She let Hogan, Bischoff, and Russo ruin her company. She really could've saved it, and had good ideas...but she fucked up.
I was front row at the TNA event where dixie went through a table and have a small chip from it
.if i had a sick mother and 8 million dollars I would give you 8 million dollars and a bottle of NyQuil for that chip
dude seriously it’s still to this day one of the most satisfying things i’ve ever seen
@@girlsnotblue3804 I dont get what the sick mother has to do
Small chip?
@@ironspyder-db8fd Assume it means a little piece of the table from when it broke.
Unless guy kept a Dorito he found at a TNA show...
i love that samoa joe has his camera out when dixie carter went through the table
I actually liked Dixie as a on screen authority figure. Yeah she wasn’t good behind the scenes, but I thought she did a good job in this role for someone with no acting experience as far as I knew.
Agree
She was awful. She had no screen presence or charisma.
I have to respectfully disagree. She was trying way too hard to be Stephanie McMahon 2.0.
Yeah, I have to greatly disagree as well. She’s has the charisma of a wet dish rag.
she was just a carbon copy of the Authority in WWE
I had no idea Dixie Carter had been in TNA since its creation. All I know is that she’s a horrible executive.
Hot take: Dixie wasn't the worst onscreen character. Between than seeing Hogan undermine everything about TNA as a brand.
Dixie is the reason Hogan came to TNA in the first place. She may not be the worse on screen character in wrestling but she is the biggest reason why TNA went downhill
I hope you cover the global force pro wrestling invasion one day.
Jeff Jarrett put it best: I was in it to be profitable and offer an alternative to WWE. Dixie wanted to top WWE, which was impossible.
More like the day spike tv died. Like seriously who the fuck still watches spike tv? Who the fuck today even knows what spike tv is? TNA even with all of Dixies mistakes, was still pulling in 1.1 to 1.3 million viewers a week, and was one of it not THE most watched show on spike tv and they dropped it over petty beef with Russo and essential killed their own tv channel by thinking ANYONE would tune in to storage wars or pawn stars over TNA.
The Rise of Dixie Carter. She had money. That's it.
I still remember seeing Dixie going through the table live that those tapings, such a satisfying moment
For some reason i can't find myself to hate her, despite all the bad decisions. She still seems like a decent person at least.
I read somewhere that she would cheat on her husband with the talent. Not sure if that eliminates her from being a decent person, but that sucks if true lol.
I want to believe she's a decent person, but I really can't after learning about how dirty she did both AJ Styles and Jesse Sorenson (among many others).
I just watched a clip that featured Angelina Love and she states at first Dixie was really sweet, she ask how’s your family and how’s your boyfriend, all that crap. But as time kept going on, she started drinking backstage and treated everyone like they were beneath her.
I mean I suppose you could take that with a grain of salt, but since we’ve heard other unflattering stories about Dixie. Well makes you think, essentially she’s not a very decent person.
@@Musiclover19 I saw that interview from the way it’s sounds it’s sounded like a spoiled rich girl sees the company as a big toy to play with
People who hate Vince Russo are marks the man has been apart of best eras of modern wrestling
Hiring Vince Russo was the death knell of TNA. Even more so than the hiring of Bishoff and Hogan. Well to put Hogan in charge of anything is pretty dumb. Id probably still do her tho...
Ok, I haven't watched the full video yet, but I'm gonna go ahead and be that guy.
When we getting The Rise and Fall of Tessa Blanchard?
Once she is 50+ years old and her career is over
Tessa Blanchard has had no where near a "fall" yet.
He just uploaded the video about it.
I used to love TNA up till 2010
Dixie almost lead tna/impact to failure because of trusting the wrong people.Looking at Impact now they need to make stars fast to stay alive now.if dixie would of pushed the young guy they mite of not been in this problem at all.
Dixie Carter made had done some good things of the early days of TNA but she screwed up when she became a heel authority figure
Dixie should've kept Jim Cornette and fired Russo.
“That’s my championship belt” (Dixie voice)
where can i watch old tna episodes from 2005 or so?
Awhile back iTunes had them for sale like 2.99 per episode and by awhile back i mean like 07 or 08
For me did tna died long ago and all that's left is the " impact " it left behind but.... impact is it's own thing that is slowly building itself up better and better so looking at this cup half full not half empty lol 😎🤘🙏
Say what you want about Dixie, she cared about the company whether her intentions were good or it was just a vanity project for her, she could have let it die but didn't.
thank you for this video!!!! 😁
Yup she had a real fall at the end
The only thing i can take from the Claire Lynch storyline...granted it was dropped so maybe had it run course things would've been very different so either way what happens after: AJ felt betrayed by bad Influence and became that loner who was unsure heel/face. That sent him thru that no one persona, which became a mix of aj when he went for the world title winning it etc etc. And kaz Daniels were such a good heel team. So maybe 2 things good came from claire Lynch lol.
