Bruh, the oven trap was obviously solved by turning the valve next to the devil inside the oven. Even Jigsaw said "when you're in hell, only the devil can help you out"
My thoughts watching this. The only way you miss it is if you’re on your phone during the movie

I love the fact that if Detective Matthews had listened, he’d know where his son was when Jigsaw said “He’s in a safe place.”
I only got that reference when the reveal happened 😂 but it was subtle & well done when watching it for the very first time
Mike - In response to your comments about the furnace trap and Obi not having a chance, if you look at the scene again, theres a drawing inside the furnace of a devil pointing at a valve with the word "twist" written next to it, implying that Obi was supposed to reach over the fire and twist the valve to put the fire out and survive.
Saw 2 to me is a great sequel. All the heroes are unlikeable but you root for them at the same time. And the twist with Amanda being the apprentice was something I didn't see coming. Alot of the saw films feel like student films sometimes😂.
To be fair in the later films it explains why some of the traps were unbeatable.

I died at Robert Smith Cosplaying Amanda... STOP IT.😂 I know people love this one and its a lot of people's favorites. Its never been one of mine and I rewatch it less than the others. I enjoy the later sequels with Hoffman. He's so damn cold. Its great.

Literally just watched this 20min ago & it had been about 7+ years since I had watched it last….end of the day this movie is quietly good asf! Gonna splurge the rest of the franchise today 💯

When John Kramer breaks his own rules I'm pretty sure it's not the writer's mistake of forgetting about the rules, John is supposed to be a hypothetical psychopath who uses stuff like "reawakening" and the whole "everyone has a choice I didn't kill anyone" thing to try and justify his horrible actions
This is a great sequel. Tobin and Donnie's scenes in particular are amazing. I dont agree about bad acting, some of the characters are annoying in the game but i never thought the acting was bad.
Tobin and Donnie had intense scenes, but I will agree with Mike that the acting of the people trying to escape was pretty corny at times

@alexerickson6331 Xavier (big guy) is definitley not a bad actor at all, he was very good in the movie. His character was a total asshole, that doesn't mean his acting was bad. Pretty sure Mike even said he was good. He was perfect as raging, rude, asshole who only cared about himself. Matthews son Daniel was good too, he was crying or scared a lot because he's literally just an innocent teenage kid who's been thrown into a room full of criminals and into a life or death situation with deadly traps and nerve gas. Wtf do you expect him to act like? Sounds like you just didn't like those characters, because there was no problem with the acting for those two.

I think it's partly implied that the Poison going through their system is affecting them, which is why they start making dumber and dumber decisions the longer the movie goes on. Kinda similar to how, when you're *really* exhausted or sick, your thought process is heavily hindered.

Just got started watching all the Saw films leading up to Saw X, I never saw (get it) any of them, but I watched the first one yesterday and just now I seen the second one.
The first one is great, and I think this one is really good. The ending was a good twist and I actually thought maybe the cameras was recorded but I didn't think it was until the twist came up and I was surprised.
I loved John's quote when he said, "Those who don't appreciate life do not deserve life."
My biggest problem with this series is them always saying Jigsaw isnt a murderer and that everyone has the opportunity to survive. Like the guy in the first movie when Amanda had to get the key out of his stomach... what chance did that guy have!?
We never see it on screen but the assumption is that he lost a game and this was his punishment. Because it's only an assumption and never confirmed it would be murder yes.
Hey man, I doubt you'll even see this comment but I just wanted to say you have NO IDEA how refreshing this channel is! I don't know how it's taken me this long to stumble across this channel but I am so glad I did! Literally everything I've been asking for from a horror channel, no BS no subscriber begging, being GENUINELY funny without forcing it, just so refreshing! Keep up the good work brother
I also thought it was interesting that in “Scream 4” they mention the “Saw” franchise and Erik Knudsen plays Donnie Wahlberg’s son in this and Robbie in “Scream 4”.
Saw 2 is one of my favourites apart from Saw 6. I love the dynamic between John and Eric

For pure entertainment value, I'll take this one, it's flaws don't irk me that much, good kills/traps, tons of blood and gore. Did anyone else find it funny the way Det. Matthews was beating the the shit out of John? I 😂ed hard at that. Tobin owned this movie.

Shawnee Smith was pregnant during filming, but kept it a secret from everyone, including the director and producers. Her daughter gave the secret away one day during lunch, but only to the director Darren Lynn Bousman.

Been watching through this franchise myself. I've only seen the first two ever so the rest have and will be first watches for me.
So far, I really liked the first 2 but I still like the 1st one better than the 2nd. Agree with your takes on the characters in the 2nd 100%.

I actually prefer saw 2 and 3 to the first one.
Been running through all of these leading up to the new one. I really enjoy Donnie Wahlberg in this one, he brings some quality acting which is missing in a lot of these. AGREED that the cast we follow trying to escape are terrible😂 I find this series enjoyable as hell no matter how muddled the storylines get later on lol
The First was Fresh and New ... but the sequels are all the same ... im not a big Saw fan ...
That freaking razor blade box made me squirm! I couldn't even watch the entire scene.
BTW...I really can't stand Shawnee Smith. I don't know if it's because she played Amanda so well that it instantly turned me off OR her acting in general. For me, she's on a list of annoying actors with Juliette Lewis & Jennifer Tilly.
