They key to time was built by the grace who are greater old ones to the great old ones (the guardians) 3. 1 of the gods of ragnarok died to the hands of sutekh 4. The doctor once made a bunch of eternals mortal as punishment 5. The destroyer got ragdolled by sutekh 6. Beings like fenric, the great intelligence, gods of ragnarok are all elder gods, who are als classed as sub guardians of time. 7. The void is hinted at being somewhat sentient (maybe the one who waits, across everything......the darkness) 8. All elder gods existed before the universe but also after 9. The doctors universe is a fictional one to another universe in the multiverse 10. The time lords once fought beings that where authors to the main doctor who universe 👍🙂
Love most of these except for the last two. Would love to see The Guardians again. I always theorised that The Black Guardian is the leader of the Pantheon of Discord.
@@cameronmonaghan6883 take it u don’t like meta fictional type stuff? This is a great video. I've always wanted Sutekh to return. He was the villain in the "Pyramids of Mars", which was the first Doctor Who story I ever saw, way back in 1977.

Fantastic video! This was exactly the content I was hoping someone was going to make going into this new season. I’ve been doing lots of research on Gods in the Whoniverse since RTD has confirmed this new era will be experimenting with and implementing them. Specifically, I’m really excited for Maestro in The Devil’s Chord as RTD has confirmed they are the God of Music.
I am 90% sure that the main villain of s1 is gonna be the Fehndal Few reasons: -The emphasis on salt. In Image of the Fehndal, that's used to kill/fend off the Fehndaleen (the big slug things) -We know there's gonna be big slug things -'The one who waits' sounds very Fehndal - it waited from the dawn of humanity to the 70s to awaken, so an apt moniker -It's a force of pure entropy, which fits with 'Empire of Death'. Also probably powerful enough to scare the toymaker off -I don't have the source on hand but I vaguely remember seeing an article saying that villains from 4 and 7 would be in season one. Grain of salt tho Good video!
No mention of 3rd Doctor story the daemons? Wasn't it the white guardian who took Tom Baker to Skaro? Also no Mara? Great intelligence anyone? The gelf with their using corpse as vehicles could also make for a dark zombie story. Good list though.
I hope it is. It's an organism that is the heart of darkness of all humanity, and, if you have read Simon Bucher-Jones' "Black archive" on "Image of the Fendahl", it's clearly something that isn't going away. Plus, RTD referred to it being a "trick he missed", when he talked about rerunning the original serial on Beeb3 in parallel with a sequal. Definitely deserves another story/arc, worthy of the late, great Chris Boucher
Very well researched and a very eloquent script. Well done I enjoyed this a lot. As a sucker for the 11th Doctor era, I would love to see Akhaten return and expanded.
I was going to say comparing sutekh to Thanos was off but Both named after gods Both members of God like alien species Both eventually are feared, considered mad and cast out by there people Both view death and or destruction as good and take joy in it And both muddy the lines between what is sci Fi and what is fantasy, what is supernatural and what is reality Now I wanna see em fight
I think more references to teh Dark Times of the universe before the web of time was built and timelords established hegemony will be referenced and villains anything between the Racnoss, Great Vampires, Ravenous, Terileptals and Osirans will come up. The Beast came from the universe before, Davapara Yuga in Hinduism but also in DW expanded media, as did the mysterious 'Disciples of Light' and the Doctor (the timeless child)- which Tecteun wanted to explore with him. I think there'll at least be references to the Beast. And Sutekh or Fenric have to return, incredible characters.
I agree with you that Sutekh is the villain that I'd like to see return the most. I always loved Pyramids of Mars, and I feel that he's pretty much the only villain powerful and evil enough to make the Toymaker *not* want to play his game (assuming that The One Who Waits is a returning villain and not something new). I think the only one on this list that I _wouldn't_ be particularly excited to see again is the Destroyer, just because I want the Brigadier to be able to keep that victory; nothing against the character, I just always had a soft spot for the Brigadier.
I really want to see fenric again because of how he was portrayed in the black and white tardis arc and the elder gods appeared along side him so I would love to see the doctor go against the elder gods
Mentioned at the end. I just gathered 10 (mainly Classic Who) that I thought were in with the highest chance of returning. As The Trickster was created by Gareth Roberts, I'm not sure he'd be very willing to allow him to return to Doctor Who so didn't include him here.
I feel like Sutekh's powers were exaggerated somewhat. If he can destroy the entire universe with just a thought, and that was his plan, then why didn't he do it? It is also not clear where his power comes from, and he is meant to be one of a race of many (the Osirans), so why would he have powers that are so much more powerful than everyone else 'just because'? He clearly must have a source for his power, and I don't think he can just kill everything at a moments notice, the Doctor in Pyramids of Mars implied that he would first start with Earth then move on to other worlds, I think he actually needs to be present within a certain radius for his powers to work. He was also imprisoned, so his powers aren't limitless or he would be able to simply escape. It was also implied that he can be destroyed, but that he wasn't because it was against the principles of the Osirans.
He didn't do it because then he would destroy himself. He still wants a universe to rule over. I just used that as an example for something he could do. But it is telling that in all of Sutekh's appearances (so far), he has never been at full power - which I think is very telling of how powerful he is. If writers deliberately need to restrict him, then it's clear he is of an immense power that isn't easily defeated. He was only defeated and imprisoned originally by others of the same race as him. But now he's the last of the Osirans so there's no one even remotely with his power out there
I can be your strength, I can be the last nightmare you ever have, you will agree to be me sooner, or later this side of madness, or the other . I AM A MARA!
