@@Rl-jd8lh I can't remember exactly what first made me watch his channel. I was in my late 20s then, there were a ton of channels doing entertainment or hip hop news, but what sort of made him stand out to me back then was how well he broke down what was going on. He was young and his narration wasn't bad, he didn't sound like some kid mouthing off giving his opinion or just repeating what the moment was. He'd add details to the story of a viral video was up. I'll give AK this, if you go back to his early days, he didn't deviate much. He found his voice and space early on. I stopped watching some time in like 16 or 17 before Everyday Struggle. I wouldn't blame AK for this, but hip hop was turning into a circus.
Did I think he'd get this big? No of course not. As much as I liked his channel, I didn't think he was that special. But his audience grew so big so fast, by the time he started getting the corporate money, I wasn't surprised either. He didn't flame out like some others did.

@@Rl-jd8lh I'd have to say it was his consistency. But something else I'd add,, his presentation fit his narration style. He wouldn't plaster himself on his videos either early on. They wouldn't be this long audio with him in front of the mic.
He wasn't lying when he said he'd be one of the first to post his videos either. If I saw something trending on IG or anywhere else, I knew AK would probably already have something or release it within a few hours. I probably stopped watching his channel right around Everyday Struggle If I remember. But I think I was just outgrowing this phase in hip hop. 😅. I'm stuck in anything pre 2015.
