great tip! I will be using it from now on. My husband always likes to get his clothes washed before coming home from a cruise. That will definitely be useful.
FANTASTIC .. im going on a Royal cruiuse in September ...THANKYOU !!!
Thanks for the tip...will definitely give it a try on our October transatlantic cruise.
Just goes to show you can teach an old sea dog new tricks! I thought I was good and loading the laundry bag but I don't hold a candle to your method. Thanks for the hack.
I’m glad I could help!
Fantastic tip! Thanks.
I personally hate buffets so that’s a no brainer. Main Dining room for the win. It’s the classic cruise dining experience and service is always wonderful. There’s also the quick service restaurants by the pool which are always open by 11 or 12 on embarkation day. Loco Fresh on Royal is a safe bet for a light lunch.
Great idea!
Brilliant! Will try on our upcoming B2B cruise in the Med.
This is a fantastic tip... I heard of it but never saw it live.. Thank you for the video :)
That was awesome!
Love the trick!
Excellent 🎉
Now - if Morgan could teach the cruise lines to NOT shrink our clothes, he would be a true magician!! I have had too many outfits turned into ‘children’s clothes’ in the ship’s laundry - so sadly - no ship’s laundry for me unless I can use a launderette like on Princess or HAL.
This is really a real hack!
Glad to help, Sean!
❤❤❤Lasagna !!! LOVE IT😊 Will use it soon on NCL Viva. TKS to share 😎
You are a genius!! The clothes lasagne is my new go-to technique! Thank you!!!
Absolutely brilliant! Thanks for the tip. Lately, we tend to take longer cruises (14 days +/-). So we usually only book cruise ships with self-serve laundromats on board.
That is awesome! I ran into that exact same problem aboard princess when they gave you the same Cincy thin small bag to put a huge pile of laundry in😂😂😂
Tres cool!
Great tip!! Will try this technique when we pack next week for our next cruise or if we need to do laundry. Alaska on Celebrity Solstice 😊
That is amazing Morgan 👏, I will do that next time lol.
Very nice! Thank you👍
I just realized that with the last laundry bag I did it similarly.
Starting off with the classical rolling of separate things on earlier cruises (where I also could fit in an incredibIe amount of things) I did "one big, much flatter roll" on the last RCL cruise and managed to get 38 items in.
Several Jeans, Shirts, pj, underwear, socks.
Short of vacuum packing this is a GREAT tip. I especially like using this for return {sad face} packing. Pro tip - dirty clothes are weigh more than clean clothes. A lot more. By getting laundry service right before debarking you may save yourself an overweight charge from the airlines and the trauma of returning home won't be so bad since your laundry is already done. You spent Thousand$$$$ on your vacation spend $35-$70 to give yourself the "clean clothes on return" experience. money well spent.
Great tip!
You are a true genius Morgan! 😊
I love you even more now that I know you play PB!
That was magic. I need this in my life.
Amazing
Genius, I love it thank you
That's brilliant thanks Morgan!! I'll definitely be developing that skill for our next cruise.
I’ve seen you do this before but this time I paid close attention. I’ll be using this for packing my dirty clothes to bring back home and if I ever pay for laundry on vacation. Thanks for showing it again…not sure why I was so confused about it before. 🤷🏽♀️ 😆
I thought of you in Quebec, Canada, we stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, the bathroom is Morgan approved! LOL, BTW, loved the way you folded all the clothes, we’ll be spending 21 days cruising in Europe and definitely will be using your Lasagna’s method, THANK YOU!
That is FABULOUS!
Morgan, I always fold the laundry before putting it in the bag and it does the same as your trick - just as individual items as opposed to one "ball". I have easily gotten up to 46 items in a bag!
Nice trick Morgan. I think we will try it on our next cruise ( Brilliance in Alaska )
FYI you could have dumped out the bag, re-fluffed the clothes and demonstrated how they didn't fit in the bag after showing your magic trick.
Great to see a video by you! Hope you are well Morgan and living a great life! 😊😊
Wow, I have never seen that before.Thank you. Even though we get free laundry we don't like to send it out on a daily basis. This will certainly help. Yhanks again.I have never seen that before in any of the Hundreds of cruise videos that I have watched..
What a wonderful idea. Thanks!
I'm going on a TA in December and will DEFINITELY use this hack - thank you!!
Great idea Morgan thanks.
That's great thanks.
Great video Morgan. We never used on-board laundry. We may try it next cruise. Thanks 👍
GENIUS !!! Excellent tip for maximizing the bag. :)
We’re going on a 14-day cruise in October. Definitely doing this. Thank You!
Great tip.....love it
That, was brilliant. I will try this in October.
Amazing, I need to pack like this!!
I'm glad I could help! Where is your next trip taking you?
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides I’m planning on going to Japan, the less luggage the better… more room to bring back souvenirs 😊. I love your videos!
Brilliant. I'm trying this.
I've seen this from you before and I was *still* surprised you made it all fit!
Wow impressive! I will have to remember this
This is awesome Morgan. I want to do a carryon for Alaska and thought of doing laundry once onboard.
Thanks for the laundry tip.
Outstanding!!!😊
We can't wait to have dirty laundry on our cruise so we can try!!
I have seen instructions for packing like that. It really works well.
You just fold in the cheese
This may change the way I pack too!
I turn platinum on Carnival in February will have to use this trick when I get my free laundry service.
Such a great hack! I always rip the darn bag…. Next time it’ll be lasagne 😂
Your method is even better than mine.
I either first saw it from you or The Points Guy Brian Kelly first. Usually for the ship Laundry bags, I usually roll my clothes in to Hot dogs to cramp everything in and it works really well.
We roll our dirty clothes and it always cracks me up when they return TWO bags of clothes. Also, we use strapping tape around the top edge to prevent ripping. Make sure you know the last day you can submit laundry, I missed it on our last cruise
Good Evening Morgan
That was a great tip 👍
Hello Captain Morgan🙋♀️ the minute you showed us 'the clothes lasagna', I remember seeing this hack from you before ... nice reminder😅
Also good reminder to make a list of your items😅
Celebrity has a benefit for Elite class... one bag... this will come in handy. As a note.. I bring garbage bags to hold dirty laundry... if I don't get any cleaned on the ship... I pack one suitcase with the dirty... and the second with the cleaner... if there is a lot of dirty and it needs to spill over to the clean case.. I place a garbage bag to separate the cleaner from the dirty.. makes it easier when I get home to identify items to go into the laundry
Never seen the clothes lasagna before- unbelievable
Now that's a great idea. I can use that truck when packing my carryon
Genius! ❤
Never saw this, but will use this on my longer cruises.
We have been doing the clothes lasagna for a few years!
Wow!
Cool!
Brilliant!... ;)
Amazing! Laundry lasagna! 👍👍
I prefer Princess and Carnival because they have laundromats.
Lasagna for the win at dinner time and for disembarkation. 😂
