The colorful commentator from the beginning is Ray Hudson, he works for beIN Sports and was basically the English voice for La Liga, the Spanish Football League that includes FC Barcelona where Messi spent 21 years. Ray is extremely fun, but it's when he's at a loss for words and just squeals that I find him most entertaining and most honest because it seems to be a natural reaction. If you go down the Messi rabbit hole I'm sure you'll get to hear it quite a bit. Welcome to the magic corner of Football 🥰
He's the embodiment of 'Balance Is Strength'. Every touch, pass and shot by him look perfectly calculated within a matter of milliseconds. It might look very simple but people who play football would definitely know how HARD it is to do what he does.
Its not the edit. Messi doesn’t dive and rarely complains. Which makes it curious when he does go down, then refs usually give yellow cards. Even for us argentines he is an odd character. He is a truly unique person, on and off the futbol field

Since messi announced his intention to join Inter Miami, Inter Miami game ticket has increased by 1400%. The teams Instagram followers have increased by 900%. He actually declined 1.2 billion dollars over three years from Saudi super league to go to America.
I love the way you do your reactions. No waffling on and on at the start, straight into it, good commentary throughout the video, smart analysis and interesting info after the video and linking to the original source. Great formula!!
For the level headed; Messi is the GOAT, regardless of who anyone's favorite player is. What really sets Messi apart is the fact that he is the best player ever in all aspects of the offensive phase. He has few real contenders, if any, when it comes to dribbling. In scoring he is rivaled by some other players however, most notably Ronaldo but also a few other old timers but what sets Messi apart from them is that he also has the most assists in history. Messi also is considered one of the greatest passers of all time but here he is rivaled by a few midfielders.. Bottom line is: He masters all the aspects of the offensive phase to an unbelievable degree. This video showed a more admirable side to his game: He never dives, which is *very* rare in football, especially nowadays. However it hardly showed any of his famous goals/clips . Messi is unrivaled in scoring actually. See RM was set for CRY7 to score the goal, and even then he couldn't outscore Messi who was sharing that with others like Neymar and Suarez. Also Messi doesn't always insist on scoring the goal...if he was doing that as CR7 you bet he would be above 1000 goals by now
Great reaction to my favorite player 😊❤️🐐 to answer a couple of your questions he's 5'7 and one of the favorite things I like about Messi is his humbleness and the fact that he doesn't go down without a damn good reason.
Not seen this before so thank you for reacting. Messi the greatest player I've ever seen live or on TV. His career is having a twilight period which culminated in him playing a key part in Argentina's World Cup win last year. American's will get a chance to see him up close and personal as he lines up in David Beckham's Inter Miami.
The thing with Messi is that he doesn't consider failure, so he doesn't give up when something would seem impossible.. most normal people does get that split second of doubt when something is just close to impossible, and that belief in his abilities is very inspiring Messi is famous for never diving, he doesn't know how to stop and to him football is a sport I am not even a big football fan anymore due to the constant diving(I don't like cheating) so I don't watch football games, but I enjoy watching Messi
ray hudson is the best commentator there is, he appreciates good football like no other north american can, if you watch the greatest player of all time play and you love football, you get reactions like his.
The announcer is Ray Hudson, he's my favorite hands down. 2nd would be Peter Drury! And yes your deduction is correct, Messi does not take dives, which is one of the most respected aspects of him as a player.
He's like the great running backs. He always seems aware of his position and direction of travel, and keeps his feet moving. If this were a video game, Messi would have been nerfed by now.
This video doesn't even do him justice. He's the best passer, goal scorer & dribbler of all time. You need to watch Messi the goat video. Will be your most watched video ever
Fans admire Messi not just for his skills but for his character. He never dives!!! He also elevates the whole team. This clip shows off mostly his dribbling and balance skills. But apart from being the most prolific goal scorer ever, he has also some of the highest number of assists ever as well.
#Lionelmessi legendary is the best of all time greatest complete versatile football player in the world. he deserve all achievement because #LM10 is the best.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Messi is the complete footballer. He makes everyone around him better. He draws 3 or 4 players and passes to guy they should be covering. he is super quick, his balance is superb, he has a knack for striking the ball with perfect touch, He has insane football IQ, and he doesn't dive. If he goes down it is because he got foulded, typically really hard lol!
It's not just this video, everything about messi demands respect. Humble, hard working and honest, he doesn't dive. It got to the point that if he went over it was nearly always a free kick because the refs knew he doesn't go down out of choice.
The commentator is Ray Hudson the magisterial. I've watched Messi for maybe 10 years and I think I saw him fake a dive once vs Espanyol if I'm not mistaken.
