Two years ago, I bought the 'Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?' DVD boxed set in that cool cardboard Mystery Machine packaging and I would've bought it sooner if it hadn't been for those meddling kids... ;)
I just bought this on dvd recently lol. This one is definitely my favorite Scooby Doo series as it had a much for "spooky" as you will atmosphere and the animation was to my liking. Great vid sir!
Casey Kasem was one of my favorite voice actors from this show. I even liked him for his other voice works; Hot Wheels cartoon, Josie and the Pussycats, Battle of the Planets (the first English dub version of Gatchaman), the early Batman cartoons, Cliffjumper from Transformers, you name it. I also liked him for his radio countdown shows prior to both his retirement, and sadly, his death that came afterwards. ...I miss him, ...and I only wish I had met, and known him. ...oh. did I forget to mention his radio cameo in 1984 Ghostbusters movie?
Casey Kasem was a legend, and one of the voices I remember growing up hearing in so many wonderful cartoons, and the countdown shows you mentioned. He is definitely missed.
@@zaranyzerak yeah also I had no idea he made an appearance in the 1984 ghost busters movie I'll have to see that sence if there's a copy of it on UA-cam
Man, I always dig your Halloween set ups. In any case, I have that same Mystery cardboard Van as well. Looking forward to seeing this video, watching now.
Just picked up the blu-ray set. $38 on Amazon. I remember watching Scooby Doo in the Summer of 1996 when it aired on TNT. There was something about the show that I really liked. But I haven't watched it since then. So I look forward to re-watching it after all this time. Maybe seeing what I can remember and what I liked about it.
Nice video I have the complete series of Scooby doo where are you Scooby doo is one of my favorite Hanna barbera cartoons granted the show can get repetitive after a while but what makes the show work so well is the use of world building and the banter between each gang member plus you gotta love the memes especially the shaggy memes where’s he’s the most powerful anime god While not as exploration heavy as the flintstones, the jetsons, top cat, the smurfs, or others it still works as a show for multiple reasons than one I used to watch this show all the time when it was on Cartoon Network
Scooby Doo is A great set there is Scooby Doo The Mystery begins and another Actor Matthew Lillard in 2 live Action and Animations and 2 other ones with WWE Stars
On the last week on this coming December will be 5 years since i received the Mystery Machine box set which i love. The Blu-ray set is really great. This month will be 55 years since it's original Television release. Thank you for this great review.
I would've loved a regular mini Scooby-Doo figure instead of the funko pop. I know some people love them, but a lot more think they're ugly. Either way, not a deal breaker, still going to get it. Thanks for the video because the internet pics doesn't really tell you what the mansion and the van really look like. Thanks to you i made my mind and getting the mansion for sure,.
I only have the release with the cardboard version of the mystery machine I got it as a Christmas gift in 2016 I recently watched it this year but I forgot how far I got on it but I hope to rewatch the rest of the series soon
I have Scooby-Doo Where Are You! The Complete Series DVD but the one I have is the 2018 reissue and the menus are the same because that from the Hanna Barbera Golden Collection DVD.
I was hoping you would get to this one! Every time I see these in the background I get super jealous! I highly doubt that the bitrate is lower than streaming. Blu-ray is typically literally 10x the bitrate of streaming. Even with the number of episodes per disc, they wouldn't need to lower it that much.

I hope more series come to Blu-Ray too. Sadly all the newer Scooby Movies are being released digital HD or DVD, no more Blu-Ray.
Was wondering if the blu ray quality is worth upgrading over the dvds? What do you think?
Definitely. The added detail in the gorgeous painted backgrounds alone is worth the upgrade.
Great video thank you. May I please ask what the difference in picture quality is between the DVD and Blu-ray versions?
Oh man you just got another subscriber
Scooby-Doo
With that dvd set you can take those inner bumpers out and store other scooby DVD’s in their, I have #19091 of the limited blu ray sets

Nice video brother! Gave u a sub!
Appreciate it!🙂
Do you have Scooby doo on zombie island Sean ?
Are there any visual alterations for it being on bluray? Remastered? Or is it the same as the dvd quality?
It's remastered, looks great. They have pristine film prints of every episode.
Is the whole scooby doo image on full screen?
Yes it is, it's all in the original 4:3 aspect ratio.
Um... You skip over seasons 1 & 2 disc 4 and season 3 disc 1 on the 4:22 mark.
Oh yeah, guess the trays must have been stuck together and I didn't notice. Oh well, too late now.
Nice
I hate it when they don't port over the extras from the DVD to the blu-ray.
I'll have to check my set again but I think they do. The back of the package only lists the new features for the Blu-ray set
Is the mansion edition exclusively in Blu Ray? I'm guessing it is.
Yes, it's only a Blu-ray set. The DVD sets were two versions of the Mystery Machine which I showed, otherwise just basic keepcases for most releases
