Well dangit, I made a wee mistake - Yes, Adam West is Batman in the two Super Friends shows I mentioned, but it's actually Casey Kasem as Robin in both of them, not Burt Ward. Oopsie! And for those wondering why I didn't include "Return to the Batcave, " it's because I don't have it, and it's actually Adam and Burt as themselves, not as Batman and Robin. This is specifically for shows/movies in which they appeared in character as the Dynamic Duo in a "proper" story. While Return to the Batcave is certainly a fun retrospective tongue in cheek doc about the series, it doesn't really fit in with what I was doing with this video. To go into every documentary or "non-canonical" appearance of both of them would have gone far beyond the intended scope of this video. Hope this clarifies.

They were unable to clear all the home video rights for the Batman ‘66 series until 2014! If they could have released this series to DVD in 2004 - the “salad days” of physical media collecting - all the rights holders would have easily quadrupled their money! A hearty “thumbs down” to the Dozier estate, 20th Century Fox, George Barris and his Batmobile, and the estates of all the celebrities included in the “climb the wall” cameos, who collectively conspired to keep this series out of the hands of the fans for literally decades!! Oh, thanks for the great review! I purchased the regular Blu-ray set as well. I also eagerly scooped up “The Return of the Caped Crusaders” - which was a blast - as well as the “Two Face” movie. There is no telling how many more of these “Batman ‘66” movies we could have gotten if the home video rights could have been cleared sooner.

In the UK we had Black and White TV's well into the 70s so saw this show in b+w first and when I saw in colour it like watching a new show all over again 😁
Great Adam West era collection. I was first exposed to this series when they used to rerun this series on either "Fox" or "The Family Channel" when I was a kid in the early 90's (I was born in 1988). It wasn't until I was in Middle School I saw the show again on the "SciFi Channel" that I saw the show again. Its such an awesome campy series. Also really loved the animated movies, I thought they were great continuations of the series, especially since one of them tackled a concept that was scrapped due to the villain being "Gruesome", that being "Two-Face". Hope you get to watching that movie soon, and also hope you get "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians" DVD sometime, I found out that that show was the first to show the death of Bruce Wayne's Parents in an episode called "The Fear".
That episode was amazing; and it was very fitting that Adam got to voice Batman and Bruce for that episode given its serious tone and that was a direction the 60s live action rarely went (mainly in the first season).
Yes, Adam West guest appeared in several episodes. It would be far beyond the scope of this video to enumerate every single guest appearance he did over the years. This is just about the main stuff, and even more specifically what I have in my collection. I cover this in the pinned comment. (Though I do have the Simpsons Season 14 DVD set that has that episode)
So, there are words like *WHAM!* and maybe *BANG!* somewhere in the series. I betcha there's no "SHAN-A LANG" in ANY episodes... No, "Sha-La-La-La" thing either! BUT, we do have the *BATUSI!*

Met Adam West at a car show in the mid-80s. There were two Barris Batmobiles on display wearing their bat-fuzz to hide the stress cracks. Poor Mr. West was there, signing autographs, dressed in his TV bat-suit.
From what I understand, Eastwood didn't get to be Two-Face was because the show got cancelled. As for Return to the Batcave, the DVD is still readily available on eBay.

I ended up getting the Italian blu-ray TV set from the Italian Amazon. It was on sale for under £20 delivered, and at the time the UK release was over 2x that price. Apart from the j-card stuck on the back of the box, the Italian set is entirely in English, including the booklet. The discs even have the UK ratings on them, so Warner Bros probably just produced one set for Europe and slapped the respective language j-cards on the back. Being a WB release, the discs are region free so put a price tracker on the Italian Amazon listing and it could be had cheap.
Just to add to this as well as the standard English audio and other languages etc the set has hidden Japanese voices and Japanese subtitles if you want to immerse your Japanese learning. Just need to set your blu Ray player language to Japanese ( eg on ps4 set blu Ray language to Japanese). My favorite villain so far is Mad Hatter.
