It was actually Michael Keaton’s decision to not include more screen time for Beetlejuice in this sequel just to kind of balance it out and not show him too much.
@@mikemckague9506 Same the exact opposite thing of what I've heard... If anything the #1 thing people are preaching about is Michael Keaton and how much more screentime he has.
A Beetlejuice Sequel movie cannot be the same as the original, as anyone can tell Beetlejuice was and still is the main character in this movie. I think it rival the first movie, in no way does it dishonor the previous.
@@Ssense717agree, I grew up watching the original it was the most important movie to me as a kid and honestly I thought this movie was a fantastic companion film, it’s not as good as the original but I wasn’t expecting it to be. To say this movie was crap is a great exaggeration.
Wow we watched a completely different movie. I did love aspects of the movie don’t get me wrong however there was a lot wrong in my opinion. I agree the beginning was killer and a true throwback. Using the original music was also very heartwarming. For me though I felt this was the most soulless Tim Burton film ever made. It felt forced and the storyline was all over the place. It felt like we were watching a teen drama ft Beetlejuice. There definitely needed more Beetlejuice screen time. Additionally, as I am someone who loves Monica Bellucci I felt her character and storyline (while giving some insight into BJs history) was just unnecessary; she was visually appealing but this role didn’t do her skill set justice. The pacing felt rushed and the manic comedy of Beetlejuice was just not enough. You couldn’t get a better Beetlejuice than M K, they should have given us more. Overall maybe I’m being overly critical as the original 1988 Beetlejuice is my all time favourite movie. While I tried so hard to like this movie my expectations were crushed, keep in mind my expectations were lowered given the recent movie remake flops we’ve been seeing over the last few years. still this movie didn’t even live up to my lowered expectations. 😢
So sad to hear this, it’s also my favorite childhood movie but thankfully I had the opposite experience, I thought it was a fantastic companion film. They did a great job bringing Beetlejuice to the present era while keeping that original essence.
Keaton only had a total of 17 mins screen time in the original but I honestly thought this one was going to be more focused on Beetlejuice but glad to hear it’s still a good movie. Luv ya guys! ♥️
The 1 uncensored F- bomb was hilarious, Bob rocks & the sandworm was great. But it really needed Adam & Barbara Maitland, they really were soul of the original.
Saw it last night, I loved it, I wasn’t expecting some dark masterpiece. I had a great time and I feel like that’s what you want n a sequel like this. I can see enjoying this movie more each time
remember the first beetlejuice michael Keaton had about 9 minutes screen time. im glad the kept it limited i think if he had more screen time it could have been too much.
Ok, getting side tracked here but i just watched Halloween Ends again. How does Michael know what a garbage disposal is? Dudes been locked up for 40 years since a kid and i doubt many had a garbage disposal in the 70s.
Michael Myers (The Shape) has always had a preternatural or even outright supernatural edge to him (I prefer to refer to Michael as an it, much like Loomis does). Nobody sits on their keister for 15 years staring at walls and just casually has the strength to be lugging tombstones around. In real life, muscles atrophy without proper daily use and the average weight of a tombstone is approximately 86lbs, that's nearly 40kg. Now we can try to handwave it as an unhinged and adrenaline fueled monster, but even with adrenaline in real life, 15 years of inactivity would be devastating for physical capability. Loomis said it himself. He would watch him sit in a room and stare at a wall. There was something inhuman within Myers. An evil force. Regardless, Michael also displayed the uncanny ability to drive despite being locked up in the institution since he was 6 years old. The Shape seems to be able to work out mechanical things just fine without any prior knowledge, almost like a superpower. Ignoring all that and trying to give a real world reason? We can just say that along the way of killing people in 2018 and Halloween Kills, Michael flicked what it thought was a light switch and it accidentally turned on a garbage disposal. That or it saw someone using one at some unseen earlier point.
Been so long since ive been able to comment on a video, kids taking up all my time but had to say, so happy to see you guys in the same room!!!! I missed this so much!!!!! Looking good guys and love the hair Mike!!! ❤

Can’t wait to see this on Sunday with my fam. **EDIT - 8/10, I really liked how much physical comedy there was. All the new additions were great as well. The music rules! Couldn’t get enough of Bob.
Glad they recorded at Mike's place. Cos J was allowed to yell and not have to whisper like at his apartment. Like he's trying to make sure April can't hear him finger blast Mike under the desk. "Who's there!?"

The only scene that should of been cut out of the movie was where the movie went black & white and was in a different language and you had to read the screen.

I was really disappointed with the movie 😭 Michael Keaton was great but they didn't bring any new ideas to the table besides the Soul train with this one. The biggest flaw has to be the writing by far! It was atrocious!
