I was in my late 20s then, there were a ton of channels doing entertainment or hip hop news, but what sort of made him stand out to me back then was how well he broke down what was going on. He was young and his narration wasn't bad, he didn't sound like some kid mouthing off giving his opinion or just repeating what the moment was. He'd add details to the story of a viral video was up. I'll give AK this, if you go back to his early days, he didn't deviate much. He found his voice and space early on. I stopped watching some time in like 16 or 17 before Everyday Struggle. I wouldn't blame AK for this, but hip hop was turning into a circus. Did I think he'd get this big? No of course not. As much as I liked his channel, I didn't think he was that special. But his audience grew so big so fast, by the time he started getting the corporate money, I wasn't surprised either. He didn't flame out like some others did.
