I found one just like that today clearing some brush on my brother's property. It seems to be in pretty good shape. Would like any and all information on it if possible.
Robert Young These things are indestructible. I still use one that my grandad bought in the ‘60s. It looks like shit, but runs as quietly as the day it left the factory. That’s why Howard are out of business of course.
@@jamesblade6684 I'm glad to hear that, with everything built today being recyclable no one makes stuff to stand the test of time. Thanks for the response James.
Robert Young I currently use a 90hp John Deere 3040, which doesn’t know it’s there, but we originally used it behind a 45hp IH 434 and then a 70hp Leyland 270 or a 78hp JD 2130. A friend’s MF 35 wasn’t big enough, so l’d reckon you need at least 50hp realistically
@@jamesblade6684 thanks for the heads up on the hp I will need. I won't be using it in the field only doing garden spots. It's a little overkill for that but it wont be rusting away in the woods.
Have you had to replace your joints for the PTO shaft? I have one that's gone bad and am having issues locating the right one.

@@jamesblade6684 p.s. I need a bigger tractor. My little Kabota l175 wouldn't pick it up if the ground. Hopefully getting a bigger one next year.