I like your other background music better this one isn’t hitting
Nutted
Henry Juszkeiwicz "saved" Gibson from going out of business back in the 1980s, but that doesn't mean he didn't drive the company into the ground afterwards with his poor decision making and shouldn't be crucified for that. At least it took him a lot longer to tank Gibson than it took Dixie to tank TNA/Impact. But yeah, they BOTH managed to screw up a Tennessee-based company that was already on a downward trajectory.
So yeah, fuck Dixie, and I don't mean the way Kevin Nash did.
I Will Love See Anthem Sports & Entertainment should do a DVD on The Rise of Impact Wrestling and Fall of TNA Wrestling That Good Idea of Title name.
Due to this video, I have learned that Dixie Carter is related to Duncan from PJ & Duncan.
Dixie Carter was getting higher viewership than Tony conman and triple noseman. That makes her better than them both
*TNA is a tragic tale. They had everything they needed to be a legitimate contender to Vince's House of Winces, but poor leadership all around buried them.*
4:55 😂
She found out she was Dec from Ant and Dec’s Cousin 😅
It looks like Dixie has a 'lazy eye'. I'm not making fun of her, because I have one too. Just an observation.
If anyone wants to learn more about the Lynch storyline, Brian Zane did a video on it if you want to check that out.
Oh, and keep up the good work. Good to see someone who covers TNA fairly.
I love how your pumping out content but dont burn yourself out
Ahhhh more crapping on TNA.
"Are you mad, No, go ahead, fire me, I don't care."
TNA could've been so much more
In fact she's the most successful wrestling promoter outside of WWE in the last 20 years.
Agreed. Shes better than tony conman and triple noseman because she had higher viewership than them both
Hogan was the worst thing for TNA not Dixie Hogan always out himself over the company n his fellow wrestler when Hogan showed up I knew it was over he turned it into a reality show
More like the Fall and Crawl of Dixie Carter.
How many tables did she go through
Not enough.
I would "travel" down on...errr I mean down to Dixie any time!
Change your name to something with TNA Involved
dixie carter was tna savoiur and heel
Claire Lynch was the Katie Vick of TNA. Maybe Claire wasn't as cringe offensive but still awful.
Dixie had a rise?..
No
Shes the most successful promoter outside the WWE since WCW
@@TheeIdol Yeah, she got her show kicked off TWO networks in the span of a year..now that is success.
@@American-Zero facts are facts. She had more viewership than Tony conman and triple noseman
@@TheeIdol oooh so original with the names..you must have stayed up all night coming up with them. If she's so successful how come she's no longer in the wrestling picture? Exactly. HHH and TK are still here while she's gone. Stop reaching.
I met Dixie at Victory Road 2012, she was lovely.
When did Dixie Carter rise. 😂😂
She never rised
She was getting higher viewership than tony conman and triple noseman so she is better than them both
I love Dixie
Don't worry bout the Claire Lynch angle, Brian Zane did it for you
TNA/Impact Wrestling got ruined by Dixie Carter and TNA/Impact Wrestling has completely changed over the years after Dixie left the company.
How can you say that nobody wanted to see her if you can still make videos about her that draw a lot of viewers to your channel years after Dixie left the wrestling business? You are right about one thing. She is a very controversial person. That is exactly what the wrestling business is all about. Bring characters to the screen in which people invest emotionally. Everyone wanted to see her. Some because they loved her, others because they wanted to talk shit about her.
It makes perfect sense to fire the one who is responsible for something the fans are not happy with. When the fans chanted "Fire Russo", they were dissatisfied with what was happening in the ring at that moment. Then how would it made sense to fire Russo when someone else was responsible for that?
And forget the tale with Russo and Spike. In the months before Spike and TNA parted ways Dixie mentioned in several interviews that she was not happy with some guidelines in the current Spike TV deal. TNA had great success in the UK TV market with several shows. In the US, they only had 2 hours a week. That was definitely not enough to keep up with the market given the huge investments they had made previously. Dixie wanted changes and Spike TV was not ready to go with them. In addition, Spike TV had been cancelled from several cable networks a few months earlier, so that they had some problems themselves at the time. These are several indications why the deal was not been renewed. They couldn't come to an agreement In the negotiations. Those things happen in business life. Panda Energy also got out at that time. They got into trouble on the Texas electricity market in the years 12/13. Maybe thats why they were not able to support TNA any longer.
And cousin to I think Dec of ant and fame, its true its true
Has she been forced to change her first name yet?
Dixie Carter was iconic
She never rised, Top10
Ummmmm. No way she was born in 64. She was looking over 50 like 15 years ago. It may state it as a fact online but there's no way it's true.
You skipped over WAY too much
Question: What do Dixie Carter & Eric Bischoff have in common?
Answer: They'd both be better for wrestling if they were fed in to an Industrial Meat Grinder, While Still Alive!
JMHO, 😎
