Nice video! Like the wandering and talking format. I'm planning to visit Nepal this fall so your tips and info come in handy. I like how you deal with tour guides, touts, etc. because it becomes a problem in some places. I think I will adopt your method, demeanor and attitude in the future. Like you, I prefer wandering on my own, walking around to familiarize myself and discover things, and maybe do a tour at some point later, because it's definitely a smart move to do the research on tours rather than getting pulled in by the people on the streets, in taxis, etc. Looking forward to seeing more videos of Nepal!
yea that's the idea. i ended up doing a few little tours later in the small towns outside of kathamandu. they're less pushy and expensive, and less walkable towns. so I did tours with a cab driver. i had a nice time that way. you'll see in later videos I used a guide/cab. i didn't film it, but I become friends with the guy and had Nepali whiskey at his home and met his family. so I'd say small town ones are a good idea 😊