We do appreciate CR7, he's the complete forward, tall powerful, poacher, skilled winger in his early days and most of all his beast winning mentality..etc. In any sport he would def be the star and a top player. If born in a different era, would've been the top dog of his generation. The thing is CR7 antics and his fan claims that he's better or even close to Messi is why ppl hate on CR7 sometimes. Other than both scoring crazy amounts of goals, there's no comparison at all.
@@sumomaster5585 yeah I acknowledge CR7 is a very talented footballer. His antics, attitude, and aloofness detract from his likability. Still just considering ability, Messi is better. and he has the accolades to prove it.
Messi's mentality and playing style is the key to success. You ever wondered why Honey Badgers are so successful?... They don't care about anything but winning. Nothing else matters, not even death. If one can reach this state of mind anything is possible. A person doesn't have to be a athlete to apply such a strategy to his or her life. This mentality is applicable to any facet of life. The only roadblock that is in front of you is yourself. When you reach "Honey Badger" mindset, is when you reach self empowerment and spiritual enlightenedment.
What make Messi golden on his elder years going to mls it's not as much the individual part of his game, but actually his vision, psg didn't get that, that dude can stand still and put the ball anywhere it's needed, that's how good his vision is and yeah from time to time he will do his thing!.

I've written football articles in magazines and played my fair share, I love the game deeply. Messi isn't my favourite player ever, but I'd be hard pressed to debt he's the best, it's not recency bias, he has been the best in the world since 2009, he isn't anymore but not by much, he's still very much close enough to peak. He spent the last 2 years at Paris Saint Germain, a club with big ambitions who don't do much outside of domestic (European competitions are the golden grail of football in Europe, you play in your domestic league every year and if you do good enough one year you'll be invited to play in "the champions league", or lesser european competitions as well)
Messi is the G.O.A.T of football and the god of football he is just every thing he completed the football...u just watch more Messi video and u will understand
The commentator managed to drop a quote about Einsteins thoughts on quantum entanglement during a sports match. You don't often hear things like that when watching sports 😅
worth noting that his effectiveness is at times shabby and that the current overall level of world football elevates him higher than it would normally in the wcf and when bfc lost to arsenal, he wasn't all that good (though he does random great things)
He's 5.4 -5.5 (after intensive growth hormonal therapy), but he carried himself like a cargo train, a train gifted with god level skill and intelligence and kinetics and the strength of a 25 yo prime 6 feet muscle athlete... The only one almost his level was Ronaldinho Gaucho (The Witch), a monster who hapens to be his "trainer" when Messi went to Barcelona team being a 17 yo teenager. Gaucho was so gifted, he lacks of discipline consciously (parties, women, drinking). Messi learned that and surpassed his master with discipline. Messi is, without any doubt, the greatest football player ever.
It's more normal in soccer to get hit and keep playing. It's just that zoomed out you don't really get to pay attention to all the tackles going on. Yes theirs dives, and sadly they have become fairly common, but don't get it twisted, soccer is tough and has some of the most brutal tackles in sports, and players are playing on over half of the time.
Taking dives, and just playing for free kicks, is something that is drilled into soccer players when they're young. My family couldn't afford to send any of us into after school sports, so I only learned how to play soccer by playing with/against the kids at school. All those kids who took the afterschool soccer programs always played for free kicks or throw ins. I was too young to know what they were doing. I always kept playing on, despite them trying to trip me or bump me, or them trying to let the ball go out of bounds. They keep expecting people to play for free kicks, so you could always catch them unprepared simply by staying on your feet and playing on. Messi plays are the only thing in soccer that's remotely watchable to me. No dives. Just continuous forward movement, instead of playing for the refs decisions.
Lets goooo. Thank u for these football reactions. If u like do some on: 'These skills should be illegal' or on players like cristiano ronaldo, ronaldinho or neymar.
Every touch he makes on the ball is calculated, expecting the defender and knowing the right way to get around them. And dont get me started on his finishing touches
About the diving question, first a correction. You say he gets hit and just gets right back up. That by definition can not be a dive. A dive is when you dont get hit, or get hit in a way you can stay up, and go down. And to answer your question, when a player gets hit and goes down, he will get back up when he sees that he can still come out ahead. That rarely is the case for normal players so they are content with staying down and getting as freekick. But with Messi it happens a lot. He is just that good.
You are right but "amazingly" in England, for example, when there were No Subs or just one, players, rarely, ever got "injured" or stayed down. In THe 1960s/1970's it was really frowned upon by players and supporters, alike.
The "problem" is that Americans or in general who don't know anything about football don't have idea of what it means to control a ball with your foot, so it's hard for them to understand how incredible what Messi can do is (maybe someone understand but it doesn't seem so extraordinary to them). At least this is the impression I have when I watch these reactions on football (not only about Messi).
