Fun fact about the Clap choreography. At 34:32 when Wonwoo grabs someone to clap with him, he chooses a person nearby at random every time they perform it, so no one knows when it will be their turn.
Don't Wanna Cry was their first real commercial success, and you can definitely see how their MV production quality went up massively for Clap. The Clap MV is probably my favourite MV along with Homerun. I just love how colourful and vibrant it is.
the clap choreo is one of my favourites bc it has so many cute easter eggs and facts about it !! for one, the people who centre the start of each of the choruses are the leaders (hoshi, s.coups, woozi) along with the fact that they purposefully made this choreography so that carats could join in with the clapping. not to mention it changes a lot depending on when and where they're performing. in the second chorus, wonwoo changes who he picks to clap with him, so it could be any of them and we never know who he's gonna choose .. and then in the final chorus when vernon does a move and they all follow him , he changes that move in lots of performances and they all just have to follow what he does (and he doesn't tell them what the move is gonna be, sometimes it's goofy and sometimes it's needlessly tiring and complex and the members complain - lovingly of course).. it's literally one of my favourite choreos and im glad you enjoyed it too !! ❤️
fun fact! between Don't Wanna Cry and Clap, there was actually another song called Without You as the 'bridge' of transition from those other two songs. so, Don't Wanna Cry- Without You- Clap. and the ending pose of Don't Wanna Cry's choreography is the opening pose of Without You. and the ending pose of Without You is the opening pose for Clap. maybe if you guys are curious about it, there's a special choreography video for Without You. and as always, love you guys reaction! 😊
I was about to comment this too! It would be fun to watch the lyric video for "Without You" and then watch the choreography video.. And then, I know they have performed Don't Wanna Cry+Without You+Clap live as the choreo connects with one another. And of course, the lyrics of all 3 songs as well transions fron each other.. So excited for your next SVT reaction ❤❤
Slightly related to this, in terms of messaging, DWC, Without You, and the b-side "Lie Again" are also songs that connect to each other in terms of the story/message DWC wants to portray. Lie Again literally reuses a line from DWC (I won't say what so that you'll have a surprise when you ever get to it) and Lie Again is the opposite POV of the persona in DWC - the one who left vs the one yearning.
@@NewChapterReactions I was so confused, I thought they were like some random synchro dance group and the mv was like a commercial or something, I had no idea what I was getting into XD
After leaving kpop for a while , Seventeen was the first group I fell in love with once I got back , I am a multistan and Seventeen is one of my ult groups , Dont wanna cry and clap are both my fav songs, Clap was totally scoups era, and thats when I finally chose my main bias in seventeen along with 3 others , Btw love you two, thank you for getting into diamond world 🩵💚💙🩶🍀
Don't Wanna Cry is my introduction to Seventeen and Clap is like a Aju Nice 2.0. FYI, there's a video of SVT dancing Don't Wanna Cry Speed 2X on Weekly Idol and it's very insanely synchronized. * Vernon's last part verse, there's a compilation of him freestyle dancing on every live shows Can't wait for the comeback next week 😊
Funny think about Clap: the intro "Baksu" is now even more related to Jooheon from Monsta X because he was a trainer in a produce 101 show and a trainee had a hard time putting emotion while singing that part so Jooheon was screaming it. His members would forever taunt him and we fans did too (i remember at the 2019 concert in Madrid 😂)
"Clap" MV is one of many occasions where they play with the idea of being the "self-producing group" and that carries into how they prepared their "Clap" dance practice as well. The MV is basically making sets, filming, and editing MV's, so you can find many hints of other MV's in this one such as "Change Up", "Trauma", "Lilili Yabbay", "Pinwheel", "Mansae", and maybe more. My favorite easter egg is their impressed/surprised faces at 27:20 where you can see the set idea for "Change Up" on the bottom, and "Trauma" on top that you never see in those 2 MV's. Other MV's that have similar "self-producing"/"DIY"/"behind the scene" theme are "Thanks", "Pretty-U" (throwing a party themselves), "Boomboom" (creating an elaborate heist), filming and editing their own MV's for "Holiday" (by Wonwoo) and "Snap Shoot" (by Mingyu), "Happy Ending". Am I missing anything else, Carats?
Oh my god I forgot how much the Clap choreo is amazing, honestly this made me want to revisit some of their Clap music show stages cuz they crush this performance 😆🕺
Seventeen are so versatile. Each year they will give us few different kind of genre and concept. They nailed each concept. The charisma and emotion they portrayed always captivating. Btw love your reaction as always🤭✨
I read somewhere that vernon's verse in clap was inspired from a drama where the protagonist says the exact same nonsense spell whenever he is in a difficult situation. Also Bri's reaction to jun at 8:06 is just so me. Thanks guys for the reaction.
Dont Wanna Cry 2x speed is what made me into a Carat. 13 members dancing crazily, intricately in sync to a slow song, was just so mesmerizing, i just had to know who these guys are. and ever since then, im just constantly amazed with every comeback ever since. Like Seventeen is the only group i would preorder their album without hearing anything at first because theyve never miss. im till not bored somehow, after 6 years.
Their choreographies are so good, they never disappoint! Can’t wait for Ready To Love and Fallin’ Flower dance practice reactions! Those are my favorite choreos! And my all time favorite, Rock With You! 😊
Clap was my introduction to SVT and one of my first kpop songs in general in 2017, I remember being so shocked at how many members there were in a group and how they all had a part in the song and they all danced together so synchronized. It actually took me abt a year to really get into them and become a carat bc i was just too scared of getting someone wrong back then with so many ppl to memorize 😅

