Nice work, I have one of the jumbo tins - 2x the size of those ones, filling it with $2 coins...I’ve been going for 3 years and it’s only a quarter full! Another tin was half full of $1 and silver = $902. Great way to save and teach kids how to start saving.
True story: straight out of high school in 1971 I was put in charge of the main vault at a local bank. One day, a senior man walked in asking me if he could cash in some loose change. I agreed and asked him to give me his container. He replied " oh, the coins are in the car". When he asked for a cart to help bring them in I knew something was up. Long story short he had over $6,000 in change! He came back 2 more times over the next 2 months or so. Each time the amount was over $6,000! To put this in perspective $6,000 in 1971 money is about $37,000 in todays money!!!! True story