This is a great channel 🔥. Videos about his success w his club team from a young age (most years) - "the messi era" / "the goat" . Videos about his struggles and success w his national team - "messi against all odds" , "the drama of argentina" , "world champion". At age 35 he finally won every single trophy he could in football.🐐 How good he is compared to other legends- "the definitive goat comparistion messi vs ronaldo" so he ven better than all this (mostly old Videos) show...
I wonder how much it would cost for me to hire that commentator to record a hype video for me, for whenever I'm feeling depressed or not motivated to exercise.
5ft 7in. seems a bit of a stretch. At Barcelona you could have a photo taken in which he would be digitally added next to you. I'm 6ft 2in but he really did appear tiny beside me!

He spent the last 2 years at Paris Saint Germain, a club with big ambitions who don't do much outside of domestic (European competitions are the golden grail of football in Europe, you play in your domestic league every year and if you do good enough one year you'll be invited to play in "the champions league", or lesser european competitions as well)
Always good to see that smile 😊
Messi is just an alien. The greatest to play the beautiful sport.
Littlest guy on the field, constantly being fouled and beat on, and all he did in response is score. He's an alien, but so much fun to watch. 😊
Messi is the G.O.A.T of football and the god of football he is just every thing he completed the football...u just watch more Messi video and u will understand
love your chanel.great work. Thanks
The announcers have the same energy as the ones in the "Scott Stirling" sketch.
Yes Messi signing with the mls will be very profitable for Beckham and all entities involved
damn ppl do first time reacting to messi while im out here unaware when i started watching him lol i just remember myself as a kid with his shirt on
More Messi please.
Messi never dives
The commentator managed to drop a quote about Einsteins thoughts on quantum entanglement during a sports match. You don't often hear things like that when watching sports 😅
The commentator is Geordie legend, Ray Hudson.
worth noting that his effectiveness is at times shabby and that the current overall level of world football elevates him higher than it would normally
in the wcf and when bfc lost to arsenal, he wasn't all that good (though he does random great things)
You are fun to watch & your followers are also brilliant
I have been on here for 14 years and she is the most intelligent reactor that I know.
Barely a minute in and those commentators have me dying laughing.
Believe me, this video isn’t even close to do him justice
9:02 fell in love instantly
El mejor jugador de la historia nadies le llega a los talones goar 🐐
The "problem" is that Americans or in general who don't know anything about football don't have idea of what it means to control a ball with your foot, so it's hard for them to understand how incredible what Messi can do is (maybe someone understand but it doesn't seem so extraordinary to them).
At least this is the impression I have when I watch these reactions on football (not only about Messi).
This is a great channel 🔥.
Videos about his success w his club team from a young age (most years) - "the messi era" / "the goat" .
Videos about his struggles and success w his national team - "messi against all odds" , "the drama of argentina" , "world champion".
At age 35 he finally won every single trophy he could in football.🐐
How good he is compared to other legends- "the definitive goat comparistion messi vs ronaldo"
so he ven better than all this (mostly old Videos) show...
He never dives.
Roy Hudson is the commentator. Messi is 5'7".
I love your Videos. ❤🎉
The art of Human. 👽 Greatest of all time 🐐
That announcer is awesome! Just started reading 'A Fighter's Heart.' You might like since you're into MMA.
I don’t know this book, I’ll look it up (:
Messi is football.
I saw Pele play four times. Lionel Messi is a lot more exciting to watch
There’s a lot of good videos showing Messi’s abilities. But if you want to get an understanding how just how insanely good he is theres a video called messi vs ronaldo that goes quite deep into the statistics of his career.
Cool video
you remind me of my wife. i've watched your reactions for quite a while. i think you're brilliant.
She is brilliant. (That's "No Protocol" I mean) although I am sure your wife is,as well:)
The Magic Man 👆🐐👆🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷👑
Messi is 3 Foot 1 with cleats one. On a good day. On a bad day he is 10 feet tall.
This announcer fucking loves Messi 😂 he describes messi like no one does
Messi ❤🇦🇷🇺🇸🇧🇷👏👏
Try " mohamed salah all 137 goals". He's a machine! LOVE your channel, you're super smart n charismatic!
Messi❤🔥🐐
Hey, I love your channel! in regards to if Messi playing for Inter Miami CF will increase the viewership? Yes, it definitly will lol, as far as I know there is a large latin american community in Miami that i fell like is going to start attending to the games to watch him play, I know I would if I lived there. I know that a lot of people from my country (I'm from Argentina) are going to start watching the MLS just because Messi is going to be there, even though none of those people knew about the MLS a couple of months ago before the news about Lionel and the Inter started flying around (myself included). I recommend whatching this video as well if you'd like to see more about Messi ua-cam.com/video/ZmKy_fnRM_E/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MagicalMessi
Greetings from Argentina!
I have a book: The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell. Just finished, was fantastic.