I love Don't Wanna Cry dance practice, I can't help myself but danced to the beginning of the song😅. And Clap is another song that gives energy right off the bat.
I hope you watch their performance at KBS music festival 2017.. Coz Mingyu playing the electric guitar as Clap's intro and Woozi playing the drums for Boom Boom's intro just makes those songs 10 times better!!
Wow we already are at Don't wanna cry and Baksu! There's just something in their songs, leaving you amazed no matter how many times you watch it. Also reaction for Scoups at 26:53, valid.
im so sad that the reaction had to end 😭😭😭 the dwc dance practice reminded me of their part switch choreos where they try to steal each other's center parts. its so funny 🤣
I always credit Clap as the song that got me into Seventeen and, your reaction did not disappoint! Honestly still think it's one of my favourite title tracks from them. Oh also, there's a tonne of references to previous mvs the Clap mv! Both group and unit mvs.
As someone else pointed out in another comment, the scenes in "Clap" have "easter eggs" from all of their previous videos. You just have to slow it waaaaay down to catch them all. Somewhere on YT there's an interview with Seventeen discussing all of the many "eggs" and where to find them. :)
Omgy you should react also to their "Without You" choreo... and the lyrics of that is 🤌🏻❤ Fun fact: The intro step in Without You is the continuation of the last pose of Don't wanna cry and at the end of Without You is the intro step in Clap 😊

If you REALLY wanna cry(Tori), listen to their song Circles. lol Woozi wrote it for fans and for Wonwoo, one of the members who lost his mother in I think April 2022.
@@NewChapterReactions haha it’s such a pretty song though! Woozi is a genius and writes the most beautiful songs. I think when you did the guide, on Woozi’s part when it had tiny pieces of his songs, Circles I think was one of them.

hello! i was just wondering what your plans are for the SVT comeback coming up on Monday Oct 23rd? I know you guys do SVT uploads every Thursdays with title track/dance practice reactions etc so i was just curious. Will you guys watch the new comeback the day of release or make it the Thursday upload instead? or mayhaps a whole album listen?? :p lmao also i really truly enjoy your guys’ reactions and reaction style, ur both sooo chill and i like chill. super glad i came across your channel since i look forward to your SVT reactions every week haha 🫶
So next week we plan on reacting to and dropping their new MV as soon as we can! The album listen will come after. We will probably try and work that in next week as well it just depends on our work schedules. Thank you so much 🥺❤💙
really love your reactions I laugh whenever you guys are in that shock wonderful I wanna recommend you guys to react to lonely stars by seungkwan and yeah new subscriber
am a bit late subscribing but am really enjoying your reactions to seventeen music, choreo and mv. fun fact: clap mv was made to pay 'homage' to their previous mvs. seventeen reacted to the clap mv & broke down or pointed out the small details that were added in the mv. it was actually fun watching them enjoying & being proud of their work. here's the subbed video of their reaction to clap mv ua-cam.com/video/MTdSMhGnByY/v-deo.htmlsi=xEjUHjptLCEmlpHq
You're watching all MV's in order no? There are 2 MV's from the same album as "Don't Wanna Cry" called "Check-in" and "My I" that you might have missed? And a whole bunch of other MV's from the same album as "Clap" as well
Yeah there are a lot of unit and team MVs that we still have to get to. We are working our way through the full member MVs currently. We might see if we can do units/teams/solos in their own separate reactions depending on how much YT will let us upload at once without blocking us. Either way we will definitely get to them all ❤
theres two different version of clap, one where theres more lines right after the mini dance break and the og version. seventeen is so in sync that during one performance, they all moved to the choreo of the altered version but the og song played instead and they all were collectively confused and embarassed
Fun fact about the Clap choreography. At 34:32 when Wonwoo grabs someone to clap with him, he chooses a person nearby at random every time they perform it, so no one knows when it will be their turn.

If you REALLY wanna cry(Tori), listen to their song Circles. lol Woozi wrote it for fans and for Wonwoo, one of the members who lost his mother in I think April 2022.
Oh no that might actually ruin me 😭😭Bri would be an absolute MESS
@@NewChapterReactions haha it’s such a pretty song though! Woozi is a genius and writes the most beautiful songs. I think when you did the guide, on Woozi’s part when it had tiny pieces of his songs, Circles I think was one of them.
I didn't know abt this channel when you both discovered enhypen and that's sad ㅠ_ㅠ
But i'm here when you both are trying to discover seventeen that's good lol🙃

For me, boy group performance goes to Seventeen. As for the performance of the girl group No one can compete with GFriend. Even though they were disbanded
hello! i was just wondering what your plans are for the SVT comeback coming up on Monday Oct 23rd?

THE SWIVELING 😂😂!❤❤
really love your reactions I laugh whenever you guys are in that shock wonderful I wanna recommend you guys to react to lonely stars by seungkwan and yeah new subscriber
am a bit late subscribing but am really enjoying your reactions to seventeen music, choreo and mv.
fun fact: clap mv was made to pay 'homage' to their previous mvs. seventeen reacted to the clap mv & broke down or pointed out the small details that were added in the mv. it was actually fun watching them enjoying & being proud of their work. here's the subbed video of their reaction to clap mv

Hi, welcome & thank you for joining, so glad you’re enjoying the videos 🥰
Thank you so much for the link and info!
Either way we will definitely get to them all ❤
Dino's "swivel" is out of control and rude. He must be stopped lol
Stop him at all costs 😭
waaahhhh im early
theres two different version of clap, one where theres more lines right after the mini dance break and the og version. seventeen is so in sync that during one performance, they all moved to the choreo of the altered version but the og song played instead and they all were collectively confused and embarassed
❤ always luv ur reacts
❤️❤️❤️❤️
